파랑집중에 의한 다방향 극한파 생성의 효율성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Wave Focusing Efficiency in the Generation of Directional Extreme Waves)

  • Extreme waves are generated in a model basin based on directional wave focusing. The targeted wave field is described by double summation method and it is applied to serpent-type wavemaker system. The extreme crest amplitude at a designed location is obtained by syncronizing the phases and focusing the directions of wave components. Two distinguished spectrums of constant wave amplitude and constant wave steepness are adapted to describe the frequency distribution of component waves. The surface profile of generated wave packets is measured by wave guage array and the effects of dominant spectral parameters governing extreme wave characteristics are investigated. It is found that frequency bandwidth, center frequency, shape of frequency spectrum and directional range play a significant role in the wave focusing. In particular, the directional effect significantly enhances the wave focusing efficiency.

유역모형을 이용한 금강상류 유역의 유사이송율 산정 (Estimation of Sediment Delivery Ratio in Upper Geum River Basin Using Watershed Model)

  • Soil erosion and sediment delivery ratio(SDR) were estimated by using HSPF model in 3 tributaries of upper stream of Geum river-basin. Meteorological data and other input data were constructed from 2006 to 2011 year by the HSPF model. Flow and suspended solid results were relatively matched with the measurement data through the calibration and validation of the model. Soil erosion was proportional to the amount of rainfall and the area of watershed based on the results of model calibration and validation. SDR in Moojunamdea stream was the highest and one in Cho stream was the lowest. This was effected by the geographical characteristic. SDR was 17.6% Moojunamdea stream, 9.1% Cho stream and 13.2 % Bocheong stream. As the SDR was effected by watershed area and shape factor in this study area.

  • A TIN, Triagulated Irregular Network, based topographic modeling method and a distributed rainfall-runoff model using the topographic representation is presented. In the TIN based topographic representation, a watershed basin is modeled as a set of contiguous non-overlapping triagular facets : the watershed basin is subdivided according to streamlines to deal with water movement one-dimensionally ; and each partitioned catchment is approximated to a slope element having a quasi-three-dimensional shape by using cubic spline functions. On an approximated slope element, water movement is represented by combined surface-subsurface kinematic wave equations considering a change of slope gradient and slope width. By using the distributed rainfall-runoff model, the effects of spatial variability of soil properties on runoff response are examined.

  • The genetic algorithm is investigated fer parameters estimation of SED (storage - effective drainage) model from the Wi-stream watershed in Nakdong river basin. In the practical application of model, as a number of watershed parameters do not measure directly, it is desirable to make a good estimation from the known rainfall and runoff data. For the estimation of parameters of the SED model using the genetic algorithm, parameters of Green-Ampt equation(SM, K$\_$s/) for the estimation of an effective rainfall and initial storage(y$\_$in/) used in SED model are obtained a regression equation with 5, 10, 20 days antecedent precipitation. And as a consequence of computation, the parameters were obtained to satisfy the proposed objective function. From the comparison of observed and computed hydrographs, it shows a good agreement in the shape and the rising limb, peak, falling limb of hydrograph, so the SED model using the genetic algorithm shows a suitable model for runoff analysis in river basin.

수원 유역의 변동성 규모를 기반으로 한 설마천 시험유역의 분기 특성 해석 (Analysis of bifurcation characteristics for the Seolmacheon experimental catchment based on variable scale of source basin)

  • 본 연구에서는 수원 유역 혹은 한계지지면적의 변동성 규모에 따른 하천망의 형상 변화를 추출하여 설마천 시험유역의 분기 특성에 대한 해석을 수행하였다. 수원 유역의 면적이 감소함에 따라 대상 유역의 내부에는 하천망의 분기 현상이 발생하며, 그 결과로서 하천망의 신장(총 하천 길이의 증가)과 함께 하천망의 확장(수원의 개수 증가)이 동시에 나타남을 볼 수 있었다. 하천망이 신장되는 경우 하천 구간의 길이가 증가하는 경향이 새로운 수원이 생성되는 경향보다 우세하게 나타나는 반면, 하천망이 확장되는 경우 반대 거동에 따라 배수망이 유역 내부의 공간을 채워가는 과정으로 나타남을 확인할 수 있었다. 이로부터 자연 유역의 하천망들이 가지는 규모 불변성은 수원 유역의 규모가 감소함에 따라 나타나는 하천망의 신장 특성과 하천망의 확장 특성이 상호 균형을 이루면서 발현되는 지형학적 특성으로 기술될 수 있었다. 설마천 시험유역의 분기 구조는 하천망의 신장 특성과 규모 불변성이 공존하는 형태로 판단되며 강우로 인한 유출 현상에 보다 지배적인 역할을 하는 요인에 대한 후속 연구가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

측방 유입 수문곡선 유도를 위한 저류상수 및 집중시간의 유도 (Derivation of Storage Coefficient and Concentration Time for Derivation of Lateral Inflow Hydrograph)

