도파관 내에서 공간적으로 결합된 V-Band MMIC 결합 발진기 Array (Spatially Combined V-Band MMIC Coupled Oscillator Array in Waveguide)

  • 본 논문은 V-band에서 동작하는 MMIC 결합 발진기 array에 관한 것이다. 제안된 발진기 array의 unit cell들은 한 개의 microstrip patch 안테나와 두개의 발진기가 결합된 push-pull 능동 안테나 구조로 되어 있다. 전체 발진기 array의 주파수 동기화는 각 unit cell의 microstrip patch 안테나 사이의 강한 전자기적 결합을 통해 이루어진다. 이로 인해 전체 array를 하나의 MMIC로 구현할 수 있었다. 제안된 구조로 설계된 2종의 V-band 1$\times$2 결합 발진기 array가 0.15 um pHEMT MMIC 표준 공정을 이용해 제작되었다. 제작된 MMIC 칩은 도파관을 이용한 전력 결합 module로 구현되었다. 모듈 측정 결과, 첫 번째 array는 56.372 GHz에서 0.5 dBm의 출력을 나타내었고 다른 하나는 60.147 GHz에서 5.85 dBm의 출력을 나타내었다.

휴대폰 전자파에 노출된 頭部에 흡수되는 SAR의 FDTD에 의한 해석 (FDTD Calculation for SAR Induced in a Head Model by the Electromagnetic Fields Irradiated from a Cellular Phone)

  • 모노폴 안테나를 갖는 휴대폰의 근거리 전자계블 맥스웰 방정식의 적분형을 이용한 FDTD 수식으로부터 계산 하였다. 이 전자계 값을 기존의 맥스웰 방정식의 미분형인 FDTD 수식에 대입하여 頭部의 전자파 노출 부위에 따른 SAR 분포플 계산하였다. 頭部는 유전율과 도전율이 같은 각 부분을 5 mm 크기인 80,000 개의 정육면체 셀로 분할하였고 휴대폰의 입력 전력은 0.6 W 이며 동작 주파수는 833 MHz로 하였다. 안테나로부터 2cm 떨어진 거리에서 頭部모형내 유기되는 최대 SAR 값은 1.5 [W/kg] 이었으며 이 값은 IEEE 의 안전기준인 1.6 L [W /kg] 이하임을 알 수 있다.

  • In order to survey the radiation characteristics of pure line noise of unwanted noise from overhead high voltage AC transmission lines, a disk type gap noise generator was manufactured. Disk size which decides capacitance between the noise generator and earth was selected through preliminary indoor experiments and analysis by using surface charge method. The capacitance is one of principal parameters related to the injection of a proper noise current into lines. On the basis of the capacitance obtained from calculation, 5mm of space was given to the gap of the noise generator to be installed o test line and an aluminum disk of 60cm radius was made. The field experiments were performed with the noise generator hung on the Kochang 765 kV full scale test line. As the results, the useful data which can be used to analysis the radiation characteristics of noise from transmission lines were obtained. Those are the directivity of antenna toward the line, lateral profiles, frequency spectra, height pattern and so on.

  • Scientific CubeSat with Instruments for Global Magnetic Fields and Radiations (SIGMA) is a 3-U size CubeSat that will be operated in low earth orbit (LEO). The SIGMA communication system uses a very high frequency (VHF) band for uplink and an ultra high frequency (UHF) band for downlink. Both frequencies belong to an amateur band. The ground station that communicates with SIGMA is located at Kyung Hee Astronomical Observatory (KHAO). For reliable communication, we carried out a laboratory (LAB) test and far-field tests between the CubeSat and a ground station. In the field test, we considered test parameters such as attenuation, antenna deployment, CubeSat body attitude, and Doppler frequency shift in transmitting commands and receiving data. In this paper, we present a communication performance test of SIGMA, a link budget analysis, and a field test process. We also compare the link budget with the field test results of transmitting commands and receiving data.

고속 UHF RFID 태그 검사 장비를 위한 전용 리더 (A Specialized Reader for High Speed UHF RFID Tag Inlay Inspection Equipment)

  • RFIDs have not become widespread as expected partly due to the cost, size, read range, and reliability problems of tags. The success rate of reading must be improved in order for RFIDs to be widely adopted. Quality control of tags is crucial to meet this requirement. In this study, we designed and implemented a high-performance reader used in inspection equipment that conducts prior inspection of tags. To improve performance of the developed reader, the baseband modem and command processor (CP) were designed using H/W logic and implemented with FPGA. The inspection of small pitch inlays was made possible through the antenna shielding device and H/W command processor function. This equipment enables accurate evaluation of performance and identification of tags satisfying a given read range. By contributing to sort out defective tags, the results can ultimately lead to more stable RFID services.

