밴드구조 VHAR 모형 (Banded vector heterogeneous autoregression models)

  • 본 논문에서는 장기 기억성을 가지는 고차원 시계열 데이터 분석에 유용한, 밴드 구조의 계수행렬들을 가지는 밴드구조 VHAR (Banded-VHAR) 모형을 제안한다. 밴드구조 VHAR 모형은 인접한 차원의 시계열에서만 상관구조를 가지는 성근 고차원 시계열 모형으로 밴드구조에 영향을 주는 요인으로는 대표적으로 지리적 특성이 있다. 밴드구조 VHAR 모형의 빠른 추정을 위해 본 논문은 행별추정방법을 사용하고 또 밴드의 크기를 추정하기 위해 BIC와 잔차제곱합의 비율을 이용한 추정 방법을 소개하였다. 더불어 모의 실험을 통해서 제안한 추정 방법의 점근적 일치성을 확인하였다. 실증자료 분석으로 지역별 초미세먼지 및 아파트 거래량 자료를 활용하여 모형을 적용한 결과 밴드구조 VHAR 모형이 표본외예측 능력의 우수하고, 지리적정보에 기반하여 모형의 해석이 용이하다는 큰 장점이 있음을 살펴보았다.

  • Microstructural characteristics of Al-3.63wt.%Pb hyper-monotectic alloy rapidly-solidified by melt spinning were examined. Possibility of forming a planar liquid -solid interface during rapid solidification of this alloy was also considered with a morphological stability theory, and a mechanism of forming banded structure observed at the bottom parts of melt-spinned specimens was considered as well. Application of the absolute stability criterion predicts the liquid-solid interface of the primary aluminium phase to be able to maintain a planar interface during the early stage of rapid solidification. Formation of banded structure was supposed to be resulted from the release of latent heat during solidification, which affect the stability of a planar liquid-solid interface.

신생 흰쥐와 성숙 흰쥐 각막의 미세구조 변화에 관한 연구 (An Ultrastructral changes of the new-born rats and adult rat's cornea)

  • 본 연구는 발생과정에 따른 흰쥐 각막의 변화를 주사 및 투과형 전자현미경으로 관찰하였다. 생후 1일된 안검이 개검되지 않은 흰쥐의 각막 60안, 생후 10주된 성체 흰쥐의 각막 40안을 적출하여 각막의 변화를 비교 연구 하였다. 연령증가에 따라 각막의 미세구조의 변화가 나타났으며 각막의 상피는 오각형의 모양이며, 세포간 경계는 분명하였으나 성장할수록 탈락세포는 짙은 전자밀도를 나타냈으며, 새로 생성된 세포는 밝은 전자밀도를 나타내어 명암의 차이가 뚜렷하였다. 보우만층은 연령의 증가에 따라 콜라겐섬유가 불균질한 구조에서 균질한 구조로 변화하였다. 실질층의 각막세포는 세포 소기관의 밀도가 성체로 갈수록 감소하였고, 콜라겐층은 연령증가에 따라 종횡으로 평행배열을 나타내었다. 데스멧층은 성체로 갈수록 "banded layer"에서 "non-banded layer"의 형태로 변화하였으며 층의 두께가 현저히 두꺼워진것이 관찰되었다. 내피층은 단층으로 구성되어 있으며, 성체로 갈수록 내피 세포수는 감소하는 반면 감소된 세포수의 자리는 세포 크기가 확대됨으로써 보상되었다.

저차 크로스모드를 고려한 단순지지 사각 접수 평판의 방사효율해석 (An Analysis of Radiation Efficiency of the Simply Supported Rectangular Plate in Water with Consideration of Low Order Cross Modes)

  • In this paper, radiation efficiency of the plate surround by an infinite rigid baffle is studied. The plate is simply supported and one side is in contact with air, while other side with water. The pressure and normal velocity over the plate surface are assumed as modal summations, from which a set of linear equations is obtained for fluid-structure coupled problem. It is shown that neglect of the cross modes results in overestimation of the radiation efficiency specifically for mid-frequency ranges. Based on the fact that the responses are mainly determined from the first few cross modes in addition to the diagonal terms, a new algorithm is proposed, where banded matrix is iteratively solved in computing radiation efficiency. In numerical examples, it is found that radiation efficiency obtained from banded matrix is in excellent agreement with the one from the full matrix, while computing time is significantly reduced. It is also found that as frequency grows larger, radiation efficiency considering only diagonal terms is a good approximation.

