The present article is aimed at an investigation of stresses produced in a microstretch elastic half-space due to a moving load. The expressions of normal stress, shear stress and tangential couple stress produced in this case have been obtained in closed form. To find the displacement fields the perturbation method is applied. Significant effect of moving load on variation of stresses developed at different depths below the surface due to the depth of substrate and frictional coefficient of the rough surface of the medium has been observed. The effects of different shapes of irregularity and depth of irregularity on normal, shear and tangential couple stresses have been discussed. Some particular cases have also been deduced from the present investigation. Finally, the analytical developments have been illustrated numerically for aluminium-epoxy-like material substrate under the action of moving load.

Recurrent Neural Network technology that learns past patterns and predicts future patterns using technology for recognizing and classifying objects is being applied to various industries, economies, and languages. And research for practical use is making a lot of progress. However, research on the application of Recurrent Neural Networks for evaluating and predicting the safety of mechanical structures is insufficient. Accurate detection of external load applied to the outside is required to evaluate the safety of mechanical structures. Learning of Recurrent Neural Networks for this requires a large amount of load data. This study applied the Gated Recurrent Unit technique to examine the possibility of load learning and investigated the possibility of applying a stacked Auto Encoder as a way to secure load data. In addition, the usefulness of learning mechanical loads was analyzed with the Gated Recurrent Unit technique, and the basic setting of related functions and parameters was proposed to secure accuracy in the recognition and prediction of loads.

This study was analyzed dynamically by finite element method about the results of experiments which materials were applied by dynamic load. And they were compared with each other as the simulation data applied onto dynamic impact velocities of 6.4, 16.7 and 18.47m/s. The crack energy release rate, von-Mises stress and the displacement according to the load applied by block were calculated numerically by computer. As the numerical simulation data of specimen analyzed in this study approached the experimental data, the inspection of this specimen model suggested in this paper could be reasonable for the numerical simulation.
Forecasting the daily peak load for electricity demand is an important issue for future power plants and power management. We first introduce several time series models to predict the peak load for electricity demand and then compare the performance of models under the RMSE(root mean squared error) and MAPE(mean absolute percentage error) criteria.

In order to improve the digging load capacity of a domestic excavator model. computer aided design(CAD) technique was applied to the optimum design of the excavator boom. From this study, the digging load capacity of both the bucket cylinder and the dipperstick cylinder could be made about same and the overall digging load capacity could be increased by about 50%, also, the computer program package developed in this study can be flexibly applied to the design of other construction machines by changing and/or adding a few subprograms and the input data.

Intermediate cooling for current lead is used of thermal link in conduction cooling and cooled of itself in liquid cooling because it is put in liquid. If a existing formula for cooling load and optimal diameter-length of current lead is applied, it generate some more cooling load. Therefore, variation of thermal link height and holding depth in liquid is considered. This result is used of reducing cooling load of current lead occupying most of superconducting system load and applying liquid/conduction cooling systems.
Purpose: This study verified the safety of the improved box-type girder behavior by comparing and evaluating the bending behavior results of a full-scale specimen based on the analytical behavior of the splice element PSC U-shaped girder with integrated tensioning systems. Method: Based on the results of the service and strength limit state design using the bridge design standard(limit state design method), the applied load of a 40m full-scale specimen was calculated and a static loading experiment using the four-point loading method was performed. Result: When the design load, crack load, and ultimate load were applied, the specimen deflection occurred at 97.1%, 98.5%, and 79.0% of the analytical deflection value. When the design load, crack load, and ultimate load were applied, the crack gauge was measured at 0.009~0.035mm, 0.014~0.050mm, and 6.383~5.522mm at each connection. Conclusion: The specimen behaved linear-elastically until the crack load was applied, and after cracks occurred, it showed strainhardening up to the ultimate load, and it was confirmed that the resistance of bending behavior was clearly displayed against the applied load. The cracks in the dry joints were less than 25% of grade B based on the evaluation of facility condition standard. The final residual deformation after removing the ultimate load was 0.114mm, confirming the stable behavior of the segment connection.
In the analysis of the effects of rock tunnel blasting vibration on adjacent existing buildings, the model of simplified equivalent load produces higher calculation result of vibration, due to the lack of consideration of the millisecond delay effect. This paper, based on the static force equivalence principle of blasting load, proposes a new determination method of equivalent load of blasting vibration. The proposed method, based on the elastic-static force equivalence principle of stress wave, equals the blasting loads of several single blastholes in the same section of millisecond blasting to the triangle blasting load curve of the exploded equivalent elastic boundary surface. According to the attenuation law of stress wave, the attenuated equivalent triangle blasting load curve of the equivalent elastic boundary is applied on the tunnel excavation contour surface, obtaining the final applied equivalent load. Taking the millisecond delay time of different sections into account, the time-history curve of equivalent load of the whole section applied on the tunnel excavation contour surface can be obtained. Based on Sailing Tunnel with small spacing on Sanmenxia-Xichuan Expressway, an analysis on the blasting vibration response of the later and early stages of the tunnel construction is carried out through numerical simulation using the proposed equivalent load model considering millisecond delay effect and the simplified equivalent triangle load curve model respectively. The analysis of the numerical results comparing with the field monitoring ones shows that the calculation results obtained from the proposed equivalent load model are closer to the measured ones and more feasible.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the magnitude and distribution of stress using a photoelastic model from a distal extension removable partial dentures with three kinds of mandibular major connectors, that is, lingual bar, linguoplate, and swing-lock attachment. A photoelastic model was made of the epoxy resin(PC-1) and hardener(PCH-1) and coated with plastic cement-1 (PC-1) at the lingual surface of the epoxy model and set with three kinds of chrome-cobalt removable partial dentures. A bilateral vertical load of 15kg to the middle portion of the metal bar crossing both the first molars of the right and the left, and a unilateral vertical load of 12.5kg to the right first molar were applied with the use of specially designed loading device and the reflective circular polariscope was used to analyze the photoelastic model under each condition. The following results were obtained : 1. When the bilateral vertical load was applied, the magnitude and distribution of the stress concentration of the edentulous area and the terminal abutment or adjacent teeth was in the order of lingual bar, linguoplate, swing-lock attachment. 2. When the unilateral vertical load was applied, the magnitude and distribution of the stress concentration of the edentulous area and the terminal abutment or adjacent teeth was in the order of lingual bar, linguoplate, swing-lock attachment. 3. When the unilateral vertical load was applied, the magnitude and distribution of the stress concentration of the termial abutment or adjacent teeth on the non-loaded side showed the least stress distribution in case of swing-lock attachment. 4. When the bilateral vertical load and the unilateral vertical load were applied the swing-lock attachment showed the mildest uniform stress distribution on the edentulous area and the alveolar bone around the abutment teeth.
Accurate load modeling is essential for power system static and dynamic analysis. By the nature of the problem of parameter estimation for power system load modeling using actual measurements, multiple local optimal solutions may exist and local methods can be trapped in a local optimal solution giving possibly poor performance. In this paper, Trust-Tech, a novel methodology for global optimization, is applied to tackle the multiple local optimal solutions issue in measurement-based power system load modeling. Multiple sets of parameter values of a composite load model are obtained using Trust-Tech in a deterministic manner. Numerical studies indicate that Trust-Tech along with conventional local methods can be successfully applied to power system load model parameter estimation in measurement-based approaches.
