Approaches for Improving Bloom Filter-Based Set Membership Query

  • We propose approaches for improving Bloom filter in terms of false positive probability and membership query speed. To reduce the false positive probability, we propose special type of additional Bloom filters that are used to handle false positives caused by the original Bloom filter. Implementing the proposed approach for a routing table lookup, we show that our approach reduces the routing table lookup time by up to 28% compared to the original Bloom filter by handling most false positives within the fast memory. We also introduce an approach for improving the membership query speed. Taking the hash table-like approach while storing only values, the proposed approach shows much faster membership query speed than the original Bloom filter (e.g., 34 times faster with 10 subsets). Even compared to a hash table, our approach reduces the routing table lookup time by up to 58%.

QR코드를 이용한 종이지도의 활용도 증대방안 연구 - 종이지도용 QR코드 사용의사 및 정보제공 수요 조사를 중심으로 - (A Study on Making Better Use of the Paper Map with QR codes - Focused on the Survey about Intending to Use and Providing Information -)

  • 본 연구는 종이지도에 대한 다양한 정보수요를 충족하고 종이지도의 활용을 활성화하기 위해 QR코드를 활용하는 방안을 살펴보았다. 종이지도에 QR코드를 부착하여 추가정보를 제공한다면 이를 활용할 의사가 있는지와 이를 결정하는 요인을 탐색하기 위하여 의사결정나무분석을 실시하였다. 또한 QR코드를 통해 제공받고 싶은 추가정보를 도출하기 위하여 정보제공 분야와 분야별 추가정보 수요에 대해 조사하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 종이지도용 QR코드 사용의사를 결정하는 예측요인은 종이지도 사용빈도, 종이지도 사용경험, QR코드 사용경험, 종이지도 구입의사, 종이지도 구입경험 등으로 나타났다. 종이지도용 QR코드의 사용의사를 가장 잘 변별해 주는 요인은 종이지도의 사용빈도였다. QR코드를 통해 종이정보에 추가로 정보를 제공할 분야는 여행 레저분야의 수요가 가장 높았다. 또한 일상생활, 부동산, 교육, 여행 레저, 엔터테인먼트 등 세부분야별로 다양한 정보수요가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 QR코드를 도입하여 종이지도의 활용을 활성화하기 위한 방안을 모색하고, 종이지도용 QR코드와 관련 어플리케이션을 개발하는데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Existing data structures for non-manifold solid modelers use basic dat entities, such as vertex, edge, loop, face, shell, and region to find adjacency relationships. But, no one clearly identified what additional types of data entitles are necessary to represent incidence relationships. In this paper, we classified the boundary information of vertex, edge, face , and region from the 3-D space view. As the results we can clearly define the boundary information required for adjacency relationships. The existing B-rep data structures for solid modeler are compared whether they have the required boundary information.

  • The purpose of this paper was to present the method of progress efficiency of morphosyntaxical analyzer for French information processing in the view of multilingual information processing. This study indicated that he method prohibit the additional useless word type by decomposing word type by decomposing works which were created by morphological amalgamation. Findings also suggested the need of preprocessing in order to decrease the overload of morphosyntaxical analysis algorithm. In addition, general rules were proposed to divide word form and to decompose complex sentence.

  • 본 논문은 오픈소스를 활용하여 e-Learning 에 필수적인 LMS를 개발 제시 하였다. 이는 MTT 에서 시작된 dotLRN 오픈소스 프로젝트를 한글화 하고, 인터넷 교육 표준안인 SCORM을 수용할 수 있는 모듈을 추가 개발하여 학습자의 학습 상황을 관리할 수 있는 기능을 부여한 것이다. 본 시스템은 공주 대학교 가상 대학의 LMS로서 1년 동안 안정적으로 서비스를 제공하였으며, 이를 기반으로 개발 시스템의 기능과 특정을 알아보고, 특히 학습소요시간을 활용한 학습결과 분석에 대하여 고찰 하고자한다.

  • 영상정보용 데이터링크는 장거리의 공중-지상 환경에서 영상과 신호정보를 전송하도록 설계된 통신 시스템이다. 본 논문은 장거리 공중-지상 채널환경의 신호 분석에 적합한 곡면지구 2-Ray 모델을 사용하여 영상정보용 데이터 링크의 통신거리에 따른 수신전력 변화 폭을 분석하고 지면 반사파에 의한 수신전력의 변화폭을 경감할 수 있는 수신 안테나의 최적 고각 제어방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 추가적인 하드웨어 성능 향상 없이도 기존의 고각 제어 방법에 비하여 추가적인 링크마진을 확보할 수 있다.

