신경계 중환자의 욕창발생에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pressure Ulcers in Neurological Patients in Intensive Care Units)

  • Purpose: To provide basic data and to identify the risk of pressure ulcers among neurological patients in ICU. Method: The participants in the study were on 78 neurological patients in the ICU of 3 hospitals. Data were collected every other day from 24 hours after admission, for up to 40 days or until discharge. The total period of data collection was 3 months. The risk assessment scales used for pressure ulcer were the Cubbin & Jackson(1991) scale and the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel(1989) skin assessment tool. Results: There was a significant relationship between having a pressure ulcers and weight, skin condition, mental status, respiration, hygiene and hemodynamic status compared to not having a pressure ulcer. The incidence rate of the pressure ulcer was 28.2%(n=22). Of these patients the mean number of hospitalization days until pressure ulcer development was 5.2 days. The most common pressure ulcer site was the coccyx(39.3%). Based on a cut-off point of 24, 9 patients with risk scores <24 on admission also showed risk score for development of pressure ulcers, 10 patients with pressure ulcer scores ${\geq}24$ were older, hospitalized for a longer time, had low serum albumin, low hemoglobin, diabetes mellitus and surgery. Conclusion: In order to make the Cubbin & Jackson risk assessment scales more useful, there is a need to determine the reliability of the upper cut-off point 24. The result also showed a need to assess other risk factors and for early identification of at-risk patients in order to provide preventive care from admission to discharge.

지역축제 기초품질(BASICQUAL) 척도 개발 (Development of Measurement Standard Scale for Festival Basic Quality(BASICQUAL))

  • 본 연구는 지속가능한 축제품질 척도 개발 가운데 축제의 기초품질 척도를 개발하여 결과변수인 축제애착, 축제만족, 행동의도 간의 영향관계를 실증적으로 검증하였다. 축제 기초품질의 구성요인은 기반성, 유대성, 열정성, 주제성, 문화성이다. 척도의 개발의 목적은 축제의 기반환경인 축제적 토양에 대한 평가를 통해 축제의 지속가능성을 진단할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 언론기사 메시지 분석을 위해 분석의 틀로써 KINDS를 이용하여 5개의 구성요인을 도출하였다. 그리고 후속적 문헌연구를 통해 축제 기초품질 척도를 개발하였고 개발된 척도를 실증분석하기 위해 "금산인삼축제"에 참여한 방문객을 표본 집단으로 이용하였다. 분석결과, 축제 기초품질 구성요인 가운데 기반성, 유대성, 문화성이 축제몰입에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 축제애착은 축제만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 축제만족 역시 행동의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 기존의 선행연구들과 달리 우리나라 지역축제의 기초를 평가하기 위한 척도를 처음으로 개발하여 실증분석을 통해 검증하였다. 이로써 축제기초를 보다 객관적으로 평가하기 위한 세분화된 축제품질 측정의 토대를 마련하였다.

  • Basic discharge characteristics of a ferroelectric ball and mica sheet double barrier have been studied for learning the fundamentals of the barrier discharges and for checking the potential to be used as a plasma generator. It is found that plasma generation of the plasma generator was influenced greatly by the dielectric constant of the ferroelectric ball barrier and applied power frequency. As a result, there are optimum conditions of the dielectric constant as a barrier and the applied frequency to generate ozone effectively, which were ${\varepsilon}_r$=600 and f=4 kHz at the present experimental case.

교통사고발생 빈도와 생체리듬에 관한 고찰 (A study on the traffic accident occurrence applied biorhythm)

  • There has been a growing interest in the application of biorhythm theory to programmes of accident prevention and performance prediction. In order for biorhythm to be applie to practice its validity and reliability should be established. This paper reported the results of three different set of data, and these data were tabulated and analysed in various ways. The basic method of analysis consisted of stat- istical comparision of actual frequences of occurrence from the collected data with those frequencies which would be expected if biorhythm had no effect. The results of the occurrence data indicated that no definite evidence in support of the influence of the fundamentals could be detected. Actual frequencies of occurrence from the collected data were not significantly different them those expected assuming random occurrence.

선형대수학의 학습에서 벡터이론은 행렬이론보다 선행되어야 하는가 (Is vector theory prior to matrix theory in teaching of linear algebra)

  • 오늘날 선형대수학은 이론의 기초적 성격과 응용의 풍부성으로 인해 대학수학에 있어서 필수적인 분야로서 자리하고 있다. 벡터이론과 행렬이론은 선형대수학의 주된 분야이다. 본 논문에서는 선형대수학의 학습에서 벡터이론과 행렬이론 중 어느 것을 먼저 도입하는 것이 바람직할 것인가에 대한 질문을 제시할 때 본 연구의 주된 결과, 역사적 순서와는 달리 벡터이론이 행렬이론보다 선행되어야 함을 주장한다.

