Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate impact of smart city awareness on citizen satisfaction and to measure various factors influencing smart city competitiveness that were rarely addressed in previous studies. For the impacts on the competitiveness of smart cities, this study explored the effects of data-driven service, economic impact, social trust through sharing, environmental protection, and sustainable growth. Research design, data and methodology: To collect data, this study employed an online survey conducted by a reputable research organization. Data analysis involved the use of factor analysis, ANOVA, and regression analysis. Results: This study identified key aspects important for enhancing citizen satisfaction. Furthermore, this research unveiled the significant impacts of data-driven service, economic impact, social trust through sharing, environmental protection, and sustainable growth on the competitiveness of smart cities. Conclusions: The results yield valuable managerial and policy implications. The study suggests that enhancing citizen satisfaction through improved awareness of the smart city is crucial for effective city marketing management. Additionally, the results highlight special aspects necessary to improve smart city competitiveness, including the implementation of promotional policies supported by the government, promoting global competitiveness for domestic companies, and fostering citizen participation for effective city marketing management.

EPCIS(EPC Information Services) system is a core component of EPCglobal Architecture Framework offering information of the freights, the time of awareness and the location of awareness on the EPCglobal Network. The role of EPCIS is to exchange information based on EPC. There are four kinds of event data which are object event data, aggregation event data, quantity event data, and transaction event data. These EPCIS events data are stored and managed in EPCIS repository. This paper leads to separate a in-out data overload of integrated EPCIS event and suggests the method to effectively manage EPCIS repository for exchanging data smoothly. In order to verify a effectiveness, we measure the performance of the system using a simple testing simulation by comparing existing method and suggested method.

This study examines the importance of learning language and cultural integration in general English class focused on TOEIC reading comprehension. The understanding of cultural learning and learners' cultural awareness has long been a subject of debate. This study was not only to analyze the improvement of students' interest and reading comprehension ability of TOEIC through cultural learning, but also to ensure students who learn American culture overcome cross-cultural miscommunication and improve their English reading comprehension skills. Pre-post surveys and the pre-post TOEIC tests were used to measure language proficiency and American cultural knowledge to two groups: the experimental and control group. The results from the study were as follows: First, students had better TOEIC scores with improved motivation after understanding American culture relevant to the lessons. Second, reading comprehension skills with regards to TOEIC also improved, compared with the students who were not exposed to American culture due to lack of opportunity.

Globalization of market has put considerable research activities in cosmopolitism and nationalism. In addition, consumer's perception of product's country of origin is widely regarded as an important influence on their shopping behavior. The objective of this paper is to investigate the joint effect of cosmopolitanism and nationalism on shopping orientation and awareness of the country of origin of fashion products among Korean young consumers. Data from 471 young Korean consumers were analyzed. According to the cosmopolitanism/nationalism measure, respondents were segmented into three groups: global, local and glocal group. Results indicated that global and glocal consumers value symbolic and non-conforming aspects of fashion product shopping and were more interested in country of origin of products than local consumers. Global consumers showed higher level of foreign product preference than local and glocal consumers. Some managerial implication for marketing practitioners was suggested.

A Recently elevator accidents were occurred and increased due to carelessness of user and violent behavior. The accident of door detachment in elevator platform by electronic motor scooter show a example of safety concerns and insensibility for safety awareness. In this report, we review the cause of accident of door detachment in elevator platform by electronic motor scooter, and show some suggestions of preventing from the safety concerns about this case.

In this paper, it was suggested method to recognize the motion of a person(lying, sitting, walking, running) using fuzzy inference and wireless biologic signal processing system. These are to Perceive the motion of the person. Furthermore, the information of motion is indispensable parameter for Context Awareness (CA). In the present study, ADXL 202JE accelerometer sensor was used to measure for checking the continuance motion, biological quantify of motion, and motion pattern of a Person. The measured data was transmitted to CA server by Radio Frequency(RF). From the present result, we confirmed that it is difficult to decide the motion of walking and running with only the magnitude of the Longitudinal Accelerometer Average Value(LAAV) and moreover the covariance of LAAV in any block is very useful for CA of walking and running.

This paper focuses on gender studies with respect to language education for KFL(Korean as a foreign language) students. It also attempts to view the role of gender as exerting influence on language learning and teaching, and surveys KFL teachers' awareness of the role of gender in Korean language education. It is conceivable that teachers who are aware of differences between female and male will be able to take these into account in their teaching; in doing so they will be more effective in their teaching than if they were to teach in ignorance of these differences. The survey for the teachers' awareness of gender difference was conducted through teachers' discussion as the follow-up measure of the questionnaire. A few teachers do not have a clear idea about the importance of gender differences in language teaching, but the majority have cognizance of the matter. For this research, a questionnaire was administered to 71 subjects, consisting 37 intermediate KFL students and 34 advanced KFL students. The result of the questionnaire reveals that 50.4% subjects use their words and intonation without recognizing the gender difference, on the other hand, 49.6% subjects recognize the gender differences in Korean language use. The result should be adopted as a sociolinguistic factor for the contents of second language education.

This study was to measure the awareness of the patient safety culture of medical workers in various occupations working in hospitals and tried to be used as useful data. As a result of evaluating department (ward), hospital, immediate supervisor/manager, communication & procedures and frequency of accident reports, the patient safety accidents considered to be the most dangerous, technicians showed high results in the department(ward), nurses showed high results in the immediate supervisor/manager area. Radiological technologists and physical therapists recognized falls and clinical pathologists and nurses recognized before during after the test as the most dangerous patient safety accidents. To raise awareness of patient safety culture, executives and practitioners should create an atmosphere in which practitioners can prioritize patient safety, gain and manage appropriate personnel, manage cooperative systems between workers or departments.

This study is a descriptive research to measure the awareness and attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining medical treatment (WLSMT) among medical and nursing students. The data collection was conducted between 8 October and 15 November 2018, and the responses of 240 students were analyzed. The analysis results are as follows. More than 95 percent of medical and nursing students said the WLSMT was necessary. The medical students answered that 'patient's will' is important and nursing student answered that 'patient and family's will' is important. The nursing student showed that "family will and decision" was more important than the medical student in deciding to discontinue life care. Based on the results of the study, continuous discussion on the development and application of education programs to form attitudes and awareness of the discontinuation of life-saving treatments based on correct values is needed for prospective medical students and nursing students.
