The performance of conventional direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems is decreased under environments such as additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), channel distortion and interference noise due to multiple access user. By means of this parameter, auto correlation value of pseudo noise spreading sequence is decreased at receiver. This techniques which are based on correlation of between signature waveform signal. In this paper, to improve correlation property, we proposed the binary chirp DS-CDMA techniques which combine the DS-CDMA and chirp modulation. The proposed system which is based on binary chirp symbol has a good correlation value. Thus, we called BC DS-CDMA. To evaluate the system's performance, we compare the performance of the proposed systems with DS-CDMA systems under AWGN channel and halogen noise which exists on the powerline. The simulation results show that the proposed method has better performance than conventional technique.
A novel method to reduce additive non-stationary noise is proposed. The method requires neither the information about noise nor the estimate of the noise statistics from any pause regions. The enhancement is performed on a band-by-band basis for each time frame. Based on both the decision on whether a particular band in a frame is speech or noise dominant and the masking property of the human auditory system, an appropriate amount of noise is reduced using spectral subtraction. The proposed method was tested on various noisy conditions (car noise, Fl6 noise, white Gaussian noise, pink noise, tank noise and babble noise) and on the basis of comparing segmental SNR with spectral subtraction method and visually inspecting the enhanced spectrograms and listening to the enhanced speech, the method was able to effectively reduce various noise while minimizing distortion to speech.

Major human Nucleoside diphosphate kinases (NDPKs) exist as hetero-oligomers, consisting of NDPK-A and NDPK-B, rather than homo-oligomer. To investigate their biological function depending on the oligomeric structure in vivo, we characterized the biochemical properties of cellular NDPK. Cellular NDPKs, which are made up of a unique combination of isoforms, were purified from human erythrocyte and placenta. We found that cellular NDPK and recombinant isoforms NDPKs have their own distinct biochemical properties in autophosphorylation, stability toward heat or urea, and DNA binding. Cellular NDPK was found to have unique characteristics rather than the expected additive properties of recombinant isoforms. The mutations in the dimeric interface of NDPK-B (R34G, N69H or K135L) caused defective DNA binding and simultaneously reduced the enzymatic stability These results suggest that the oligomeric interaction could play a major role in the stability of catalytic domain and might be related to the regulation of various cellular functions of NDPK.
Traditional paste materials and additives for investigation were selected through careful literature survey. We used the immersed glutinous rice flour, soybean as a traditional paste materials and a yellow wax, alum, and lime as additives. The effect of additives on viscosity, pH, adhesive strength, flexibility, antibacterial activities, mildew resistance, and conservation properties were examined. It was found that there was a relationship between the properties(viscosity, pH, and adhesive strength) and the characteristics of additives. Alum increased flexibilty but decreased viscosity, adhesive strength, and pH. Yellow wax deceased flexibilty, viscosity, adhesive strength, and pH. Lime increased flexibilty, viscosity, adhesive strength, and pH. The conservation properties increased by adding all additive. The present work was therefore carried out with the objective of offering the base datum for keeping traditional papers and textiles using traditional paste.
This study evaluated the laboratory properties of asphalt binder and mixture modified with SPC(Sulfur Polymer Cement), which consists of sulfur as a main ingredient that is an industrial by-product made from refining process of crude oil and carbon-black as an additive. Four levels of SPC modifier ratios(0, 10, 30, 50%) were evaluated in the laboratory. Superpave(Superior Performing Asphalt Pavements) system was used to determine the PG(Performance Grade) and evaluate the property of SPC modified binder at the different temperatures. IDT(Indirect Tensile Test) was performed to evaluate the resistance of fatigue and low-temperature cracking at $10^{\circ}C\;and\;-10^{\circ}C$. Wheel-tracking test was also performed to evaluate the rutting-resistance of SPC modified asphalt mixtures. Test results showed that the more SPC modifier ratios, the better rutting-resistance and the more potential of low-temperature cracking resistance. However, SPC modifier did not show the effect on the fatigue cracking resistance.
A bulk porous $CaZrO_3/MgO$ composite with plantinum nano-dispersion was synthesized in air atmosphere through the combination of several in situ reactions, including the pyrolysis of $PtO_2$. A mixture of $CaMg(CO_3)_2$(dolomite), $ZrO_2$, $PtO_2$ and LiF (0.5 wt%, as an additive) was cold isostatically pressed at 200 MPa and sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ for 2 h. The porous $CaZrO_3/MgO/Pt$ composite ($CaZrO_3/MgO$ : Pt=99 : 1 in volume) had a uniformly open-porous structure (porosity: 56%) with three-dimensional (3-D) network and a narrow pore-size distribution, similarly to the porous $CaZrO_3/MgO$ composites reported before. Catalytic Properties (viz., NO direct decomposition and NO reduction by $C_2H_4$) of the $CaZrO_3/MgO/Pt$ composite were investigated up to $900^{\circ}C$. In the absence of oxygen, the NO conversion rate reached ~52% for the direct decomposition and ~100% for the reduction by $C_2H_4$, respectively. The results suggest the possibility of the porous composite as a multifunctional filter, i.e., simultaneous hot gas-filtering and $de-NO_x$ in one component.
The copolymer membranes, poly(vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene) (PVdF-HFP) were prepared by phase inversion method using as an additive with N,N-dimethylformamid as a solvent. The pores are generated during the solvent and non-solvent exchange process in the coagulation bath filled with non-solvent (distilled water). The highest porosity of the membrane was 60%. The surface and cross-section of the membranes was observed with a scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The mechanical property of the membrane was determined by using an universal testing machine (UTM). Tensile strength of measured membranes is presented the maximum 6.57 MPa at 30 wt% of PVdF-HFP.
To research of the improved mechanical properties of materials for spectacle lens cutting, SiC and TiC were used as the main powder. Also, $Al_2O_3$ and $Y_2O_3$ was included as a sintering additive. The weight ratio of the alumina($Al_2O_3$) to yttria($Y_2O_3$) was set to 1:1. The materials for spectacle lens cutting were fabricated by hot-pressing at $1810^{\circ}C$ for 1h and subsequently annealed at $1860^{\circ}C$ for 3, 6 and 12h to initiated grain growth. The longer annealing time is, the bigger the grain size is. The microstructures were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The SEM images were quantitatively analyzed by image analysis (Image-Pro Plus, Media Cybernetics, Maryland, U.S.A.). Crack deflection by elongated SiC grains was most frequently observed as the dominant toughening mechanism. Crack deflection was generally observed for elongated SiC grains with aspect ratio(AR) > 2.5 and grain thickness < $2.3{\mu}m$. Crack bridging was also observed as one of the operating toughness mechanism.

