  • The most important of rule-base system is the knowledge base that determines the power of rule-base system. The important form of this knowledge is how to descript kinds of rules. The Rule-Base System (RBS) has been using in many field that need reflect quickly change of business rules in management system. As far, when develop the Rule-Based System, we must make a rule engine with a general language. There are three disadvantage of in this developed method. First, while there are many data that must be processed in the system, the speed of processing data will become very slow so that we cannot accept it. Second, we cannot change the current system to make it adaptive to changes of business rules as quickly as possible. Third, large data make the rule engine become very complex. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the two important methods of raising efficiency of Rule-Base System. The first method refers to using the Relational database technology to process the rules of the Rule-Base System, the second method refers to a algorithm of according to Quine McCluskey formula compress the rows of rule table. Because the expressive languages of rule are still remaining many problems, we will introduce a new expressive language, which is Rule-Base Data Model short as RBDM in this paper.

  • Recently, in organizations many decisions are being made by groups. And the organization is changing a lot so are groups. To help decision making of changing groups, we need more flexible and more adaptive GDSS. Therefore one of the critical success factors of GDSS is flexibility and incremental improvement. Prior research on specifying design requirements of GDSS suggests generic design requirements. But they are too general to be incorporated directly into system design, because of the disparity between real group and ideal group that the researchers studied. Many design strategies that start from the generic design requirements thus have contingency variables that changes as the characteristics of group change. From the viewpoint of developers, these variables implicate the desirability of flexibility. To achieve flexibility we need new methodology of design and implementation. Nowadays, object-oriented analysis and design methodologies have been progressed to the point that many systems are being developed through these methodologies. In this paper, a design is proposed using Object-Oriented Modeling Techniques(OMT). Exploiting object-oriented paradigm results in a highly flexible and easily upgradable design.

  • Long-term evolution (LTE) is emerging as a major candidate for 4G cellular networks to satisfy the increasing demands for mobile broadband services, particularly multimedia delivery. Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology combined with orthogonal frequency division multiple access and more efficient modulation/coding schemes (MCS) are key physical layer technologies in LTE networks. However, in order to fully utilize the benefits of the advances in physical layer technologies, the MIMO configuration and MCS need to be dynamically adjusted to derive the promised gains of 4G at the application level. This paper provides a performance evaluation of video traffic with variations in the physical layer transmission parameters to suit the varying channel conditions. A quantitative analysis is provided using the perceived video quality as a video quality measure (evaluated using no-reference blocking and blurring metrics), as well as transmission delay. Experiments are performed to measure the performance with changes in modulation and code rates in poor and good channel conditions. We discuss how an adaptive scheme can optimize the performance over a varying channel.

  • This study proposes a method for the recognition of emergency situation according to the bimodal information of camera image sensor and gravity sensor. This method can recognize emergency condition by mutual cooperation and compensation between sensors even when one of the sensors malfunction, the user does not carry gravity sensor, or in the place like bathroom where it is hard to acquire camera images. This paper implemented HMM(Hidden Markov Model) based learning and recognition algorithm to recognize actions such as walking, sitting on floor, sitting at sofa, lying and fainting motions. Recognition rate was enhanced when image feature vectors and gravity feature vectors are combined in learning and recognition process. Also, this method maintains high recognition rate by detecting moving object through adaptive background model even in various illumination changes.

  • Broadcast nature of wireless medium and path-loss reduction create a favourable condition for collaborative communications (CC) among single-antenna users to gain the powerful benefits of multi-antenna system without the demand for physical arrays. This paper proposes a CC strategy adapting to the propagation environment changes by optimizing the transmit signal amplification factors to simplify the structure of maximum likelihood (ML) detector and to obtain the minimum error probability as well. The closed-form BER expression was also derived and compared to the simulation results to evaluate the performance of the suggested solution. A variety of numerical results revealed the cooperation significantly outperforms non-cooperative counterpart under flat Rayleigh fading channel plus AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise).

