The purpose of this study is to have a preliminary study in order to develop a test which can comprehensively measure anxiety of elementary schoolchildren in middle grade. Following things are conducted to meet this task; first, to look into compositions of the anxiety of elementary schoolchildren in middle grade, to prepare proper questions to measure it and to develop a test; second, to look into whether such questions are fully understood by schoolchildren; third, to look into whether reliability and adequacy thereof are proper or not. Conclusion of the study is as follows; anxiety test of elementary schoolchildren in middle grade showed all the things related to general anxiety, social anxiety, study anxiety, examination anxiety, announcement anxiety. However, there were differences as per subordinate factor and detailed area. And reliability and adequacy of anxiety test for elementary schoolchildren in middle grade were appropriate. and such data could be valuably used for preparing anxiety test. To summarize the study result above, the test developed in this study supplements weak point of existing test instrument and reveals anxiety experienced by elementary schoolchildren in middle grade, and harmoniously composes all the kinds. It is meaningful that the test lowered applicable object to schoolchildren in middle grade who are in anxiety formation stage and also feel anxiety most strongly. In addition, it may be used usefully for living guidance and consultation to efficiently cope with anxiety by measuring base line regarding anxiety of individual schoolchildren in middle grade.
The soft ground in the southwest coastal area composed of marine clay is greatly influenced by sediment composition, particle size distribution, particle shape, adsorption ions and pore water characteristics, tide and temperature. In addition, the geotechnical properties are very complex due to stress history, change in pore water, dissolution process and gas formation. In this study, the physical and mechanical properties of the soft ground were evaluated through field tests and laboratory tests to investigate the strength increase characteristics according to consolidation on the soft ground in the southwest coast. In addition, in order to understand the consolidation behavior of soft ground such as subsidence, pore water pressure, horizontal displacement of soil by embankment load, measuring instruments such as pore water pressuremeter, settlement gauge, inclinometer and differential settlement gauge was installed, and a piezocon penetration test was carried out step by step to confirm the increase in shear strength of the ground. Through this, it was confirmed that the shear strength of the ground is increased according to the stages of filling. In addition, by evaluating the properties of consolidation behavior, strength increase and consolidation prediction by empirical methods and theories were compared to analyze the characteristics of strength increase rate and consolidation behavior in consideration of regional characteristics.
The purpose of this study was to determine effects of the Ga-As (Gallium-Arsenide) Dens-Bio laser on mechanically injured sciatic nerves of rats. The improvement of the injured rat sciatic nerve was evaluated by measuring of nerve conduction velocity and amplitude of compound muscle action potential. The sciatic nerves of forty male Sprague-Dawley rats were compressed with hemostatic forceps for 30 seconds. The experimental group was divided into 4 subgroups according to the duration of treatment. Lower power infrared laser irradiation was done transcutaneously to the injured sciatic nerve area, 3 minutes daily to each of four treatment groups for 1, 3, 5, and 7 weeks, respectively. Compound muscle action potential and nerve conduction velocity of sciatic nerve were obtained before nerve injury and at 1, 3, 5, and 7 weeks after injury. There were significant difference of the nerve conduction velocity and amplitudes of compound muscle action potential between the treatment group and non-treatment group at 1, 3, and 5 weeks after laser treatment. However, there were no differences found between the electrophysiologic parameters that were measured after 7 weeks in two groups. There was significant correlation between the increment of compound muscle action potential and nerve conduction velocity after time course according to laser treatment. In conclusion, the low power laser treatment had improved the sciatic nerve function, and therefore these results may provide the basic data to clarify the neurological recovery and treatment after incomplete peripheral nerve injury.
To compare the characteristics between native bee honey (NBH) and foreign bee honey (FBH), NBH harvested from eight different areas of Kangwon, Korea and FBH harvested from Chuncheon, Kangwon, Korea and from other nations were investigated by measuring the contents of moisture, sugar, 5-hydroxymethyl furfural (HMF), and pollen. Our results showed that contents of moisture in NBH and FBH were $16.4{\sim}23.0%$ and $15.8{\sim}21.0%$, respectively. Sugar contained in bee honey such as fructose, glucose, sucrose, maltose, and isomaltose were also analyzed. No difference were found between NBH and FBH in pH. The contents of HMF in NBH and FBH were $0.0{\sim}19.2\;mg/kg$ and $0.0{\sim}85.8\;mg/kg$, and was found that NBH is much lower than that in FBH. And production of HMF were accelerated by conditions of storage. Distributions of pollen in NBH were $0.4{\sim}88.3{\times}10^4/g$, which were significantly different from $0.0{\sim}0.4{\times}10^4/g$ obtained from FBH. According to those results, the methods used in this study are not suitable for identification of difference between NBH and FBH.
Steel structures exposed to extremely corrosive environment like marine environments and industrial area are generally manufactured by applying various protection treatment to increase their lifetime. Metal spraying is one of the protection methods to overcome some drawbacks of the widely employed technologies. Therefore, lots of research needs to be done to improve the corrosion resistance of steel structures. In this study, the corrosion resistance of steel structures was evaluated with the variation in the type and thickness of metal spray by measuring the corrosion potential and current density. As a raw material for spraying, Zn, Al and their mixture were employed to obtain coating thickness of $30{\sim}100{\mu}m$. Our data indicated that the pure zinc coating with $100{\mu}m$ showed the lowest corrosion potential. In the case of pure Al and Zn 85%-Al 15%, the corrosion potential and current density was decreased compared to pure zinc. It was found that the corrosion potential was decreased with the increase of coating thickness irrespective of the type of the coating.

