  • Despite the growing educational demand for the extended reality (XR) convergence content creation for non-IT students, fewer studies have attempted to education material development. In this paper, non-IT students' requirement to create XR convergence contents was analyzed and designed framework system specification. The object-oriented application framework (OOAF) was developed for non-IT students to create XR convergence contents through simple interaction methods such as drag and drop in-game engines. To evaluate the developed framework XR contents development course was operated with 26 industrial design majors sophomore in university. More than 90% of students succeeded in working on prototype XR contents in Oculus Rift. This result will be expected to improve the quality of XR contents creation education for non-IT students and contribute to the growth of the future convergence contents industry.

This study develops and presents ' General Economics'Model Utilizing ICT(Information Communication & Technology) in Home Economics'which could be used as a concrete guidance and direction in teaching and learning Economics education in schools. To do so, this study reviews the necessity of adopting ICT in Home Economics instructional activities and it also reviews and analyzes previous studies of how ICT contribute to instructional activities. Such analysis was used as a theoretical basis for the Instructional Model. The Tool of ICT is a useful instructional strategy because it allows the learners'self-lead learning and Performance Assessment. Therefore the 'General Instructional Model Utilizing ICT'interprets the role of ICT tools to adequate class activities in each step of instruction which includes the conventional steps of introduction. development review and evaluation. It also develops and presents Lesson Plan that can be adopted in school education and thereby shows the possibility of practical application of the theory. This study has limits in that the Instructional Model and Lesson Plan are theoretical in nature. Therefore, in future studies it is desirable to critically review the Instructional Model an Lesson Plan and prove their applicability in real classes and the real learning effects.

  • The goal of this paper is to develop a regional environmental education program using a regional environment of dam, and to set up a regional education for sustainable development with applying that program to the students. This environmental education program is based on Hungerford's project, which consists of 4 subjects. They are good and bad influences of dam environment which students can experience easily in daily life. Through the volunteering activities such as discussion, search and observation, pre- and post-test, study of value, presentation and game, students can decide which is a favorable strategy for preserving dam facilities well. And they are encouraged to take part in environmental preservation and practice what they learn everyday in the community. The following are the outcomes of this environmental education program: First, students are much more interested in regional and general environmental problems than before and participate in conservation activities voluntarily. Second, students express their willingness for the prevention of water pollution in Hapcheon Dam by collecting garbages and reducing synthetic detergent. Third, students demand some measures which connect the school program to citizen groups for the prevention of water pollution in Hapcheon Dam.

  • Background and objective: This study aims to develop and apply programs in agriculture and life sciences for promoting divergent thinking in STEAM using classroom wall gardens. The process of the STEAM program such as presentation of the situation, creative design, and success experience is proposed to utilize STEAM education as a distinguished program. Methods: Four types of classroom wall gardens were used in this program, such as the 'plaster pot wall garden', 'attachable LED wall garden'. 'coffee pack wall garden', and 'hanging wall garden' for each classroom. For this purpose, official letters were sent to relevant institutions (elementary schools) specified by the research institute, and classes were conducted on the selected elementary school students. Results: A satisfaction survey and effect analysis were conducted on the students participating in the program. The program was designed to take a total of 11 hours, comprised of teaching plans including the topics, purpose of production, subject outlines, learning goals, and elements of STEAM subjects and stages. Conclusion: According to the survey on student satisfaction and understanding, it was found that students participating in the program have a high level of understanding and participation, as well as increased interest in science. Also, the program helped the students to connect with other subject areas. The level of student satisfaction was especially high in the upper grades. It is believed that the results of this research contribute to the development of STEAM education programs in agriculture and life sciences as well as other subject areas.

  • Academic medicine is built from a foundation of education, research, and patient care. Since good patient care results from the application of medical research and continuous education, these three components cannot be separated for medical development to occur. In Korea, many obstacles hinder the achievement of academic medicine, such as an inefficient medical delivery system, limitations of primary care, low insurance prices, and no long-term health care plan. Medical education has changed to outcome-based education, but presented temporal integration status. Governance of healthcare research is not centralized, and Korea is awarded relatively fewer grants than other countries. Medical professors have reached a burnout state due to patient care responsibilities in addition to research and education duties. Many medical systems, including the medical delivery system and insurance problems, may contribute to distrust between doctors and patients. The government is not involved in a long-term health care policy. The multitude of factors mentioned here are hindering the achievement of academic medicine in Korea.

  • This study has been conducted on 213 students in 4-year universities located in the regions of Daejeon and Chungnam in order to investigate a method to develop a smart device based culinary education application and the results and development method were as follows. First, the most often used smart device was a smart phone, which is used for over 5 hours a day and mainly used for SNS. Second, they utilized a smart device for language and major study during their spare time, wanted educational contents most and thought them useful for learning. Third, most of the students were positively aware of the necessity and learning effects of culinary education applications, and the response rate to utilize the application once a week was highest. Also, they hoped various recipes and simple cuisine and craftsman cooking. Therefore, the functions of SNS mostly often used by students should be added to promote interaction between teachers and students. And more contents should be made for students to use easily in moving or in their spare time. Furthermore, various videos of teaching and theoretical information should be included.
