A Method on Automatically Creating an Ontology by Extracting Various Relationships between Terms (용어 간의 다양한 관계 추출을 통해 온톨로지를 자동으로 생성하는 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a method of automatically creating an ontology by extracting various relationships between terms necessary for constructing an ontology of a specific domain. The extracted relationship is constructed as an ontology by encoding it into an axiomatic set in the structure of the ontology. To solve efficiently, we represent the search space of the set as an integer programming problem, and we reduce the matrix by using a simple reduction that eliminates rules that are not very helpful for optimization. In conclusion, this paper proposes a way to generalize patterns using given data, reduce search space while maintaining useful patterns, and automatically generate efficient ontology using extracted relationships by applying algorithms composed of structured ontology.

  • Current straw mushroom farming in countries with large rice growing areas has great development potential, and was once considered a way to generate additional income and reduce poverty in rural areas. However, currently most people still grow mushrooms using traditional processes, leading to low productivity and unguaranteed output quality. Currently, due to climate change and unusual weather changes, people tend to switch to growing straw mushrooms indoors. In the process of growing straw mushrooms indoors, the design of an automatic control and monitoring system is very important to ensure the growing process is carried out effectively and achieves high yields. In this paper, we propose a system that can automatically control and monitor the humidity and temperature of the indoor straw mushroom growing process and other parameters that can be monitored through a network system using Internet of Things. The control algorithm automatically adjusts the grow house equipment based on feedback from sensors to maintain an optimal environment for growing straw mushrooms. Experimental results show that the straw mushroom growing system with automatically controlled and monitored environmental parameters helps improve efficiency, reduce costs and increase the sustainability of the current straw mushroom growing industry.

  • K-BEMS System was introduced to reduce peak load and to save total energy of the 200 buildings that KEPCO headquarter and branch offices use. And K-BEMS system is composed of PV, battery, and hybrid PCS. KEPCO research institute has carried out this K-BEMS research project for 3 years since January 2016. In this paper, the results of the project are shown. 9 modes of test results of K-BEMS system and are operational problems were analyzed. And measures to cure the trouble are also suggested. Batteries are operated more than 20% of SOC, and less than 20% of SOC battery protection switches are automatically shutting down the system and the system no longer respond to EMS, ending the supply of PV, and so therefore to continue the PV power supply it was turn out to be necessary that the EMS should automatically change its policy to change PV only supply mode automatically when the Battery Switch automatically operated. To operate the system continuously and automatically, it is necessary to modify the minimum operational SOC value, and in addition to that the EMS computer must remember the last shut-down SOC and Voltage which interrupted the system and add some margin to reflect the measurement error in the system.

Automatic Discriminating of Monosyllable in Korean Characters (한글정보처리에서 다음절의 자동식별)

  • A system that can discriminate monosyliables automatically from sequential input of Korean character's data without space codes is proposed. Korean characters are synthesized by two to seven elements out of twenty four basic elements. Three thousands Korean characters are formalized into thirty character forms discriminates monosyllable automatically by detecting seven form features and character length. In this result, this system, compared with the input method with space codes which have been used to separate each syllable, can save about 25% of the memory capacity of computer and improves about 30% of the processing speed of Korean characters.

  • Nowadays in order to perform assembly process planning by using CAPP (Computer Aided Process Planning), researches to generate the assembly sequence automatically have come under constant interest by many researchers and they are devoted to optimize the assembly sequence. In this paper, the product on analyzing the relationship between assembled parts via contacting information such as common area, automatically based on the liaison graph of the product. To verify the validness and efficiency of the approach, the simple product is tested in the experimental way.

  • In this paper, we suggest how to adapt RFID system to train switching process, and then what we get the merit or problem. We analyze the train switching process to adapt RFID system on the process and have field test. The role of RFID system in train switching process is to automatically read car position information. The specification of the test system is 900MHz, and Gen2 passive tag. If we get the system which automatically read car position information in train switching yard, it prevents human errors and makes more reliability, the performance of train operation will grow up. Even though the environment of train switching yard is outdoors, the test result gives us the ability to adapt RFID system to train switching process and the process will be more simple.

  • Modular robot manipulator is a robotic system assembled from discrete joints and links into one of many possible manipulator configurations. This paper describes the design method of newly developed modular robot manipulator and the methodology of a task based reconfiguration of it. New locking mechanism is proposed and it provides quick coupling and decoupling. A parallel connection method is devised and it makes modular robot manipulator working well and the number of components on each module reduced. To automatically determine a sufficient or optimal arrangement of the modules for a given task, we also devise an algorithm that automatically generates forward and inverse manipulator kinematics, and we propose an algorithm which maps task specifications to the optimized manipulator configurations. Efficient genetic algorithms are generated and used to search for a optimal manipulator from task specifications. A few of design examples are shown.

  • This paper for the method that automatically extracts moving object of the video image is presented. In order to extract moving object, it is that velocity vectors correspond to each frame of the video image. Using the estimated velocity vector, the position of the object are determined. the value of the coordination of the object is initialized to the seed, and in the image plane, the moving object is automatically segmented by the region growing method and tracked by the range of intensity and information about Position. As the result of an application in sequential images, it is available to extract a moving object.

  • In this paper, we describe the one channel five-way, V/U/M/N/S (Voice/Unvoice/Nasal/Silent), classification algorithm for automatically classifying speech. The decision making process is viewed as a pattern viewed as a pattern recognition problem. Two aspects of the algorithm are developed: feature selection and classifier type. The feature selection procedure is studied for identifying a set of features to make V/U/M/N/S classification. The classifiers used are a vector quantization (VQ), a neural network(NN), and a decision tree method. Actual five sentences spoken by six speakers, three male and three female, are tested with proposed classifiers. From a set of measurement tests, the proposed classifiers show fairly good accuracy for V/U/M/N/S decision.

  • In oriental medicine, it is rare to recommend the same herbal medicine to other patients because it is very effective in using a certain medicine for a patient with a certain disease. Because the same prescription works well for some people, but very bad results for some people. In order to solve this problem, we developed an algorithm that automatically recommends medicinal products when the patient biometric and Sasang constitution information are selected in the web program. Moreover, in this paper, it developed SWproducts to automatically determine the patients' constitution.
