  • This study examined the impact of various product photo features on the attention of potential consumers in online apparel retailers' environment. Recently, the method of apparel's product photo representation in online shopping stores has been changed a lot from the classic product photos in the early days. In order to investigate if this shift is effective in attracting consumers' attention, we examined the related theory and verified its effect through laboratory experiments. In particular, experiment data was collected and analyzed using eye tracking technology. According to the results of this study, it was shown that the product photos with asymmetry are more attractive than symmetrical photos, well emphasized object within a photo more attractive than partially emphasized, smiling faces are more attractive for customer than emotionless and sad, and photos with uncentered models focus more consumer's attention than photos with model in the center. These results are expected to help design internet shopping stores to gaze more customers' attention.

  • Fukusuke applied for beginning "Civil affairs reproduction procedure" on June 21, 2003. It′s bankrupt. After obtaining the data of "Commodity Attribute, Sales, Sates Cost, Stock, Ordinary Profit, And Special Loss" based on the financial statement at the time of the bankruptcy, the influence of the production method improves checking. They are compared with a similar apparel company. The production method is close with the distribution circumstances. As a result, it searches for the limit of "Mass-Sail system" in fiber & fashion product by "Make To Stock(MTS) Production Method".

  • 3D printing technology is a key technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and has been gaining attention in various fields, having been selected as one of the top 10 core manufacturing technologies by the U.S. government. In the apparel industry as well, there have been various attempts to develop products using 3D printers. However, compared to other industries and research fields, utilization remains insufficient. This is mainly due to the high price of large 3D printers and a limited varieties of filaments, making it difficult to implement traditional textiles and produce full-size garments. In this study, to develop 3D printed textiles, textile structures that can be 3D printed were categorized. Applying various types of filaments and layering methods allowed for the printing and evaluation of structures, ultimately leading to the selection of three types of 3D printed textile structures suitable for use as clothing materials. Subsequently, types of filaments were selected that match the chosen textile structures and suitabel designs were applied to develop 3D printed clothing designs. As a result of this study, an ideal form for 3D printing textiles was proposed and mehods were presented for clothing construction using practical (versatile) 3D printing technology. This study plays a significant role in contributing to the expansion of research areas related to 3D printing technology in the fashion field and suggesting effective research directions.

  • The study on plane composition in clothing was focused mainly on woven wear earlier but its application has been reaching the knit wear. This study is confined to the utilization with geometrical linear pattern in the modern apparel. The work here intends to grasp the plane structure found in both woven wear and knit wear and, in particular, to understand the aesthetics of fashion. The modern flat patterned clothing has been affected by the oriental style or postmodernism in view of social and cultural aspect while its fabric material and expression method shows the diversity in terms of industrial and technical aspect. It can be characterized as several outstanding patterns: the geometrical pattern in structure, the linear pattern with seam line and 2-dimensional plane pattern without seam line, and the flexible silhouette integrated into one single shape with human body unlike the traditional apparel The aesthetics of fashion in modern flat patterned clothing can be divided into such category as the organically spatial change, the re-creation of tradition and the non-format framework. The organically spatial change shows the geometrical formation in clothes due to change in dimension, where the organically changing uniformity and generosity appears as the dimension progresses. The timeless without any difference of up and down, left and right, and inside and outside and the discontinuity due to limitless spatial change are also imbedded. The re-creation of tradition tells the reshaped spirits of old tradition by integrating and modifying the hereditary features in the old customed clothing into modern clothing. The modern flat patterned clothing implies the contemporaneousness or the frame through which the old and modern cultures may be shared and indicates the re-creation of the past and uniformity. The non-format framework contains the uncertainty in meaning and it doesn't have any certain standards. As both the apparel and the human body with this style aim at the open space, the numerous contingencies are realized.

  • Internet is a part of our common life and tremendous information is cumulated. In these trends, the personalization becomes a very important technology which could find exact information to present users. Previous personalized services use content based filtering which is able to recommend by analyzing the content and collaborative filtering which is able to recommend contents according to preference of users group. But, collaborative filtering needs the evaluation of some amount of data. Also, It cannot reflect all data of users because it recommends items based on data of some users who have similar inclination. Therefore, we need a new recommendation method which can recommend prefer items without preference data of users. In this paper, we proposed the apparel coordination system using personalized preference on the semantic web. This paper provides the results which this system can reduce the searching time and advance the customer satisfaction measurement according to user's feedback to system.

  • This study is a design study related to the application of 3D printer technology for garment printing. Knitting, which used to be a home industry in the early days, originally comes from hand-knitting. This evolved with various personal devices as a small job for the self-sufficiency of early European housewives. In addition, since the Industrial Revolution, mechanical production entered the mass production mass supply system, and various apparel products were provided to consumers in accordance with mass standardized dimensions. This is similar to the development process in Korea. In addition, it has formed a considerable market with the situation that it can produce and supply apparel products at low labor costs of first-generation Namdaemun and Dongdaemun merchants. As the production shifted to the Southeast Asian region due to the increase in labor costs in the domestically developed social situation, the production of garment products in Korea is now almost 5%. As a result, apparel-related production facilities and related companies are constantly moving to other countries to move production facilities sensitively due to rising labor costs. Recently, smart factory automation has been planned to explore new possibilities. In addition, in recent years, with the evolved appearance of consumers, the appropriate supply of the right amount of production has appeared, and the 3D printer applied to personal garment output has attracted considerable interest in the customized market. Therefore, in order to become a new hope and a small addition to various clothing workers, this study conducted related research on the following 3D printers for clothing output and attempted to proceed with a new design.

  • The ethnic image in modern fashion can be interpreted as a trend of post-modernism, which appeared after modernism's established style. It has relativity, pluralism and variety, and it tries to revive style of the past. This makes style that borrows and combines image and style of different era and culture as distinctive feature, and in turn is expressed by a new image that is combined with the country's clothes. Also, thanks to the customers who are tired of artificiality and convenience, gift of modern science and technology, simple and natural sensitive marketing and being 'raw' are getting popular as new trend. Today's ethnic image is not merely borrowing visual, superficial image of culture and clothes of other ethnic group, but pursuing natural as purely created by human senses rather than being polished. In terms of ethnic image's formative beauty and aesthetic value, foreign and domestic collections are compared. But for domestic image, only Korean ones are researched, and for foreign designer's fashion image, there are ethnic styles of Japan, China and Korea. Although the documents of domestic designers that I investigated is not sufficient, canonic simple being of oriental image that is seen by the westerners is summarized.
