  • This paper proposes a composite design of fuzzy adaptive control scheme based on TMD RC structural system and the gain of two-dimensional fuzzy control is controlled by parameters. Monitoring and learning in LMI then produces performance indicators with a weighting matrix as a function of cost. It allows to control the trade-off between the two efficiencies by adjusting the appropriate weighting matrix. The two-dimensional Boost control model is equivalent to the LMI-constrained multi-objective optimization problem under dual performance criteria. By using the proposed intelligent control model, the fuzzy nonlinear criterion is satisfied. Therefore, the data connection can be further extended. Evaluation of controller performance the proposed controller is compared with other control techniques. This ensures good performance of the control routines used for position and trajectory control in the presence of model uncertainties and external influences. Quantitative verification of the effectiveness of monitoring and control. The purpose of this article is to ensure access to adequate, safe and affordable housing and basic services. Therefore, it is assumed that this goal will be achieved in the near future through the continuous development of artificial intelligence and control theory.

A Double Loop Control Model Using Leaky Delay LMS Algorithm for Active Noise Control (능동소음제어를 위한 망각형 지연 LMS 알고리듬을 이용한 이중루프제어 모델)

  • In this paper, a double loop control model using leaky delay LMS algorithm are proposed for active noise control. The proposed double loop control model estimates the loudspeaker characteristic and the error path transfer function with on-line using only gain and acoustic time delay to reduce computation burden. The control of error signal through double loop control scheme makes the more robust cntrol system. The input signal of filter to estimate acoustic time delay is used difference between input signal of input microphone and adaptive filter output. And also, in nonstationary environments, the leaky delay LMS algorithm is employed to counteract parameter drift of delay LMS algorithm. For practical noise signal, the proposed double loop control model reduces noise level about 12.9 dB.

  • This paper presents a robust and speed-sensorless stator flux estimation for induction motor direct torque control. The proposed observer is based on sliding mode approach. Stator electrical equations are used in the rotor orientation reference frame to eliminate the observer dependence on rotor speed. Lyapunov's concept for systems stability is adopted to confine the observer gain. Furthermore, the sensitivity of the observer to parameter mismatch is recovered with an adaptation technique. The nonlinearities of the pulse width modulation voltage source inverter are estimated and compensated to enhance stability at low speeds. Therefore, a new method based on the model reference adaptive system is proposed. Simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

  • In this paper the MMAE(Multiple Model Adaptive Estimation) algorithm using the MGEKF(Modified Gain Extended Kalman Filter) of which modes are set to be measurement biases is proposed to enhance the performance of target tracking with bearing only measurements. The state are composed of relative position, relative velocity and taregt acceleration. The mode probability is calculated from the bearing only measurements from the HMS(Hull-Mounted Sonar). The proposed algorithm is tested in a series of computer simulation runs.

  • As an adaptive control function generator, the CMAC (Cerebellar Model Arithmetic or Articulated Controller) based learning control has drawn a great attention to realize a rather robust real-time manipulator control under the various uncertainties. There remain, however, inherent problems to be solved in the CMAC application to robot motion control or perception of sensory information. To apply the CMAC to the various unmodeled or modeled systems more efficiently, It is necessary to analyze the effects of the CMAC control parameters an the trained net. Although the CMAC control parameters such as size of the quantizing block, learning gain, input offset, and ranges of input variables play a key role in the learning performance and system memory requirement, these have not been fully investigated yet. These parameters should be determined, of course, considering the shape of the desired function to be trained and learning algorithms applied. In this paper, the interrelation of these parameters with learning performance is investigated under the basic learning schemes presented by authors. Since an analytic approach only seems to be very difficult and even impossible for this purpose, various simulations have been performed with prespecified functions and their results were analyzed. A general step following design guide was set up according to the various simulation results.