SiC has an excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion, high temperature strength and good thermal conductivity. However, it is difficult to density because of its highly covalent bonding characteristics. Hot-press sintering process was applied to fabricate fully densified SiC ceramics with carbon and boron addition as a sintering additive. The addition of carbon improved the mechanical properties of SiC because it could induce a fine and homogeneous microstructure by the suppression of abnormal growth of SiC grain. Also, the addition of carbon could control the phase transformation of SiC. The phase transformation of 6H to 4H increased with sintering temperature but the addition of carbon decreased that kind of phase transformation.

The phosphor and ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) films for video phone tube (VPT) were simply prepared by the screen printing and thermal transfer methods. The increasing order of thermal firing of acrylic binder for phosphor and ITO was M6003 < M6664 < A/A 1919 < M500l < M670 1 and all mass of binders were perfectly decomposed at lower temperature than $400^{\circ}C.$ After thermal firing of phosphor paste, the residual of binder on the surface of phosphor could not be found by SEM. Aerosil as thickner provides the thixotropy property for phosphor paste but decrease the brightness of phosphor screen as residual after thermal firing. Since the thixotropy of M5001 binder without aerosil was shown and the storage modulus of phosphor paste by increasing the angular frequency was not nearly changed and the decrease of the storage modulus of phosphor paste by increasing the strain was remarkably shown. It was possible to prepare the phosphor paste which was predominant in the plate separation and the reproduction of pattern after the screen printing. Since the addition of dispersing agent to improve the printing process decreases the electrical conductivity and light transmission of ITa film, it could be found to be necessary the development of binder for phosphor paste that decreases the amount of dispersing agent possibly and does not use the aerosil as additive.
