  • An experiment was carried out to evaluate the emotion and sensibility evoked from the different color temperatures(CCT) of electrodeless HID (ELHID) lamp. For this purpose, three ELHID lamps and a metal halide lamp were used as the experimental light sources and thirty Korean adjectives related to the lighting affectiveness were selected for the evaluation. The results showed that ELHID lamps induced different sensibilities according to their color temperature. In particular, 6500 K ELHID was similar to metal halide which has the CCT of 5600 K in the evaluation. Based on the results, we suggested some Korean adjectives and their corresponding English ones which are thought to be suitable for the verbal descriptions of ELHID lamps.

  • This study is to help Juvenile Deliquent's successflul adaptation to the society and prevent further juvenile deliquency. Social support and the teenagers 'perception of this support is directly and indirectly influencial to the teenagers' behavior. This study is majorly on influence of ecological factors and social members, including his parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents friends, teachers and neighbors. Social support is measured on 11 factors: companionship, conflict, instrumental aid, satisfaction intimacy, affectiveness, punishment, admiration, relative power, reliable alliance, counselling for sex. This study was conveyed on 258 juvenile deliquents in CHOONCHUN Boy's Home and 153 giral in ANYANG Girl's Home. They were in age group of between 11 and 18. The questions were, 1) Do the perception of the juvenile deliquents of the social support differ according to the relations in the social network? 2) Do the perception of the juvenile deliquents of the social support differ according to their sex? The results are 1) In companionship, conflict, instrumental aid, intimacy aid, relative power, they percept friends to be most reliable and then brothers/sisters, mother father. 2) In satisfaction, brothers and sisters were thought most reliable and next came friend, mother, father. 3) In affection, father, mother, brother/sisters, friend. 4) Punishment was most often rendered by teachers and fathers. 5) Reliable alliance was found most in the mothers, the study showed and then father, brother/sister.

  • In affective space model for the faces of Korean women in twenties was developed based on the findings of Park, et. at. (2001) that suggested two orthogonal dimensions for the affective representation of a face. babyish-mature and sharp-soft. In the current study, affective facial characteristics were visualized by providing properly synthesized faces at 17 subregions of the model space Effect of physical attributes of a face on its affective evaluation was also investigated along the two affective dimensions. The relationship between typical adjectives describing facial affectiveness anti physical attributes of a face was examined to provide a category-based interpretation.

  • Objectives: The purpose of the present study is to analysis the trends of and issues in research about parentification in Korea up to date, and to propose directions for further studies. Methods: For this purpose, eighty one theses and articles about parentification, published from 2003 to 2015 were categorized according to research subjects, research objects, research methods, statistical analysis methods, and related variables with the parentification. Results: Consequently, first, the number of articles published has been gradually increased. Second, the main research subjects were the characteristics and trait of parentification, an interpersonal relationship and family. Third, the common research objects were undergraduate student/graduate student and youth(middle/high school students). Fourth, the quantitative research methods have been used mainly. FRS-A(Filial Responsibility Scale-Adult) and FRS-Y(Filial Responsibility Scale-Youth) have been used most. A high frequency related variables with parentification were the affectiveness-related variables, in particularly, the shame proneness is the highest correlation variables. Conclusions: Based on the findings in this study, it is suggested that the research objects should be more varied and the Korean parentification measurements need to be developed in the near future.

  • This study suggests the effectiveness of G-learning English afterschool classes implemented to elementary school students at low achievement level in English. These days, the use of games in teaching and learning, known as G-learning, has gradually expanded, so it is necessary to consider how to adapt G-learning generally in English education. A G-learning afterschool English class was implemented to 23 low-level 5th grade students in an elementary school located in Daejon for 12 weeks. This study set two hypotheses aiming to determine the effectiveness in achievement and affectiveness of the participants. Pre and post achievement tests were conducted. Also, survey and FGI (focused group interview) were carried out twice with the participants. The study found that students' spelling awareness, vocabulary recognition and dialogue comprehension ability (hypothesis 1) were all improved with statistical significance. Moreover, after the class, participants' confidence and interest toward English study showed meaningful increases.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a test tool that can be measured in various aspects for the reading attitudes of children. For that it was set the configuration based on the preceding reading attitude survey and models and tacit knowledge of attitude toward reading and wrote the questions for reading attitudes. It conducted a primary and secondary test for elementary school students in grades 4-6 to verify the validity and reliability of measurement tools. 8 factors of the reading attitudes measurement tool were extracted through exploratory factor analysis and it described 66.29% of total variable. the r-value for inter-item consistency about reading attitudes were above 0.4 on all questions. The Cronbach ${\alpha}$-value of reliability coefficient about reading attitudes measurement tool was 0.950. Therefore Reading attitude test tool have reading usefulness, reading efficacy, leisure, stiumulation, flow, expression, study, assertiveness as sub factors of reading attitude has been shown that it can serve as a useful tool for measuring various aspects of the reading attitude for children.

  • Recognizing the importance of affective factors in mathematical learning and achievement, international comparative assessment as PISA and TIMSS survey affective achievement as well as scholastic achievement. On the affective survey those items of PISA are categorized by 5 factors ; interest of mathematics, instrumental motivation, Mathematics self-efficacy, mathematics anxiety, mathematics self-concept) and those of TIMSS are categorized by 3 factors; Positive affect toward mathematics (PATM), Students' Self-Confidence in Learning Mathematics(SCM), and Students' Valuing Mathematics(SVM). In this study we carried out Exploratory Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Measurement Equivalence/Invariance to find whether the constructs are well defined and divided. As a result of our analysis, some factors were overlapped in PISA whereas the items of TIMSS were categorized as intended in TIMSS study. Based on these results, it is confirmed that the questionnaire items need to be developed to understand our students affective characteristics. Also, how questionnaire of large-scaled international assessment can give implication to the development of the questionnaire of Korean specific.
