An Analysis of the Research Trends in Development and Implement of Parent Education Program: Focusing on Research in Recent 10 Years (부모교육 프로그램 개발과 수행에 관한 연구동향 분석 -최근 10년간 연구를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data on the development and application of parent education programs and suggest the direction of future studies by analyzing the trends of research articles related to parent education programs. For this, the articles on 'parent education programs' written in Korea from 2004 to 2014 were collected and analyzed. The number of articles analyzed is 202 in total: 41 doctoral theses, 88 master's theses, and 73 academic theses. Firstly, the basic trend of research of parent education program was examined per object and subject. Secondly, the trend of research of the development and implementation of parent education programs was examined by dividing the programs on the basis of the ground for development, object of application, subject, type of program designing, the number and hours of the program, method of conducting the program, program educator, program effects. etc. The results of the analysis of the data made it possible to find out the process of development and implementation of parent education programs conducted in Korea. Such research results were summarized according to the research problems and suggestions for follow-up studies were made on its basis.

  • Internet application for education has drawn interests in recent time. Usually the method of communication was unidirectional, which means teachers posted educational material on a server and students received them. Even the usage of WWW can't overcome the restriction of unidirectional communication problem. In order to solve this problem, researchers and commercial vendors began to provide packages for bidirectional solution. WBT(Web Based Test) is important subject in this viewpoint. In this paper, the development and application of the 'Module Study' will be presented. The system realize the powerful personalized tutoring, which is even beyond the capability of conventional WBT, and propose a new direction of Web Based Learning.

  • The various designs are preferred as well as IT appliances development of the internet based with consumer needs. It's real that the tool development technology of shortened lead time is also requested for production tool fabrication for the launch of new products. A process technology for shortening tool development period was one of the very important practical education from tooling suppliers related to mold development, and we are in competition with having the three elements of short due date, the quality and the production cost for new products. In this paper, the tooling development education and training program with current product development won't be systematic, and we hope to improve educational training process lacking in the reality and to advance the application model of practical centered education and training program of practical technology ability improvement and process technology improvement for shorting tool development period which can be performed at the workplace substantially.

  • Online education, commonly referred to as distance education, has developed rapidly. However, it is questionable whether such distance education has been applied to various educational fields and has achieved satisfactory results in terms of learning effect. One of the reasons for not maximizing the benefits of distance education is non-dynamicity in the production and application of educational content. Educational contents production is made up of collaborative work between the instructor who is the contents expert and the developer who is the production expert. For this reason, existing researches have also concentrated on the improvement of each educational effect. In this paper, we propose to replace a production expert from a developer to an instructor. At this time, the important point is that the educational contents produced by the instructor, who is a development non-expert, should still be able to be maintained with high-quality contents utilizing the characteristics of the web. For this purpose, the production system was developed based on open source to maintain the quality similar to the educational contents developed by the production expert. This will increase the effectiveness of education by applying the developed Smart-Blended Learning System to various educational sites.

  • As the knowledge and information society has emerged, paradigm of school education has moved to improvement of creativity and problem-solving skills of a learner. However, up to the present, ICT education in schools has shown distorted features, which are focusing on the use of application programs, out of its original purpose. This study also allows digital technology to be displayed in analog ways by applying the paper prototyping technique, which can be substituted for the programming phase that elementary school students feel difficulty to handle with. In addition, It enables practical and useful ideas to be designed, constructed and evaluated as a system, based on User Centered Design (UCD), which encourages users actively to participate in the development, rather than focus on developer. To verify the effects of education, we evaluated and analyzed concept models of a learner before and after the application development activity by applying the mental model theory. The framework suggested in this study can be applied to courseware of programming in elementary schools.

  • The learning application of the rotating object utilizing smart devices, it is possible by using the touch functionality and 3D graphics to enhance the realism and operational feeling, and to overcome the limitations of learning content existing. In this study, I designed a "rotation class" based on the learning contents of elementary and middle mathematics education and developed the learning application which driven by smart Android-based device by using Andoroid API class and the OpenGL ES Because this application is driven by the smart devices, learners easily can make the rotated objects and observe them. It can be utilized in various for elementary and middle education.

  • In this study, we developed the filed-experience learning support application. Because teachers want to use LBS in education area. In order to select fit functions, we carried out survey about functions that teachers want. Then, we analysed the result of survey and implemented the functions. Also, for survey about application's effectiveness, we selected elementary school teachers. Then we demonstrated and explained the application to them. The result of survey about application's effectiveness shows that application have higher utilization in education area.

  • In recent years many people are changing their mobile phones from feature phones to smart phones because huge number of useful smart phone applications are released onto the market everyday. Development of smart phone applications could be very helpful educational contents for technologically gifted children who has lots of curiosity and creativity. For this reason this paper deals with development of smart phone application UI(User Interface) layout education programs for the technologically gifted children. These education programs which can operating under Android-based smartphone, have been developed by using JAVA and Eclipse. Survey from the technologically gifted children education experts has been analyzed by Delphi method to figure out effectiveness of the developed education programs.

Development of 'Children's Food Avatar' Application for Dietary Education (식생활교육용 '어린이 푸드 아바타' 애플리케이션 개발)

  • An educational application (App) called 'Children's Food Avatar' was developed in this study by using a food DB of nutrition and functionality from Rural Development Administration (RDA) as a smart-learning mobile device for elementary school students. This App was designed for the development of children's desirable dietary habits through an on-line activity of food choices for a meal from food DB of RDA provided as Green Water Mill guide. A customized avatar system was introduced as an element of fun and interactive animation for children which provides nutritional evaluation of selected foods by changing its appearance, facial look, and speech balloon, and consequently providing chances of correcting their food choices for balanced diet. In addition, nutrition information menu was included in the App to help children understand various nutrients, their function and healthy dietary life. When the App was applied to 54 elementary school students for a week in November, 2012, significant increases in the levels of knowledge, attitude and behavior in their diet were observed compared with those of the control group (p < 0.05, 0.01). Both elementary students and teachers showed high levels of satisfaction ranging from 4.30 to 4.89 for the App, therefore, it could be widely used for the dietary education for elementary school students as a smart-learning device.
