Influence of composition variation on structural and pyroelectrical properties of BSCT thick films (조성 변화의 영향에 따른 BSCT 후막의 구조적 특성과 초전 특성)

  • (Ba,Sr,Ca)$TiO_3$ powders, which were prepared by sol-gel method using a solution of Ba-acetate, Sr-acetate and Ca-acetate and Ti iso-propoxide, were mixed with organic vehicle and the BSCT thick films were fabricated by the screen-printing techniques on high purity alumina substrates. The structural and dielectric properties were investigated for various $Dy_2O_3$ doping contents. As a result of thermal analysis, the exothermic peak was observed at around $670^{\circ}C$ due to the formation of the polycrystalline perovskite phase. All BSCT thick films, sintered at $1420^{\circ}C$ for 2h, showed the typical XRD patterns of perovskite polycrystalline structure and no pyrochlore phase was observed.   • Piezoelectric Actuator samples were fabricated using PMN-PT-PZ ceramics with Barium substitution, and the strain properties of them were investigated. The tartest Piezoelectric coefficient and electromechanical coupling coefficient were observed at the sintering temperature $1250^{\circ}C$, Barium 5mol%. In the case of Multilayered specimens, they showed considerable strain and small hysteresis than single round type.

  • The dielectric and electrical properties of $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2\3})O_3-PbTiO_3-BaTiO_3$ have been investigated. Perovskite crystalline phase of the specimens are confirmed by XRD at $1270^{\circ}C$. The curie temperature is around $40^{\circ}C$ with the amount of $BaTiO_3$ and $PbTiO_3$. Every specimens shows the slim loop hysteresis curves which is electrostrictive characteristic. The strain vs. applied voltage characteristics exhibits nonlinear relationship, and the specimen of 0.85PMN-0.125PT-0.025BT shows the largest strain.

  • [ $(Ba_{0.93}Ca_{0.07})_{1.009}(Ti_{0.82}Zr_{0.18})O_{2.}$ ] 이고 첨가제로 $MnO_2$ 0.2wt%, $Y_2O_3$ 0.18wt%, $SiO_2$ 0.15wt% 유리프릿으로 $(Ba_{0.4}Ca_{0.6})SiO_3$ 1 wt%를 첨가한 조성을 이용하여 각 공정별 최적화를 통해 고 신뢰성이면서 고용량 MLCC를 제작하였다 고 신뢰성 MLCC 제작에서 있어 최적의 소성온도를 확인 할 수 있었으며 외부 전극을 통한 도금액 침투를 방지하여 절연저항 특성을 향상할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 1608 크기의 1.13uF의 용량을 가지는 고 신뢰성 MLCC를 제작하였다.

  • A checklist of snake eels (Ophichthidae) from Korea is presented including information, such as synonyms, distribution, occurrence records and key to species of 7 genera and 14 species. Also, we suggest change of the Korean names for the snake eels (Ophichthidae) "Ba-da-baem-gwa" to "Ba-da-baem-jang-eo-gwa", and it's members, because Korean names of snake eels (Ophichthidae) is similar to those of sea snake (Hydridae).

  • Barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV) is transmitted by a root-inhabiting Polymyxa graminis (P. graminis) and thus the disease is called "soil-borne". In this study, the presence of P. graminis was confirmed by PCR test based on specific sequences of P. graminis type I (P. graminis f. sp. temperata) Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS). P. graminis was detected in the BaYMV infected soil and root of barley plants. The monitoring of P. graminis was conducted in March 2015 in 8 korean provinces. It was detected in the soil of all collected regions. This is the first report on a P. graminis a survey of Korea.

  • Rearing media were selected for the production of sterile larvae of greenbottle blowfly, Phaenicia (=Lucilia) sericata (Meigen) which is widely used in maggot therapy. Eight media available in the market were used in this study. Egg hatchability was not different among the media. Survivorship of the larvae was higher in blood agar (BA), sabouraud dextrose agar, and brucella blood agar than the others. A higher content (20${\sim}$40%) of sheep blood in BA and chocolate agar increased the survivorship of larvae. The eggs and the early 3rd larvae could be stored for 12 days at $8^{\circ}C$ and for 15 days at $6^{\circ}C$ without decrease in hatchability and larval survivorship, respectively.

  • To study the optimal synthesis conditions of aqueous acrylic adhesive using emulsion polymerization, the effects of monomer, surfactant and initiator on the adhesive properties, such as conversion rate, particle size, peel strength, and glass transition temperature, were investigated. 2-EHA, n-BA and MMA were used as main monomers, 2-HEMA and AAc as functional monomers, SLS as surfactant and APS as initiator, respectively. The conversion rate was over 95% at 3.75% surfactant(SLS/monomer), 0.612% initiator(APS/monomer) and $82^{\circ}C$ reaction temperature. When the excess amount of surfactant or initiator was used, the peel strength represented decreasing tendency. The maximum conversion rate and peel strength were obtained at 65% 2-EHA/monomer, 20% BA/monomer, and 10% MMA/monomer.

Dielectric Properties of Continuous Composition Spreaded $BaTiO_3-SrTiO_3$ Thin Films Prepared by Off-Axis RF Magnetron Sputtering System

  • The dielectric properties of continuous composition spreaded (CCS) $BaTiO_3-SrTiO_3$ (BST) thin filmsgrown at room temperature and annealed at different temperature ($350^{\circ}C$ and $550^{\circ}C$) were investigated. Moreover, electrical properties (leakage current and breakdown voltage) of CCS BST thin films were also investigated. The aluminum top-electrode, sized by $200{\times}200\;{\mu}m2$ and apart from each other by $300\;{\mu}m$, were deposited on the CCS BST thin films by the DC sputtering system. The dielectric properties of the CCS BST thin films were significantly influenced depending on the distance from $BaTiO_3$ and $SrTiO_3$ targets which was attributed to the $BaTiO_3-SrTiO_3$ composition ratio. The maps of dielectric constants and loss tangents were plotted via $1500\;{\mu}m$ - step measuring. The specific points showing the dielectric constant (k: ~300) and loss tangent (tand: ~0.008) at 1 MHz were found.
