  • An XML labeling scheme is an efficient encoding method to determine the ancestor-descendant relationships of elements and the orders of siblings. Recently, many dynamic XML documents have appeared in the Web Services and the AXML(the Active XML), so we need to manage them with a dynamic XML labeling scheme. The prime number labeling scheme is a representative scheme which supports dynamic XML documents. It determines the ancestor-descendant relationships between two elements with the feature of prime numbers. When a new element is inserted into the XML document using this scheme, it has an advantage that an assigning the label of new element don't change the label values of existing nodes. But it has to have additional expensive operations and data structure for maintaining the orders of siblings. In this paper, we suggest the order number sharing method and algorithms categorized by the insertion positions of new nodes. They greatly minimize the existing method's sibling order maintenance cost.

  • This paper discusses the Historical significance of Li-thought at the Hoejae, Lee-Eonjeok's Bongseonjabui. In this study, I tried to derive the value and meaning in the history of the Chosun Dynasty by examining the comparison between the Bongseonjabui and Book of Ancestor-memorial Ceremonies written in the 16th century The following is a summary of the Historical significance of Li-thought of Bongseonjabui. First, it is the first concrete result of the Chosun Dynasty concerning the Family Rituals. Second, it is characterized not only the description of actual procedures but also the explanations of both the theory and reality in Ancestor-memorial Ceremony. Third, it is an example of harmonizing with the national system and the customs of time by applying to the situation of Chosun society at that time. Fourth, it is an example that focuses on the essential meaning of the Ancestor-memorial Ceremony, not the attitude of one side the Zhu Xi's Family Rituals as in the later books.

  • From the ancient Korea, our ancestor had designed the unique pattern which is Dan-chung, in architectures such as palace and Buddhist temple. In Dan-chung pattern, there are many various kinds, that is geometric pattern, arabesque pattern, plant pattern, flower pattern, animal pattern, Buddhist pattern and living pattern. So, we can see the tessellations in the Dan-chung pattern, moreover we can find the beauty of tessellation in the Korean traditional architectures and crafts. In this paper, I'll show you Korean traditional tessellations via GSP 4.0. which means geomeric program Geometer's SkechPad.

  • Isozyme was used to characterize general protein patterns of genetic relationships among 303 silkworm stocks preserved in National Sericultural and Entomology Research Institute, RDA. Six isozymes (esterase, acid phosphatase, alkaline phosphatase, amylase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and sucrase) from hemolymph, midgut, and digestive juice were employed to construct dendograms(UPGMA method) using a polycrylamide gel electrophoresis. A cluster analysis revealed four major group, which were divided into several subgroups within each group, contained assemglages of Japanese and Chinese races. Especially, genetic differentiation in the first and second group was greatest rather than within Japanese and Chinese races repectively and was concordant with the hypothesis of phyletic sorting of initial variability in China many years ago. Hypothesized recent introgression between groups was also plausible, but the eviednce suggested bidirectional gene flow between the Chinese and the Japnaese lineages. Interpreting the results in light of evidence from the current study, the genetic diversity and relationship showed in Korean silkworm race, Hansammyun reflected early and independent evolution from the Chinese ancestor, limited addition of new variability and phyletic sorting within Korean peninsula more than 4,000 years.

  • Three medicinal species of the genus Polygala were examined by comparative morphology, anatomy and TLC analysis. They were classified into three species, and distinctly divided into two groups in this study. Group I is composed of P. japonica, P. sibirica and Group II P. tenuifolia. Considered on the relationships between two groups by the differences of leaf shape, adnated part of petal, flower colour, fruit shape etc., Group II may have been independently evolved from the common ancestor by having one raw of palisadelike chlorenchyma under the stem epidermis through the different pathway. It is also suggested that the taxa of Group II appear to be more advanced than those of Group I.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance level of family events, the events places where the events occur. The subjects of 169 households were selected in Jinju city and data were gathered through a questionnaire method. The data were analyzed by the SPSS package program. The major findings are as follows; 1) Most of the families perform the majority of events except lpchun (the first day of spring), the vernal Equinox Day, the Autumnal Equinox Day, the Vega festival Day, Chilsuk, and the Respect-for-the-Aged Day. 2) Birthday parties score to the highest of all family events. 3) In general, the Lunar New Year's Day, the Full Moon Harvest Day, the ancestor worship ceremony, the 15th of January (in lunar calendar), the feast of a hundred day-old baby among lifetime ceremonies, family members'birthdays, housewarming parties among the other general celebrations, and Parents Day among memorial days are held in their homes. 4) The socialized celebration of the following family events is increasing: the first birthday party, banquets for parents'60th birthday, Christmas, and wedding anniversaries.

  • Our ancestor has accumulated inimitable a building system from experience. and they finally invented Gu-dul that heat the stone as a hitting system. The purpose of this study is to investigate and to write down the on Excavation & Restoration of Traditional Gu-dul in Young-dong. It was found that Gu-dul was the most suited for natural condition. That is wind, direction, earth level. As the results of analyzing the built- technque of traditional Gu- dul : 1) The Gu-dul type is lined, scattered, and mixed. 2) The hight of bank is 25-30cm, 3) The depth of Gaejari is 30-45cm, and The slope of that is gentle. 4) The slope of Gorae(a floor hitter) is 5 - 8%. (from the middle to the edge and from the lower part to the upper part) Therefore, For the practical application of future houses, it will be needed to develop the reasonable hitting system, and suggest to set up Gu-dul for our health and saving energy.
