We give a new saddle point theorem for vector-valued functions on an admissible compact convex set in a topological vector space under weak condition that is the semicontinuity of two function scalarization and acyclicty of the involved sets. As application, we obtain the minimax theorem.

In this paper we apply the third-order differential subordination results to normalized analytic functions in the open unit disk. We obtain appropriate classes of admissible functions and find some sufficient conditions of functions to be starlike associated with Tamanoi's Schwarzian derivative of third order. Several interesting examples are also discussed.

This paper provides the first known flexural vibration data for thick (Mindlin) rectangular plates having V-notches. The V-notch has bending moment and shear force singularities at its sharp corner due to the transverse vibratory bending motion. Based upon Mindlin plate theory, in which transverse shear deformation and rotary inertia effects are considered, the Ritz procedure is employed with a hybrid set of admissible functions assumed for the rotational and transverse vibratory displacements. This set includes: (1) a mathematically complete set of admissible algebraic-trigonometric polynomials which guarantee convergence to exact frequencies as sufficient terms are retained; and (2) an admissible set of Mindlin corner functions which account for the bending moment and shear force singularities at the sharp corner of the V-notch. Extensive convergence studies demonstrate the necessity of adding the Mindlin corner functions to achieve accurate frequencies for rectangular plates having sharp V-notches.

We investigate the boundary values of the holomorphic mean Lipschitz function. In fact, we prove that the admissible limit exists at every boundary point of the unit ball for the holomorphic mean Lipschitz functions under some assumptions on the Lipschitz order. Moreover, we get embedding theorems of holomorphic mean Lipschitz spaces into Hardy spaces or into the Bloch space on the unit ball in $\mathbb{C}_n$.

Consider an estimation problem under squared error loss in a family of non-regular densities with both terminals of the support being decreasing functions of an unknown parameter. Using Karlin's(1958) technique, sufficient conditions are given for generalized Bayes estimators to be admissible for estimating an arbitrarily positive, monotone parametric function and then treat some examples which illustrate our results.

This paper provides accurate flexural vibration solutions for thick (Mindlin) sectorial plates. A Ritz method is employed which incorporates a complete set of admissible algebraic-trigonometric polynomials in conjunction with an admissible set of Mindlin “corner functions". These corner functions model the singular vibratory moments and shear forces, which simultaneously exist at the vertex of corner angle exceeding 180$^{\circ}$. The first set guarantees convergence to the exact frequencies as sufficient terms are taken. The second set represents the corner singularities, and accelerates convergence substantially. Numerical results are obtained for completely free sectorial plates. Accurate frequencies are presented for a wide spectrum of vertex angles (90$^{\circ}$, 180$^{\circ}$, 270$^{\circ}$, 300$^{\circ}$, 330$^{\circ}$, 350$^{\circ}$, 35 5$^{\circ}$,and 359$^{\circ}$)and thickness ratios.tios.

We generalize several integral inequalities for analytic functions on the open unit polydisc $U^n={\{}z{\in}C^n||zj|<1,\;j=1,...,n{\}}$. It is shown that if a holomorphic function on $U^n$ belongs to the mixed norm space $A_{\vec{\omega}}^{p,q}(U^n)$, where ${\omega}_j(\cdot)$,j=1,...,n, are admissible weights, then all weighted derivations of order $|k|$ (with positive orders of derivations) belong to a related mixed norm space. The converse of the result is proved when, p, q ${\in}\;[1,\;{\infty})$ and when the order is equal to one. The equivalence of these conditions is given for all p, q ${\in}\;(0,\;{\infty})$ if ${\omega}_j(z_j)=(1-|z_j|^2)^{{\alpha}j},\;{\alpha}_j>-1$, j=1,...,n (the classical weights.) The main results here improve our results in Z. Anal. Anwendungen 23 (3) (2004), no. 3, 577-587 and Z. Anal. Anwendungen 23 (2004), no. 4, 775-782.

Differential subordination and superordination results are obtained for multivalent meromorphic functions associated with the Liu-Srivastava linear operator in the punctured unit disk. These results are derived by investigating appropriate classes of admissible functions. Sandwich-type results are also obtained.
