A Study on Priority of Planning Factors for Stream Restoration Applied AHP (하천복원 계획 요소 우선순위 도출 연구)

  • Most streams in Korea have been managed mainly for the control of flood or usages of the water for agriculture, industry, and others, resulting in the loss of their natural characteristics. In recent years, ecological system and function of streams are recognized as very important, and a paradigm change in their management is prevailing. This study, first, analyzed recent stream restoration policies and projects and derived major restoration planning factors; second, evaluated relative importance and priority of the factors using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. The derived planning factors were four factors for the level 1, and sixteen factors for the level 2. Relative importance and priority of each factor were calculated, and finally, a composite relative importance and priority of all the factors were suggested. These findings are hoped to support stream restoration policies and be used in drafting restoration guidelines.

  • This study applies the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate service quality of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers. For this, 3PL service quality is conceptualized and measured using SERVQUAL's five dimensions such as tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. Then, the AHP method is applied to determining the relative importance of five service quality dimensions and eventually selecting the best 3PL provider. Finally, this study conducts an empirical case study on four companies providing 3PL services in Korea to demonstrate the basic idea suggested in this paper. The results obtained in the present study indicate that responsiveness to customers is the most important factor perceived by 3PL customers and 3PL C is the best 3PL provider according to the overall service quality scores. In contrast to some previous researches, this study examined issues of service quality from the perspective of 3PL customers as opposed to the perspective of 3PL providers. In order for this study to be more complete, future research is needed in establishing a set of metrics to quantify each dimension of 3PL service quality proposed.

  • In the research-oriented university there are various laboratories in the departments according to a major field of study. Under these circumstances the budget to purchase experimental facilities has only to be distributed among research teams and then is spent within the confines of it without rein. However, in case of college the budget for experimental facilities needs to be considered other allocation methods because of no laboratory being managed by professor. In this paper the methodology for the rational selection of experimental facilities for college is proposed. It is composed of the following ; (1) the rational allocation method of the budget for experimental facilities in consideration of the characteristics of individual departments, and (2) the evaluation and selection of the alternative experimental facilities submitting in each department. To decide rationally importance of estimation index for the determination of budget and equipment is applied the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) technique. First the proposed methods are presented and then discussed with simulation results.

  • In order to enhance the understanding of social commerce which is widely spreading globally in a few years, the characteristics selecting social commerce company are analyzed by using quality function deployment(QFD) that is popular in quality management area. To achieve this purpose, this study investigates the concept, market environment, and major competitors of social commerce and interactive relationship between customer's requirements and service characteristics was uncovered by using the house of quality(HOQ) which is a method of QFD. In addition, this study proposes the conceptual model integrating analytic hierarchy process(AHP) and QFD by quantitatively evaluating the importance of customer's requirements and service characteristics.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation system for integrative comfort values of Hanok residence. For this study, a mock-up located in Yongin, Gyeonggi province built by an ongoing governmental research project has been chosen. Then, SSN (Smart Sensor Network) has been utilized for monitoring quantitative factors in the environment and detailed face-to-face surveys have been performed for analyzing qualitative comfort indexes from residents in the experimental settings. Then, this study employs a combined evaluation system using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) established for estimating overall DIC (Degree of Integrative Comfort) of the Hanok residence. As a result, the evaluation system could verify the total comfort indexes of Hanok residence and suggest converged methodologies for establishing value assessment system for traditional residential facilities. The method of DIC suggested in this paper would be examined with current residents in a built mock-up to see its applicability as a comprehensive evaluation model, and it is expected that collected year-round comfort data from the facility would provide more practical information towards future strategies for the Hanok residence.

  • In the NATM tunnel construction method for urban subway and underpass construction, various causes of disaster exist. In this study, in order to analyze the importance of disaster influencing factors during NATM tunnel excavation, the possible risk factors were analyzed through prior research such as drilling, charging and blasting, It was divided into the work items of wrinkle treatment, pumice cleanup, and support materials. Next, the final 21 detailed measurement indicators were selected through the FGI survey of related experts, and AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis were conducted. As a result, it was found that the workers involved in the tunnel construction were the most influential disaster influencing factor.

  • Currently, each managing agencies are enforcing the maintenance against the cutting slopes, but the universality and objectivity are insufficient, because the evaluation item and model are various, the access method is not mutual-supplementary. Consequently, this study will lead the approach for a rational model development, by the analysis against the existing cutting slope evaluation technique, excavate a collapse primary reason and a factor, by the collapse example analysis, and make out evaluation table to decide a investigation priority of the existing cutting slope in the Investigation Evaluation step using AHP.

  • In GIS-based Spatial Decision-making Support System (SDSS), the Boolean logic by conventional simple overlay method contains two problems. One is losing lots of information in analysis process, the other is unable to reflect of weighting values between evaluated items. Therefore, evaluation system as Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) needs to improve these problems effectively. The purpose of this study is to provide the benefit of AHP method and GIS spatial analysis in site analysis for crop cultivation. First, the weighting value of AHP for topography, distribution grade of water, property of soil and slope items are evaluated throughout survey to experts of soil, crop and agricultural management fields. On the basis of these weighting value of AHP by items, site suitability analysis for black raspberry cultivation is performed. To estimate the benefit of AHP method, the current cultivating map of black raspberry is constructed in Ssangchi-myeon district. In comparison with site analysis of Boolean logic, site analysis of AHP method shows more realistic.

Application of AHP to Select for Priority of Permanent Traffic Volume Survey Site (AHP를 적용한 상시 교통량 조사 지점 선정 우선순위 결정에 관한 연구)

  • Traffic volume data have been used for the plan, the design, and the operation of highway. Since 1955, traffic survey has been nation- widely carried out at national highway and the regular survey in national highway has been conducted at the intersections of highways. However, it is critical issue to select the priority of the regular survey because it is almost impossible to conduct regular survey at all intersections of national highways. In this study, MCDM(Multiple Criteria Decision Making) using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) was applied to decide the priority of the regular survey. The following standard variables for determining the priority was selected the highway plan variables[AADT, VKT, Peak Hourly Volume, Location of highway from Urban], the highway design variables[Volume(pcu), Directional Traffic Volume, Heavy Vehicle Rate], and the highway operation variables[Speed, Density, V/C]. The standard variables were quantified and normalized. Using the Eigen vector method, the weighted values of each hierarchy based on the pair-wise comparison values from the questionnaire survey were calculated. The selection of the priority of regular survey was dependent on the size of the product of the weighted values for each hierarchy and the normalized values for the standard variables. Finally, the priority of regular survey of the intersections of national highways was determined according to the order in the size of the product of two values.

  • Recently, selects method of waterproofing where is suitable with method and material physical properties, construction technique, Productive technique and specifications and maintenance techniques evaluation for the same evaluation method is coming to be presented. Respects the application which select system is substantial objectively reflects a weight to evaluation item the research for is necessary. This research the evaluation which in order is effective and the decision-making to be possible about technically countermeasures for a quality security from waterproofing materials, method selection processes, clearly responsible dividing of construction and maintenance techniques. A sets weight of evaluation item for right select system, it stratify the causes which affect in priority based on AHP.