  • 본 연구에서는 측방유입의 수문학적 해석을 시도해 보았다. 측방유입의 순간단위도는 여러 개의 격자가 만들어 내는 순간응답의 합으로 나타내었으며, 이는 Muskingum 하도추적모형을 수문학적으로 재해석하여 지체와 저류를 고려한 순간단위도를 이용한 것이다. 유역형상에 따른 측방유입 순간단위도의 변화를 살펴보기 위해 임의로 사각형과 삼각형 유역의 가상유역을 설정하여 각각에 해당하는 순간단위도를 유도하였다. 유도된 순간단위도는 각각 선형하천모형과 선형저수지모형의 합으로 이루어지며, 유역형상에 따라 서로 다른 특징을 보이게 된다. 집중시간과 저류상수의 일반적인 정의를 이용하여 측방유입의 저류상수를 수식적으로 유도하였으며, 그 결과 측방유입의 저류상수는 유역의 폭과 길이 및 주하도의 수문학적 특성을 알면 쉽게 산정할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

쿼드트리 분할영상의 국부이진화를 통한 팩아이스 집적도 측정 알고리즘 (An Algorithm for Measurement of Pack Ice Concentration Using Localized Binarization of Quadtree-Subdivided Image)

  • Recently, many research works on the icebreaking vessels have been published as the possibility of passing Arctic routes has been increasing. The model ship test on the pack ice model in the ice basin is actively carried out as a way to investigate the performance of icebreaking vessels. In this test, the concentration of pack ice is important since it directly affects the performance. However, it is difficult to measure the concentration because not only the pack ice has uneven shape but also it keeps floating around in the basin. In this paper, an algorithm to identify the concentration of pack ice is introduced. From a digital image of pack ice obtained in the ice basin, the goal is to measure the area of pack ice using an image processing technique. Instead of the general global binarization that yields numerical errors in this problem, a local binarization technique, coupled with image subdivision based on the quadtree structure, is developed. The concentration results obtained by the developed algorithm are compared with the manually measured data to prove its accuracy.

Numerical and experimental investigation on the global performance of a novel design of a Low Motion FPSO

  • Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units have the advantages of their ability to provide storage and offloading capabilities which are not available in other types of floating production systems. In addition, FPSOs also provide a large deck area and substantial topsides payload capacity. They are in use in a variety of water depths and environments around the world. It is a good solution for offshore oil and gas development in fields where there is lack of an export pipeline system to shore. However due to their inherently high motions in waves, they are limited in the types of risers they can host. The Low Motion FPSO (LM-FPSO) is a novel design that is developed to maintain the advantages of the conventional FPSOs while offering significantly lower motion responses. The LM-FPSO design generally consists of a box-shape hull with large storage capacity, a free-hanging solid ballast tank (SBT) located certain distance below the hull keel, a few groups of tendons arranged to connect the SBT to the hull, a mooring system for station keeping, and a riser system. The addition of SBT to the floater results in a significant increase in heave, roll and pitch natural periods, mainly through the mass and added mass of the SBT, which significantly reduces motions in the wave frequency range. Model tests were performed at the Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean Engineering (KRISO) in the fall of 2016. An analytical model of the basin model (MOM) was created in Orcaflex and calibrated against the basin-model. Good agreement is achieved between global performance results from MOM's predictions and basin model measurements. The model test measurements have further verified the superior motion response of LM-FPSO. In this paper, numerical results are presented to demonstrate the comparison and correlation of the MOM results with model test measurements. The verification of the superior motion response through model test measurements is also presented in this paper.

확산파에 기초한 분포형 유출모형의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Diffusion Wave-based Distributed Runoff Model)

  • 분포형 유출모형에 대하여는 컴퓨터의 발달과 지리정보시스템의 구축 및 관련정보의 제공이 활성화되면서 최근 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이러한 분포형 유출모형은 대상유역을 보다 세분 요소화하여 계산하는 이론적이고 물리적인 기반의 모형이다. 본 연구에서는 토지피복 상태에 따라 결정되는 매개변수와 2차원 확산파 방정식에 기초하여 지표면에서의 유출량을 계산하는 모형을 개발하였다. 기존에 연구되었거나 개발 중인 유출모형은 대부분 Manning-Strickler의 평균 유속공식과 Manning 조도계수를 이용하여 유속과 유량을 산정하고 있다. Manning 조도계수는 사용상의 편의성 때문에 보편적으로 사용하고 있으나, 차원이 일치하지 않고 추정 시 모호한 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제를 개선하기 위해 본 연구에서는 Manning-Strickler식뿐만 아니라 차원이 일치하는 Chezy의 평균유속공식을 적용하여 유출모형을 개발하였다. 또한, Chezy의 마찰계수를 적용하기 위하여 조고의 함수로 표현되는 지수형 마찰계수 산정식을 도입하였다. 따라서 모호한 조도계수의 개념을이용하지 않고 거친 정도를수치화하여 물리적인 의미를 가진마찰계수를 산정하고 적용 가능성을 검토하였다. 본 연구에서는 개발된 모형을 부채꼴 실험유역과 장방형 실험유역 및 실제유역인 안성천유역을 대상으로 6개의 사상을 적용하여 그 적용성을 확인하였다.
