FCST의 음양균형장치를 활용한 언어장애 증례보고 (Dysarthria with Dystonia Cases Managed by Yinyang Balancing Appliance of FCST, a TMJ Therapy for the Balance of Meridian and Neurological System)

  • Objectives: Therapeutic effect of Yinyang Balancing Appliance of functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST) for meridian and neurologic yinyang balance was observed in dysarthria with dystonia cases. Methods: Two dysarthria with dystonia cases were managed with the Yinyang Balancing Appliance on temporomandibular joint (TMJ), combined with acupuncture. Clinical outcome measurement was based on subjective measures and clinical observations. Results: The patients showed positive changes even after the initial treatment and this effect maintained over the follow-up period. Conclusions: Although it is not clear the effect is a sustaining or temporary in its nature, a positive effect was observed and further clinical and biological research on FCST is expected.

  • 경추부 근긴장 이상증에 대해 턱관절 자세균형 개념에 따라 구강내 균형장치를 활용한 자세훈련법 등의 치료로 긍정적인 호전을 관찰했다. 증례 보고이기는 하지만 턱관절 자세균형을 활용한 치료법에서 긍정적인 치료효과가 이어지고 있어서 앞으로 더욱 체계적인 관찰과 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

  • This paper is devoted to the development and performance evaluation of a hard bearing type balancing machine for rigid rotors. The pedestals of the balancing machine are designed to be rigid to be rigid enough to enable the balancing to operate far below the fundamental critical speed. The force measuring method is implemented to the balancing machine. The forces due to unbalance are measured through load cell that are attached to the pedestals. A helical coupling is used for transmitting the driving force from an AC servo motor to the rotor to be balanced. The experimental results show that the current hard bearing type balancing machine can indicate the presence of unbalance beyond 1 .mu. m in specific unbalance unit. The limitation of the current balancing machine is due to the coupling that is likely to make inconsistent offset errors everytime the rotor is connected to the machine.

  • This paper presents interaction force control between a balancing robot and a human operator. The balancing robot has two wheels to generate movements on the plane. Since the balancing robot is based on position control, the robot tries to maintain a desired angle to be zero when an external force is applied. This leads to the instability of the system. Thus a hybrid force control method is employed to react the external force from the operator to guide the balancing robot to the desired position by a human operator. Therefore, when an operator applies a force to the robot, desired balancing angles should be modified to maintain stable balance. To maintain stable balance under an external force, suitable desired balancing angles are determined along with force magnitudes applied by the operator through experimental studies. Experimental studies confirm the functionality of the proposed method.

  • The distributed OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol), composed of multiple responders, is a model that enhances the utilization of each responder and reduces the response time. In a multi-user distributed environment, load balancing mechanism must be developed for the improvement of the performance of the whole system. Conservative load balancing algorithms often ignore the communication cost of gathering the information of responders. As the number of request is increased, however, fail to consider the communication cost may cause serious problems since the communication time is too large to disregard. We propose an adaptive load balancing algorithm and evaluate the effectiveness by performing modeling and simulation. The principal advantage of new algorithm is in their simplicity: there is no need to maintain and process system state information. We evaluated the quality of load balancing achieved by the new algorithm by comparing the queue size of responders and analyzing the utilization of these responders. The simulation results show how efficiently load balancing is done with the new algorithm.

  • 로보트는 일반적으로 성능에 비해 링크 및 구동기가 심히 과도설계(overdesign) 되어 있다. 로보트의 링크를 평형화(balancing) 시키면 역학이 간단해 질 뿐 아니라 지배적으로 큰 중력항을 제거시킬 수 있다는 점이 최근에 보여졌다. 본 연구에서는 평형화에 의한 중력항의 제거가 과도설계를 피하는 한 방법으로 보고 페이드로에 따라 변하는 평형조건을 적극적으로 만족시켜주는 자동평형장치(auto-balancing mechanism)을 제안하고 그 성능을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션으로 예시하였다.

Research on the Application of Load Balancing in Educational Administration System

  • Load balancing plays a crucial role in ensuring the stable operation of information management systems during periods of high user access requests; therefore, load balancing approaches should be reasonably selected. Moreover, appropriate load balancing techniques could also result in an appropriate allocation of system resources, improved system service, and economic benefits. Nginx is one of the most widely used loadbalancing software packages, and its deployment is representative of load-balancing application research. This study introduces Nginx into an educational administration system, builds a server cluster, and compares and sets the optimal cluster working strategy based on the characteristics of the system, Furthermore, it increases the stability of the system when user access is highly concurrent and uses the Nginx reverse proxy service function to improve the cluster's ability to resist illegal attacks. Finally, through concurrent access verification, the system cluster construction becomes stable and reliable, which significantly improves the performance of the information system service. This research could inform the selection and application of load-balancing software in information system services.

  • This paper presents a method to balance the links of an articulated robot for an unknown payload using an automatic balancing mechanism. The balancing masses are controlled to move in their appropriate locations so that the joint torques of the links are eliminated. After balancing the mass of the payload is obtained from the balancing conditions. Based upon a series of simulation studies some results are discussed.

  • We establish some new combinatorial identities involving Euler polynomials and balancing (Lucas-balancing) polynomials. The derivations use elementary techniques and are based on functional equations for the respective generating functions. From these polynomial relations, we deduce interesting identities with Fibonacci and Lucas numbers, and Euler numbers. The results must be regarded as companion results to some Fibonacci-Bernoulli identities, which we derived in our previous paper.
