  • Considering the relatively large amount of stable flexural teat results available for steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) and their dependency on the constitutive behavior of the material, a technique called “System Identification” is used for interpretating the flexural test data in order to obtain basic information on the tensile constitutive behavior of steel fiber reinforced concrete. “System Identification” was successful in obtaining optimum sets of parameters which provide satisfactory matches between the measured and predicted flexural load-deflection relationships.

  • The predictions of metal flow forging load optimal die angle and preform size are not so easy in turbine blade forging. First of all the quality of final product is influenced by side force which is one of the significant factors. in this study slab method is applied to determine optimal die angle minimizing side force and the position of preform Finally drawing of die design is obtained in optimal die angle with developing tool that is composed of Visual Basic.

  • In this paper, poppet valve with cone type poppet and sharp edged seat was studied. In order to develope poppet valve which have a specification of 315(bar) and 3(lpm), effect of design parameter as valve seat diameter, poppet angle, spring stiffness and spring pre-load was evaluated. The validity of simulation was confirmed and basic data far poppet valve design was derived.

  • The basic concept of this control scheme is that of an ideal massless manipulator carrying a load. The purpose of this paper is to converge the observed forces and moments at the mass center to the desired applied forces and moments. And the corresponding control algorithm is proposed.

  • This Paper presents a novel resonant switching Watkins-Johnson DC-DC converters. In the proposed converters, the basic steady-state analysis of the have been presented for the ZVS type Watkins-Johnson converter. From the results, it is shown that the output voltage of the converter is independant of load resistance, and is determined only by the switching frequency. Consequently, a design procedure is presented that minimizes voltage stress to the switch while maintaining ZVS for all loads.

  • This paper propose zero voltage and zero current switching buck converter using a single switch. This converter is electrically equivalent to two basic buck converter in a cascade. Proposed converter is switching at high frequency and operate in high efficiency at wide load range due to resonant switching.

  • Analysis of heat transfer on small-size Diesel engine is required for the development of high performance and efficiency engine. This basic study aims to establish heat transfer technique for marine Diesel engine. The main results from this study are as follows : 1) Overall engine heat transfer correlation of Re-Nu. 2) Radiant heat flux as fraction of total heat flux over the load range of several different Diesel engine. 3) Characteristics of heating curves on piston, cylinder liner and head. 4) Surface heat flux versus injection timing.

  • In this paper, I propose a thread scheduling policy for faster packet processing on the network processors with multithreaded multiprocessor architecture. To implement the proposed policy, I derived several basic parameters related to the thread scheduling and included a new parameter representing the packet contents and the features of the multithreaded architecture. Through the empirical study using a network processor, I proved the proposed scheduling ploicy provides better throughput and load balancing compared to the generally used thread scheduling policy.

  • Generally, steel-concrete composite structures are considered very useful and powerful to resist external axial and flexural load due to its elevated capacity originated from composite action. This usefulness of composite structures can be applied to the drilled shafts of marine bridges that require large-scale such as entire pile-column system. As the basic study of this application, several design codes are analyzed and compared in this research.
