정규분포 공정 가정하에서의 공정능력지수 $C_{pmk}$ 에 관한 효율적인 신뢰한계 (Better Confidence Limits for Process Capability Index $C_{pmk}$ under the assumption of Normal Process)

  • Process capability index is used to determine whether a production process is capable of producing items within a specified tolerance. The index $C_{pmk}$ is the third generation process capability index. This index is more powerful than two useful indices $C_p$ and $C_{pk}$. Whether a process distribution is clearly normal or nonnormal, there may be some questions as to which any process index is valid or should even be calculated. As far as we know, yet there is no result for statistical inference with process capability index $C_{pmk}$. However, asymptotic method and bootstrap could be studied for good statistical inference. In this paper, we propose various bootstrap confidence limits for our process capability Index $C_{pmk}$. First, we derive bootstrap asymptotic distribution of plug-in estimator $C_{pmk}$ of our capability index $C_{pmk}$. And then we construct various bootstrap confidence limits of our capability index $C_{pmk}$ for more useful process capability analysis.

  • 기동하는 잠수함이나 함정 등의 방사 소음 특성은 토날 신호와 광대역 배경잡음으로 구분된다. 토날 신호는 함정의 모터나 엔진의 회전등으로 인한 것이고, 배경잡음은 기동 시 일어나는 함정 주변의 기포들의 발생과 소멸로 인한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 ATW 알고리즘을 이용하여 수중 기동함정의 방사소음을 분석한다. 또한 분석한 소음을 바탕으로 힐버트 변환을 이용하여 광대역 유사 잡음을 발생시킬 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 분석한 토날 신호를 합성함으로써 유사 방사 잡음 발생 시스템을 설계한다. 이 시스템은 현장 기동함정과 유사한 소음을 발생시키게 함으로써 적으로부터 아군의 함정이 노출되었을 때 기만기로 사용함으로써 적의 어뢰 등의 공격을 피할 수 있는 시스템으로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

Accuracy evaluation of 3D time-domain Green function in infinite depth

  • An accurate evaluation of three-dimensional (3D) Time-Domain Green Function (TDGF) in infinite water depth is essential for ship's hydrodynamic analysis. Various numerical algorithms based on the TDGF properties are considered, including the ascending series expansion at small time parameter, the asymptotic expansion at large time parameter and the Taylor series expansion combines with ordinary differential equation for the time domain analysis. An efficient method (referred as "Present Method") for a better accuracy evaluation of TDGF has been proposed. The numerical results generated from precise integration method and analytical solution of Shan et al. (2019) revealed that the "Present method" provides a better solution in the computational domain. The comparison of the heave hydrodynamic coefficients in solving the radiation problem of a hemisphere at zero speed between the "Present method" and the analytical solutions proposed by Hulme (1982) showed that the difference of result is small, less than 3%.

공정능력지수 Ĉp, Ĉpk와 Ĉpm를 위한 점근적 상관성에 관한 연구 (On the asymptotic correlationship for some process capability indices Ĉp, Ĉpk and Ĉpm)

  • 공정능력을 측정하고 분석하기 위하여 공정능력지수가 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 흔히 품질수준은 공정능력지수들에 의해 측정된다. 세 가지 공정능력지수 $C_p$, $C_{pk}$, $C_{pm}$들은 품질 현장에서 프로세스 성과를 평가하는 데 널리 유용하게 사용되는 바, 이들 추정량들의 상관관계를 보다 명확하게 규명, 연구하여 적절히 활용할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 공정표본이 정규분포에 따를 때 이러한 지수들의 추정량들에 대한 점근적 상관성을 연구하였다. 제2절에서는 공정능력지수 $C_p$, $C_{pk}$, $C_{pm}$들을 정의하여 기본적인 관계를 설명하였고, 제3절에서는 단일변량 정규공정하에서의 점근적인 상관계수를 구체적으로 계산, 규명하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 이용하여 보다 정확한 공정능력지수들의 상관관계를 통해 필요한 분석을 수행하는 것이 바람직할 것이다.

수압파쇄균열의 점근적 해석과 경계병치법의 적용성 (Asymptotic Analysis for Hydraulic Fractures and Applicability of Boundary Collocation Method)

  • 수압파쇄시 다중으로 분할된 균열의 생성은 자주 발생되는 현상이며 이러한 균열군은 단균열과는 달리 상당히 다른 거동을 나타낸다. 그러나 대부분의 수치기법으로는 이러한 균열군 거동의 모사는 계산량의 증가로 결코 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 수압파쇄시 생성되는 다수의 균열 변위를 경계병치법을 사용하여 효과적으로 계산하기 위한 방법을 제시하였다. 우선 평행하면서 아주 가깝게 위치한 다중 분할 균열의 점근적 해를 구하고 경계병치법의 균열에 사용된 병치점의 수를 변화시켜 점근적 해와 비교하였다. 그 결과 기존의 기준에 비해 병치점의 수를 10배정도 줄이더라도 얻어지는 결과에는 별 차이가 없음을 밝혀냈다. 따라서 이보다 더욱 복잡한 균열이 존재하는 실제의 경우 병치점의 수를 줄여 적용하여도 경계병치법에 의한 계산은 유효하다는 결론을 얻었다.