  • The differentiated services(DiffServ) architecture provides packet level service differentiation through the simple and predefined Per-Hop Behaviors(PHBs). The Assured Forwarding(AF) PHB proposed as the assured services uses the RED-in/out(RIO) approach to ensusre the expected capacity specified by the service profile. However, the AF PHB fails to give good QoS and fairness to the TCP flows. This is because OUT(out- of-profile) packet droppings at the RIO buffer are unfair and sporadic during only network congestion while the TCP's congestion control algorithm works with a different round trip time(RTT). In this paper, we propose an Adaptive Regulating Drop(ARD) marker, as a novel dropping strategy at the ingressive edge router, to improve TCP fairness in assured services without a decrease in the link utilization. To drop packets pertinently, the ARD marker adaptively changes a Temporary Permitted Rate(TPR) for aggregate TCP flows. To reduce the excessive use of greedy TCP flows by notifying droppings of their IN packets constantly to them without a decrease in the link utilization, according to the TPR, the ARD marker performs random early fair remarking and dropping of their excessive IN packets at the aggregate flow level. Thus, the throughput of a TCP flow no more depends on only the sporadic and unfair OUT packet droppings at the RIO buffer in the core router. Then, the ARD marker regulates the packet transmission rate of each TCP flow to the contract rate by increasing TCP fairness, without a decrease in the link utilization.

  • Topology control increases channel efficiency by controlling transmission power of a node, and as a result, network lifetime and throughput are increased. However, reducing transmission range causes a network connectivity problem, especially in mobile networks. When a network loses connectivity, the network topology should be re-configured. However, topology re-configuration consumes lots of energy because every node need to collect neighbor information. As a result, network lifetime may decrease, even though topology control is being used to prolong the network lifetime. Therefore, network connectivity time needs to be increased to expend network lifetime in mobile networks. In this paper, we propose an Adaptive-Redundant Transmission Range (A-RTR) algorithm to address this need. A-RTR uses a redundant transmission range considering a node status and flexibly changes a node's transmission range after a topology control is performed.

  • The regularity effect for printed word recognition and naming depends on ambiguities between single letters (small grain-size) and their phonemic values. As a given word is repeated and becomes more familiar, letter-aggregate size (grain-size) is predicted to increase, thereby decreasing the ambiguity between spelling pattern and phonological representation and, therefore, decreasing the regularity effect. Lexical decision and naming tasks studied the effect of repetition on the regularity effect for words. The familiarity of a word from was manipulated by presenting low and high frequency words as well as by presenting half the stimuli in mixed upper- and lowercase letters (an unfamiliar form) and half in uniform case. In lexical decision, the regularity effect was initially strong for low frequency words but became null after two presentations; in naming it was also initially strong but was merely reduced (although still substantial) after three repetitions. Mixed case words were recognized and named more slowly and tended to show stronger regularity effects. The results were consistent with the primary hypothesis that familiar word forms are read faster because they are processed at a larger grain-size, which requires fewer operations to achieve lexical selection. Results are discussed in terms of a neurobiological model of word recognition based on brain imaging studies.

  • This research aims at analyzing impacts of climate change on fisheries. Climate change is an additional pressure on top of the many which fish stocks already experience. This implies that the impact of climate change must be evaluated in the context of other anthropogenic pressures, which often have a much greater and more immediate effect. Conversely, it is evident that fish stocks will be more resilient to climate impacts if the stresses due to other factors, such as over-fishing and pollution, are minimized. Improved management of fisheries and of marine ecosystems can undoubtedly play an important role in adapting to the impacts of climate change. Most of the improvements which are needed do not require new science or understanding, they require patient development of acceptable, effective, responsive social institutions and instruments for achieving adaptive management. Management advices must include complete and transparent information on risks and uncertainties which arise from data quality and from structural deficiencies in the assessment models. Well-designed and reliable monitoring of fish stocks and the marine ecosystem is essential in order to detect changes and give warning in advance of alterations in the productivity of individual species and of the structure and functioning of the ecosystem and fishery economy on which they depend.

  • The metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor(MOSFET) has undergone many changes in the last decade in response to the constant demand for increased speed, decreased power, and increased patting density. The devices are scaled down day by day. Therefore, This paper investigates how MOSFET structures influence on transport properties in according to change of channel length and bias and, observes impact ionization between the drain and the gate. This paper proposes three models, i.e., conventional MOSFET, LDD MOSFET and EPI MOSFET. The gate lengths are 0.3$\mu\textrm{m}$ 0.15$\mu\textrm{m}$, 0.075$\mu\textrm{m}$ and scaling factor is λ = 2. We have presented MOSFET's characteristics such as I-V characteristic, impart ionization, electric field, using the TCAD. We have analyzed the adaptive channel and doping influences