인체 삽입용 LC 공진형 혈압 센서 디자인 및 제작 (Design and Fabrication of Implantable LC Resonant Blood Pressure Sensor)

  • In this paper, we present a MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical system) implantable blood pressure sensor which has designed and fabricated with consideration of size, design flexibility, and wireless detection. Mechanical and electrical characterizations of the sensor were obtained by mathematical analysis and computer aided simulation. The sensor is composed of two coils and a air gap capacitor formed by separation of the coils. Therefore, the sensor produces its resonant frequency which is changed by external pressure variation. This frequency movement is detected by inductive coupling between the sensor and an external antenna coil. Theoretically analyzed resonant frequency of the sensor under 760 mmHg was calculated to 269.556 MHz. Fused silica was selected as sensor material with consideration of chemical and electrical reaction of human body to the material. $2mm{\times}5mm{\times}0.5mm$ pressure sensors fitted to radial artery were fabricated on the substrates by consecutive microfabrication processes: sputtering, etching, photolithography, direct bonding and laser welding. Resonant frequencies of the fabricated sensors were in the range of 269~284 MHz under 760 mmHg pressure.

  • The passive microwave remote sensing has progressed considerably in recent years. Important earth surface parameters are detected and monitored by airborne and space born radiometers. However the spatial resolution of real aperture measurements is constrained by the antenna aperture size available on orbiting platforms and on the ground. The inverse problem technique is researched in order to improve the spatial resolution of microwave scanning radiometer. We solve a two-dimensional (surface) temperature-imaging problem with a major intention to develop high-resolution methods. In this paper, the scenario for estimation of both radiometer point spread function (PSF) and target configuration is explained. The PSF of the radiometer is assumed to be unknown and estimated from the observations. The configuration and brightness temperature of targets are also estimated. To do this, we deal with the parametric modeling of observation scenario. The performance of developed algorithms is illustrated on two-dimensional experimental data obtained by the water vapor radiometer.

초소형위성 SAR 탑재체 운용모드 설계 및 성능분석 (Operation Mode Design and Performance Analysis for Small Satellite SAR Payload)

  • 본 논문에서는 SAR 탑재체의 운용모드 설계방안 및 설계결과 그리고 주요성능에 대한 분석 결과를 제시하였다. SAR 시스템 설계는 요구사항을 만족하는 주요변수의 설계값 도출로 진행된다. 저궤도에서 운용하는 100kg 미만의 초소형위성을 가정하고 고해상의 영상을 위하여 X-대역의 주파수를 선정하였다. 주어진 설계 요구사항을 반영하여 주파수 대역폭, 관측영역 설계, 안테나 설계를 진행하고, 설계결과를 반영하여 목표 영상품질인 NESZ 만족여부를 확인하였다. 또한 설계값을 반영하여 관측영역별로 최적의 PRF를 설계하였다. 또한 소형, 경량화를 위한 안테나 형태를 제안하였다. 또한 설계된 변수를 적용하여 체계성능을 확인하였다.

솔잎벌의 생능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Biology of Nesodiprion japonicus($M_{ARLATT}$))

  • 침엽수 계통의 많은 수종은 가해하는 솔잎벌(Nesodiprion japonicus{{{{( { M}_{ ARLATT}) }}}}) 생태중 생활사에 관하여 조사한 것을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 성충은 1년 2회 발생하였으며, 암컷과 수컷이 같은 색 (검정)이고, 암컷의 몸체는 수컷보다 굵고 크며 촉각은 빗살모양으로 수컷이 암컷보다 크다. 성충의 수명은 3~4일, 우화율은 92% 성비는 6(female): 4(male)로 나타났다. 성충은 침엽의 조직내에 1입씩 산란하며 산란된 배 입은 각색으로 변한다. 란 기간은 $14.3\pm$1.2일이었으며, 란의모양은 짧은 바나나형이고 등황색을 띠며 크기는 $2.4\pm$0.2mm 이다. 유충기간은 $30.3\pm$2.1일이고, 크기는 $20.1\pm$2.2mm이다. 두정에는 흑빈이 있고 몸체는 광택이 있는 녹생으로서 전후야란은 황색을 띠고 있다. 노숙유충이 되면 녹색이 연녹색으로 변하고 두정의 흑반도 없어진 후 1회 발생 때의 유충은 솔잎의 기부에 , 2회 대의 유충은 지피물 사이에 고치를 짓고 융화한다. 전용기는 $14.3\pm$2.0일이였고, 크기느 $10.1\pm$0.2mm이다. 용기간은 $12.2\pm$1.3일이었으며, 크기는 $10.1\pm$0.2mm이다.