한국재래계의 염색체 분양분석에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Chromosomal Banding Analysis of Korean Native Fowl)

  • 본 실험은 우리나라 재래계의 육종 기초 자료를 얻고자 염색체의 형태와 G-, C-banding pattern을 조사하여 보았다. 시료는 성장중인 초기배아를 이용하였고 염색체 분양분석은 현재 Ohio 대학에서 시행하고 있는 방법을 다소 수정하여 행하였다. 실험결과 macrochromosome의 armratio와 centromeric index 그리고 relative length에서 다소 개량종과 차가 있으나 designation에는 차이가 없었다. Densitometric recording에 나타난 graph의 정점은 G-banding에서 1, 2, 3, 4, Z, 그리고 5번의 각 염색체에서 각각 21, 14, 12, 8, 11 그리고 4 개였고, C-banding에서는 各各 16, 13, 9, 9, 9,그리고 4 개였다. 이러한 banding pattern은 분염분석 방법에 따라 더 많이 발현시킬 수 있으리라 생각하며, banding pattern 에 의해서 genetic marker를 시사하기 위해서는 더 많은 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

Sex Differentiation and Early Gonadogenesis in Sebastes inermis Cuvier

  • Early gonadal development and sexual differentiation of dark-banded rockfish (Sebastes inermis Cuvier) were followed from parturition to 400 days post parturition (dpp). During this period, average total length (TL) increased from 0.57 to 13.18 cm. Primordial germ cells (PGCs) were first detected at 0.68 cm TL (10 dpp). When fish reached 1.52 cm TL (50 dpp), initial stages of ovarian differentiation were identified by the presence of PGCs containing condensed chromatin and their transformation into meiotic oocytes. At 10.23 cm TL (300 dpp), the ovaries gradually developed into oocytes in the primary yolk stages. Ovary growth was rapid after sex differentiation, but testis tissue continued to multiply without growing until fish reached 6.97 cm TL (200 dpp), after which the production of spermatocytes, spermatogonia, and cyst cells was apparent. Histological analysis of gonadal structure suggested a gonochoristic sexual development pathway. Our analysis of the sex ratio at 400 dpp showed a significantly higher proportion of males.

A Study of Neutronics Effects of the Spacer Grids in a Typical PWR via Monte Carlo Calculation

  • Spacer grids play an important role in maintaining the proper form of the fuel assembly structure and ensuring the safety of reactor core design. This study applies the Monte Carlo method to the analysis of the neutronics effects of spacer grids in a typical pressurized water reactor (PWR). The core problem used to analyze the neutronics effects of spacer grids is a modified version of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology benchmark problem 1B, based on an Advanced Power Reactor 1400 (APR1400) core model. The spacer grids are modeled and added to this test problem in various ways. Then, by running MCNP5 for all cases of spacer grid modeling, some important numerical results, such as the effective multiplication factor, the spatial distributions of neutron flux, and its energy spectrum are obtained. The numerical results of each case of spacer grid modeling are analyzed and compared to assess which type has more advantages in accuracy of numerical results and effectiveness in terms of geometry building. The conclusion is that the most realistic modeling for Monte Carlo calculation is the "volume-preserving" streamlined heterogeneous spacer grids, but the "banded" dissolution spacer grids modeling is a more practical yet accurate model for routine (deterministic) analysis.

