  • In this paper the design of the model following control system is proposed using the PID control structure. The games of the PID controller in the proposed control system are automatically adjusted by back-propagation algorithm of the neural network. And applying to the position control system, it's performance is verified through the results of computer experiment.

  • A position control algorithm for a inverted pendulum is studied. The proposed algorithm is based on a fuzzy theory and Generalized Radial Basis Function(GRBF). The conventional fuzzy methods need expert's knowledges or human experiences. The GRBF, which is an optimization algorithm, tunes automatically the input-output membership parameters and fuzzy rules. The simulation is presented to illustrate the approaches.

  • The MAFSAP(Monitoring and Forecasting System of Air Pollution) was developed to measure the weather and air pollution data automatically, then make them input to microcomputer and analyze them for monitoring and forecasting air pollution at all times. And the air pollution telemetering systems installed at Young-Dong Thermal Power Plant was analyzed and an ideal telemetering system utilizing MAFSAP was suggested.

  • The intercommissural(AC-PC) line is automatically detected for HR and PET images. With the detected AC-PC lines from MR and PET images, fully non-iterative automatic co- registration is accomplished. It provides a new automated method for image co-registration.

  • In this paper, a method for providing musics in vehicle user's bio-rhythm is proposed. The proposed method is a method to select and play musics automatically suitable for the user's emotion. Experimental results confirmed that the proposed method could provide better satisfaction to the users (drivers) compared to the methods given randomly.

  • In this study, a process management system is designed that can automatically control the heat treating atmosphere, and a managment software is developed to monitor and control continously the heat treating process using a n interface device. Especially, a communication protocol is developed to control and monitor atmosphere condition, temperature, surrounding gas, and time. The developed interface device, called COMPORT SELECTOR is to send and receive information from PID controllers and PLC via RS-232C communication. This system will reduce manufacturing cost and cycle time, and improve the effectiveness of working process and quality.

  • Firewall is not perfectly prevent hacker, Intrusion Detection System(IDS) is considered a next generation security solution for more trusted network i and system security. We propose a agent IDS model in the different platforms that can detect intrusions in the expanded distributed host environment, since that is a drawback of existing IDS. Then we implement a prototype and verify validity. We use a pattern extraction agent so that we extract audit files needed in intrusion detection automatically even in other platforms.

  • In this study, We developed the microprocessor based controller for Auto Section Switch(ASS). This is installed at consumer's medium-high voltage(load capacity is below 4,000 kVA) switchgear. This function is cooperate with protection device of fault section and automatically dividing the section. And It is designed by Air putter type extinction structure and adopt the mechanism and breaking part module of existing Load Breaker Switch. In addition, We successfully conducted the operation test and checked main function of proto-type.

  • Dust-storm is one of the heaviest hazardous weather which frequently affects most part of northern China in spring. Satellite multi-spectral observations can provide significant information for detecting and quantitative determining the property of dust-storm . An algorithm to monitor dust-storm automatically was developed based on satellite observation. The algorithm utilizes split widows technique and spectral classification technique and also developed a new dust remote sensing product Infra -red Difference Dust Index (IDDI) proxy dust-loading dataset using GMS-5.

  • As remote sensing is weighty in GIS updating, it is indispensable to get spatial information quickly and exactly. In this study, we have designed and implemented the program by two algorithms of GDPA (Gradient Direction Profile Analysis) and Hough transformation to extract linear features automatically from high-resolution imagery. We applied the software to embody both algorithms to KOMPSAT-EOC, IKONOS, and Landsat-ETM and made a comparative study of results.