Nonlinear static analysis of composite cylinders with metamaterial core layer, adjustable Poisson's ratio, and non-uniform thickness

  • In this article, an analytical procedure is presented for static analysis of composite cylinders with the geometrically nonlinear behavior, and non-uniform thickness profiles under different loading conditions by considering moderately large deformation. The composite cylinder includes two inner and outer isotropic layers and one honeycomb core layer with adjustable Poisson's ratio. The Mirsky-Herman theory in conjunction with the von-Karman nonlinear theory is employed to extract the governing equations which are a system of nonlinear differential equations with variable coefficients. The governing equations are solved analytically using the matched asymptotic expansion (MAE) method of the perturbation technique and the effects of moderately large deformations are studied. The presented method obtains the results with fast convergence and high accuracy even in the regions near the boundaries. Highlights: • An analytical procedure based on the matched asymptotic expansion method is proposed for the static nonlinear analysis of composite cylindrical shells with a honeycomb core layer and non-uniform thickness. • The effect of moderately large deformation has been considered in the kinematic relations by assuming the nonlinear von Karman theory. • By conducting a parametric study, the effect of the honeycomb structure on the results is studied. • By adjusting the Poisson ratio, the effect of auxetic behavior on the nonlinear results is investigated.

응착 완전 접촉 문제에서 접촉면 미끄럼 현상에 관한 고찰 (On the Slipping Phenomenon in Adhesive Complete Contact Problem)

  • This paper is within the framework of an adhered complete contact problem wherein the contact between a half plane and sharp edged indenter, both of which are elastic in character, is constituted. The eigensolutions of the contact shear and normal stresses, σrq and σq, respectively, are evaluated via asymptotic analysis. The ratio of σrqqq is investigated and compared with the coefficient of friction, μ, of the contact surface to observe the propensity to slip on the contact surface. Interestingly, there exists a region of |σθθ| ≥ |μ|. Thus, slipping can occur, although the problem is solved under the condition of an adhered contact without slipping. Given that a tribological failure potentially occurs at the slipping region, it is important to determine the size of the slipping region. This aspect is also factored in the paper. A simple example of the adhered contact between two elastically dissimilar squares is considered. Finite element analysis is used to evaluate generalized stress intensity factors. Furthermore, it is repeatedly observed that slipping occurs on the contact surface although the size of it is extremely small compared with that of the contacting squares. Therefore, as a contribution to the field of contact mechanics, this problem must be further explained logically.

  • A matched asymptotic analysis is conducted for a compressible rotating flow in a cylindrical container when a mechanical and/or a thermal disturbance is imposed on the wall. The system Ekman number is assumed to be very small. The conditions for the Taylor-Proudman column in the interior, which were also given in the companion paper Park & Hyun, 2002) by means of the energy balancing analysis, have been re-derived. The concept of the variable, the energy content $e[{\equiv}T+2 {\alpha}^2 {\gamma}{\nu}]$, is reformulated, and its effectiveness in characterizing the energy transport mechanism is delineated. It is seen that, under the condition of the Taylor-Proudman column, numerous admissible theoretical solutions for interior flow exist with an associated wail boundary condition. Some canonical examples are illustrated with comprehensive physical descriptions. The differential heating problem on the top and bottom endwall disks is revisited by using the concept of the energy content. The results are shown to be in line with the previous findings.

  • In this paper, the performance of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) dual-hop (DH) amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying networks is investigated, where Nakagami-m fading channel is considered. In order to cover more details, in our analysis, the transceiver hardware impairments at source, relay and destination nodes are comprehensively considered. To characterize the effects of hardware impairments brought in NOMA DH AF relaying networks, the analytical closed-form expressions for the exact outage probability and approximate ergodic sum rate are derived. In addition, the asymptotic analysis of the outage probability and ergodic sum rate at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime are carried out in order to further reveal the insights of the parameters for hardware impairments on the network performance. Simulation results indicate the performance of asymptotic ergodic sum rate are limited by levels of distortion noise.

Generalized Logistic 분포형을 이용한 지역빈도해석의 불확실성 추정 (Uncertainty Assessment of Regional Frequency Analysis for Generalized Logistic Distribution)

  • 본 연구에서는 홍수지수법의 불확실성을 평가하기 위해 우리나라 강우자료의 지역빈도해석에 적합한 것으로 제안된 generalized logistic 분포형의 quantile에 대한 점근 분산식을 이용하여 성장곡선에 대한 신뢰구간을 산정하였다. 또한 지점 빈도해석과 지역빈도해석에 의한 quantile의 분산을 이용하여 빈도해석의 효율성 지표(efficiency index)를 계산하였다. 우리나라 378개 강우 관측 지점을 바탕으로 구분한 14개 동질 지역에 대해 효율성 지표를 계산한 결과 홍수지수법이 지점빈도 해석보다 불확실성이 더 작은 quantile을 추정하는 것으로 나타났다. 한 지역에 포함되는 지점 개수가 과다하지 않도록 조정하는 것이 지역빈도해석의 효율성 측면에서 나은 것으로 나타났다.