웨이브렛 분해를 이용한 유색잡음 환경하의 도래각 추정 (Direction of Arrival Estimation in Colored Noise Using Wavelet Decomposition)

  • 안테나 센서 어레이를 이용하여 수신되는 전파의 도래각을 추정하는 방식으로서 MUSIC(multiple signal classification)과 같은 고유분해(eigendecomposition)를 기반으로 한 방식은 백색잡음 환경하에서는 고분해능의 우수한 성능을 보이지만 유색잡음이 존재하는 환경에서는 성능이 크게 저하된다. 본 논문에서는 주기성을 가진 신호에 잡음이 더해진 선호를 웨이브렛 영역으로 변환하여 신호와 잡음을 분리하는 방법을 사용하여 유색잡음이 있는 환경에서 도래각 추정 문제를 접근하였다. 배경잡음만 있는 경우 센서 어레이 출력을 이산 웨이브렛 분해를 하여 얻은 멀티스케일 성분들의 공분산 행렬은 밴드화된 행렬로 근사화 할 수 있는데 비하여 협대역 신호는 멀티스케일 성분간의 상관성은 급속히 감소하는 현상을 보이지 않고 공분산 행렬에서는 신호성분이 전체 행렬에 분포한다. 어레이 출력의 공분산 행렬을 웨이브렛 영역으로 변환하여 유색잡음에 해당하는 특정 밴드를 삭제하고 MUSIC과 같은 기존의 공간 스펙트럼 추정방식을 적용하여 도래각을 추정 한 다음 그 결과로 부터 신호성분을 합성하여 삭제한 밴드를 채우는 과정을 반복하여 정확한 도래각을 얻는 방안을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘의 성능을 여러 가지 형태의 상관함수 특성을 가진 유색잡음 환경에서 모의실험을 통하여 기존 방식과 비교 분석하였다.

Landmark-based Morphometric and Meristic Analysis of Serranidae

  • The landmark-based morphometric and meristic analysis of the kelp grouper (Epinephelus bruneus), red spotted grouper (E. akaara) and seven-banded grouper (E. septemfasciatus) were performed to compare the differentiation of overall body shape and structure. The measurements of the morphometric dimensions were observed in 25 parts (truss dimension: 16 parts; head part dimension: 9 parts) of 38 morphometric dimensions and also meristic differences observed in 3 parts (dorsal fin, anal fin and caudal fin) of 6 meristic counts (P < 0.05). Observed morphometric characteristics primarily involved in truss and head part dimension, kelp grouper have larger values in caudal part of truss dimension, kelp grouper, red spotted grouper and seven-banded grouper have similar values in pectoral part of truss dimension, in addition to, results of head part dimension showed that red spotted grouper have smaller values in overall dimensions (P < 0.05). As meristic characteristics, kelp grouper have more number of anal fin rays than other fish, red spotted grouper have more number of dorsal soft rays than other fish, and seven spotted grouper have more number of anal soft rays, and caudal fin rays than other fish (P < 0.05). Photographed under the x-ray, kelp grouper have the most curved vertebral column and largest swim bladder than other fishes (P < 0.05). Our results of this study confirmed that 3 subfamily fishes adequately can distinguish with external body shape, and we hope that the results of our study could be used to identify in Serranidae family as taxonomical parameters.

A Narrative Strategy of Storytelling Advertising Videos: Heineken's Case

  • The purpose of this paper was to explore the narrative strategy of storytelling advertisement videos for a beer brand Heineken. Heineken was one of the most active advertisers who had made very impressive ad videos. The author selected five story driven advertisement videos which had been most frequently watched by Internet viewers. Those were "The Insider", "Odyssey 2011", "Heineken lip gross", "Italy Activation Milan AC vs. Real Madrid", "the Match". The five selected videos have 90 second running time. The target videos were repeatedly watched and the expected key image cuts and key verbal copies were captured as well. To categorize the narrative structure and key copies of each video, Fog, Budtz & Yakaboylu's four element model of storytelling and Gustav Freytag's three act structure or five stage model of a plot were exploited as underlying theories. Most of the ad videos had clear boundary between or among the stages of the plot and used emotional appeals including humor and sexual appeals. This paper found that the target videos used visual rhetorics to enhance the viewers' persuasion and comprehension. It also revealed that the target videos took advantage of football match as an emotional engagement to get ad viewers closely banded with Heineken.