The geographical approaches to tourism resouces can be subdicided into 3 categories according to the subject. First, the classification of tourism resource types and the approach on the spatial distribution may be enumerated. This subject has been the object of the most interest and discussion to the geographers for tourism up to now. And from the viewpoint of contents, it has been developed by classifying the types of tourism resoures, which is based on the establishment of the range and standard of tourism resources and the spatial classification of types based on the distribution feature of the area. Second, the approach about cognition, preference and interpretation on the tourism resources as the background to induce tourism phenomenon and decide the tourism destination. Judging from the fact that most of this subject is starting from the behavioural study and that the right understanding and interpretation of tourism resource is the important factor to decide the preference degree of tourists, we have to have much interest about the field of tourism geoaraphy. Third, the development of tourism resources which is showing the active study recently and its influence and effect attendant upon it may be enumerated. Today, as the economic value of tourism is become important internationally, tourism resources are recognized as the important factor to induce the industrialization of tourism. And in the series of analytical studies related to it the interest has been transferred from the economic benefit analysis attendant upon tourism development including tourism resource and to the cultural, educational, environmental and psychological influence, etc. As the result of composite examination, for the geographical studies about tourism resources, the spatial scale and the contents are being subdivided and specialized. And in the side of subject and method of study, it is developing into the positive study based on the concrete data and the measuring and analytical frame.

There have been many emotion researches to investigate physiological responses on specific emotions with physiological parameters such as heart rate, blood volume flow, and skin conductance. Very few researches, however, exists by detecting them with facial skin temperature. The purpose of present study was to observe the differences of facial skin temperature by using thermal camera, when participants stimulated by monitor scenes which could evoke fear or joy. There were totally 98 of participants; undergraduate students who were in their adult age and middle, high school students who were in their adolescence. We measured their facial temperature, before and after presenting emotional stimulus to see changes between both times. Temperature values were extracted in these regions; forehead, inner corners of the eyes, bridge of the nose, end of the nose, and cheeks. Temperature values in bridge and end of the nose were significantly decreased in fear emotion stimulated. There was also significant temperature increase in the area of forehead and the inner corners of the eyes, while the temperature value in end of the nose decreased. It showed decrease in both stimulated fear and joy. These results might be described as follows: When arousal level going up, sympathetic nervous activity increases, and in turn it makes blood flow in peripheral vessels under the nose decrease. Facial temperature changes by fear or joy in this study were the same as the previous studies which measured temperature of finger tip, when participants experiencing emotions. Our results may help to develop emotion-measuring techniques and establish computer system bases which are to detect human emotions.
Physical activity has positive effects on cognitive functions by aging. However, it is rare to find research that have scientifically investigated the effects on the affective-cognitive function. Thus, this study aims to brain-scientifically research its effects of physical activity on the affective-cognitive function of adults in adolescence and senescence. As subjects of this study, a total of 60 males adults in D region were selected, and then equally divided into four groups of young exercise group(25~35y/o), young non-exercise group(26~35y/o), old exercise group(60~70y/o), and old non-exercise group(60~70y/o). As experiment tools, the EEG measuring equipment and International Affective Picture System(IAPS) were used. The experiment of this study used an affective-cognitive task where subjects pressed a button depending on emotional valence(positive, neutral, negative) shown in the pictures. During the task, EEG measured eight areas(Fp1, Fp2, Fz, C3, C4, Cz, T3, T4) out of brain areas in accordance with the international 10-20 electrode system, EEG was measured. For statistical analysis, a three-way ANOVA on $4(group){\times}3(stimulus){\times}8(area)$ was conducted. The results showed main effects of group in both reaction time and accuracy, and also in the latency of P3. And there was an interaction between group and stimulus the amplitude of P3. In conclusion, Physical activity has positive effects on the affective-cognitive function of people in adolescence and senescence.

The application of titanium has been gradually rising because the utilizing ranges for low weight and high strength are rapidly increased by the need for improving the fuel economy in production industries such as the aviation and automotive in recent. The purpose in this study is to investigate the appropriate cutting conditions on the life of flat and round end mills by measuring the maximum cutting temperature relative to the machining time, and calculating the wear rates of cutting tool with the spindle speed and feed rate of vertical machining center as a parameter in the titanium roughing cut machining which is widely used in critical parts of aircraft, cars, etc. When the wetted roughing cut machining of titanium with a soluble cutting oil is conducted by the flat and round end mills, the maximum cutting temperatures for a variety of spindle speed and feed rate are measured at ten-minute intervals during 60 minutes by an infrared thermometer, and the wear rates of cutting tool are calculated by the weight ratios based on tool wear before and after the experiment. It is found that the maximum cutting temperature and the wear rates of cutting tool are raised as the cutting amount per tool edge is increased with the rise of feed rate, in this experimental range, and as the frictional area due to the rise of contacting friction numbers between tool and specimen is increased with the rises of cutting time and spindle speed. In addition, the increasing rate of maximum cutting temperature in the flat and round end mills are the highest for the cutting time from 50 to 60 minutes, and the wear rate of cutting tool in the flat end mill is 1.14 to 1.55 times higher than that in the round end mill for all experimental conditions.