패션관련 인터넷 사이트의 활용실태 및 평가 (A Study on the Application of Fashion-Related Internet Web Sites and Their Evaluation)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the application of fashion-related web sites and their evaluation. 76 college students major in fashion design were surveyed and the evaluation criteria were classified into five categories such as the accuracy/reliability, the design of a picture, the ease of application, the communication/security, and additional services. The results of this study were as follows: 1. College students used web sites mostly to search for fashion trend information from magazine and fashion information sites. 2. While the media site was excellent in the evaluation criteria such as the accuracy/reliability, the design of a picture and the communication/security, the fashion information site was excellent in the evaluation criteria such as the accuracy/reliability, communication/ security and additional services. 3. The media site and the fashion information site generally ranked high and the fashion brand site ranked low in most evaluation items. 4. By the results of ANOVA, 12 items showed significant differences out of the total 19 items. 5. Out of the total evaluation items, the design of a picture ranked highest and the external link function ranked lowest.

패션 브랜드 애플리케이션 분석 (An Analysis of the Fashion Brand Application)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify fashion brand app types through current fashion brand app releases. To this end, this study used Internet Web, articles, newspapers, and existing studies on brand applications as well as the data that were analyzed after downloading the relevant brand app. Firstly, this study aimed to analyze rapidly growing smartphone market and brand app market situations and look into brand app's own characteristics from the corporate marketing perspective. In addition, the study divided the types into a basic information type and an additional information type by analyzing functions of 30 fashion brand apps. As the result, the basic information type contains product info, store info, fashion info, and coordination info. The additional information type contains entertainment, hobbies, life info, mutual experiences, and sharing services. According to the divided fashion brand app types, the goals of companies also can be divided as three. Firstly, the aim is to expand sales, secondly to improve brand awareness, and lastly to build customer relationship. Consequently, companies will have to select brand app types suitable for their goals and provide to consumers.

Real-time Human Detection under Omni-dir ectional Camera based on CNN with Unified Detection and AGMM for Visual Surveillance

  • In this paper, we propose a new real-time human detection under omni-directional cameras for visual surveillance purpose, based on CNN with unified detection and AGMM. Compared to CNN-based state-of-the-art object detection methods. YOLO model-based object detection method boasts of very fast object detection, but with less accuracy. The proposed method adapts the unified detecting CNN of YOLO model so as to be intensified by the additional foreground contextual information obtained from pre-stage AGMM. Increased computational time incurred by additional AGMM processing is compensated by speed-up gain obtained from utilizing 2-D input data consisting of grey-level image data and foreground context information instead of 3-D color input data. Through various experiments, it is shown that the proposed method performs better with respect to accuracy and more robust to environment changes than YOLO model-based human detection method, but with the similar processing speeds to that of YOLO model-based one. Thus, it can be successfully employed for embedded surveillance application.

온라인 패션쇼핑몰의 개인 상품 추천서비스가 인지적 태도와 감정적 애착을 통해 서비스 사용행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Personalized Product Recommendation Service of Online Fashion Shopping Mall on Service Use Behaviors through Cognitive Attitude and Emotional Attachment)

  • Personalized product recommendation service is receiving attention as a new marketing strategy while supporting consumer information search and purchasing decisions. This study attempted to verify the effect of self-reference on service use behavior through the dual path of cognitive attitude and emotional attachment. Using convenience sampling, an online survey was conducted with 324 women who were in their 20s and 30s. After collecting and compiling the survey data, the reliability and validity of variables constituting the conceptual research model were verified through confirmatory factor analysis using AMOS 22.0. Next, the significance of sequentially mediated pathways was verified using Process 3.5 Model 80. The results showed that self-referencing not only significantly affects service use intention by simply mediating cognitive attitudes but also sequentially mediates cognitive attitudes and additional information search. Furthermore, self-referencing was significant as an indirect path to service use intention by mediating additional information search. However, in the path mediated by emotional attachment, self-referencing was considered as a simple mediated path leading to service usage intention. These results indicate a dual path in the psychological mechanism, through cognitive and emotional evaluation, that prompts consumer behavioral responses to the personalized product information provided in the shopping process.