Beamforming Strategy Using Adaptive Beam Patterns and Power Control for Common Control Channel in Hierarchical Cell Structure Networks

  • Beamforming techniques have been successfully utilized for traffic channels in order to solve the interference problem. However, their use for control channels has not been sufficiently investigated. In this paper, a (semi-) centralized beamforming strategy that adaptively changes beam patterns and controls the total transmit power of cells is proposed for the performance enhancement of the common channel in hierarchical cell structure (HCS) networks. In addition, some examples of its practical implementation with low complexity are presented for two-tier HCS networks consisting of macro and pico cells. The performance of the proposed scheme has been evaluated through multi-cell system-level simulations under optimistic and pessimistic interference scenarios. The cumulative distribution function of user geometry or channel quality has been used as a performance metric since in the case of common control channel the number of outage users is more important than the sum rate. Simulation results confirm that the proposed scheme provides a significant gain compared to the random beamforming scheme as well as conventional systems that do not use the proposed algorithm. Finally, the proposed scheme can be applied simultaneously to several adjacent macro and pico cells even if it is designed primarily for the pico cell within macro cells.

  • In this paper, we propose a packet loss concealment (PLC) algorithm using pitch harmonic motion prediction and adaptive signal amplitude prediction and. The spectral motion prediction method divides the spectral motion of the previous usable frame into predetermined sub-bands to predict and restore the motion of the lost signal. In the proposed algorithm, the speech signal is classified into voiced and unvoiced sounds. In the case of voiced sounds, it is further divided into pitch harmonics using the pitch frequency to predict and restore the pitch harmonic motion of the lost frame, and for the unvoiced sound, the lost frame is restored using the spectral motion prediction method. When the continuous loss of speech frames occurs, a method of adjusting the gain using the least mean square (LMS) predictor is proposed. The performance of the proposed algorithm was evaluated through the objective evaluation method, PESQ (Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality) and was showed MOS 0.1 improvement over the conventional method.

A 5-Gb/s Continuous-Time Adaptive Equalizer (5-Gb/s 연속시간 적응형 등화기 설계)

  • In this paper, a 5Gb/s receiver with an adaptive equalizer for serial link interfaces is proposed. For effective gain control, a least-mean-square (LMS) algorithm was implemented with two internal signals of slicers instead of output node of an equalizing filter. The scheme does not affect on a bandwidth of the equalizing filter. It also can be implemented without passive filter and it saves chip area and power consumption since two internal signals of slicers have a similar DC magnitude. The proposed adaptive equalizer can compensate up to 25dB and operate in various environments, which are 15m shield-twisted pair (STP) cable for DisplayPort and FR-4 traces for backplane. This work is implemented in $0.18-{\mu}m$ 1-poly 4-metal CMOS technology and occupies $200{\times}300{\mu}m^2$. Measurement results show only 6mW small power consumption and 2Gbps operating range with fabricated chip. The equalizer is expected to satisfy up to 5Gbps operating range if stable varactor(RF) is supported by foundry process.

  • This paper investigates the design scheme of fuzzy-based adaptive controller to give adaptability for controlling nonlinear systems. For this, a nonlinear system is linearized by the several subsystems depending on the operating point or parameter changes. Then, the sub-controller is designed by linear control scheme for each subsystem and the sub-controllers are fused with each gain of sub-controllers using fuzzy rules. The proposed method is applied to an inverted pole system which has structurally instability and nonlinearity, and simulation works are shown to illustrate the effectiveness by comparison with the interpolation-based adaptive Controller.

  • In self-tuning predictive control algorithm for steam generator is presented. The control algorithm is derived by suitably modifying the generalized predictive control algorithm. The main feature of the unposed method relies on considering the measurable disturbance and a simple adaptive scheme for obtaining the controller gain when the parameters of the plant are unknown. This feature makes the proposed approach particularly appealing for water level control of steam generator when measurable disturbance is used. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, computer simulations are done for an PWR steam generator model. Simulation result show satisfactory performances against load variations and steam flow rate estimation errors. It can be also observed that the proposed algorithm exhibit better responses than a conventional PI controller.