Sample Preparation for Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Mass Spectrometry

  • This article reviews the fundamentals of sample preparation used in matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS). MALDI is a soft ionization method used to generate analyte ions in their intact forms, which are then detected in MS analysis. MALDI-MS boasts fast analysis times and easy-to-use operation. The disadvantages of MALDI-MS include the occurrence of matrix-associated peaks and inhomogeneous distribution of analyte within the matrix. To overcome the disadvantages of MALDI-MS, various efforts have been directed such as using different matrices, novel matrix systems, various additives, and different sample preparation methods. These various efforts will be discussed in detail. This article will benefit those who would like to obtain basic knowledge of MALDI sample preparation and those who would like to use MALDI-MS in their chemical analyses.

Nanoscale Probing of Ferroelectric Domain Switching Using Piezoresponse Force Microscopy

  • In ferroelectric materials, piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) has been widely used to explore ferroelectric domain switching. In this article, we review the fundamentals of nanoscale probing of ferroelectric domain switching using PFM, including the basic principles of PFM and a variety of PFM studies on local domain switching. We also introduce advanced PFM techniques for exploring switching behavior. Finally, we discuss several issues and perspectives in nanoscale probing of ferroelectric domain switching using PFM. PFM has played an important role in exploring switching behavior in ferroelectric materials, and it could be further developed to probe more detailed switching information.

마찰용접의 이론과 실제의 적용 (Fundamentals and Basic Application of Friction Welding)

  • 마찰용접의 실제적인 생산에의 응용은 중요 부품의 용접에 그 적용이 검토 되었지만 마찰용접의 실적이 적었기 때문에 다른각종의 용접법과 용접부 특성을 비교 확인할 정도이었을 뿐 마찰용접을 본격적으로 도입하는 데에는 많은 저항이 있었다. 그러나 각종 시험을 되풀이하고 확고한 근거가 마련된 단계에서도 품질에 대한 불안 이나 일반화되어 있지 않다고 하는 관점에서도 마찰용접이 갖는 매력 때문에 도입이 시도되었다. 따라서 마찰용접품의 관리에 대해서도 비정상적일 정도로 배려를 거듭하 여 초창기에는 전체를 비파괴 시험하거나 sample 파괴시험하는 등의 상당히 번잡한 검사를 거쳤다. 그러나 마찰용접품의 불량률이 격감하였다는 것과 검사결과가 양호 하다는 등 종래의 용접법에 비해 용접부의 품질이 매우 우수하고 또 재현성이 높다는 점이 증명된 이후 흡속히 마찰용접이 각 산업분야에 도입되었다.

한국에 자생하는 항암식물 개발에 관한 기초학적 연구 (A Basic Study on Development of Anti-cancer Medical Wild Plants Growing in Korea)

  • There shoul be high possibility of preventive and immune eficacy aqainst cancer when the anti-cancer plants are properly utilized in human dietary life as it is evident that considerable part of wild plantd or both medicinal use and ood are growing naturally in the mountainous area in korea, some of which have ben proved to be anti-cancer plants. this study, at this initial stage, has been done to acquire the fundamentals of 235 kinds of ante-cancer plants growing naturally in korea. from the results o thisresearch, the anti-cancer plants have been sorted out by amily and its number. and also the status of regional distribution of those plants and the kinds of anti-cancer plants used for both medicine and food were studied and experimented to see the medical efficacy against anti-tumor. this experiments were conduced in accodance with the total packed cell volume method and cyto toxicity method.

Fundamentals of Numerical Modeling of the Mid-latitude Ionosphere

  • The ionosphere is one of the key components of the near-Earth's space environment and has a practical consequence to the human society as a nearest region of the space environment to the Earth. Therefore, it becomes essential to specify and forecast the state of the ionosphere using both the observations and numerical models. In particular, numerical modeling of the ionosphere is a prerequisite not only for better understanding of the physical processes occurring within the ionosphere but also for the specification and forecast of the space weather. There are several approaches for modeling the ionosphere, including data-based empirical modeling, physics-based theoretical modeling and data assimilation modeling. In this review, these three types of the ionospheric model are briefly introduced with recently available models. And among those approaches, fundamental aspects of the physics-based ionospheric model will be described using the basic equations governing the mid-latitude ionosphere. Then a numerical solution of the equations will be discussed with required boundary conditions.
