취사병들의 직무에 대한 인식과 직무만족 영향 요인에 관한 연구 (Study on Awareness and Factors Influencing on Duty of Cooking Soldier)

  • This study aims to help improving the quality of military food service as identifying awareness, attitudes and satisfaction of cooking soldier on their duties and providing basic data to find out alternatives on the basis of identified data. The analysis results are described as follows. For general demographics of subjects, sergeants consisted of the highest percentage of population as 38.8% in terms of the rank. For educational background, the percentage of graduates or college students was 82.5%. For the characteristics of job performance of cooking soldier, those who studied entirely different courses from cookery and became to work as cooking soldier were 92(89.3%) of total subjects. For the question why they became to work as cooking soldier, the response that they didn't know the reason showed the highest percentage as 63.1%. Those who selected cooking soldier because they were interested in cookery were only 25.2%. And 94.2% of the population had no certificates related to cookery. With respect to awareness on training period to carry on duties as cooking soldier, 3 months were selected as the most appropriate period as 36.9%. In accordance with research on job percentage of cooking soldier, 'cleaning and washing' consisted of the highest percentage among ordinary duties as 16.8%, followed by 'cooking' as 12.3% and 'food dispensing' as 11.8%. This study suggests as follows on the basis of the results of this researches. Cooking soldier requires expertise, but the privates with short period of service are discharged from military service when they are accustomed to their duties and become experts. Accordingly, the cooking soldier system could not achieve more than its ordinary performance. Therefore, it is required to post non-commissioned officers who can serve for a long time as the special resources.

상하간 교환관계의 질의 영향요인과 결과에 관한 실증연구 : 육군 소대장과 소대원을 대상으로 (An Empirical Study on the Antecedents and Outcomes of Leader-Member Exchange Quality in the Korean Army Platoons)

  • This study examined the antecedents and outcomes of leader-member exchange (LMX) quality in the Korean Army platoons. Although a number of studies have devoted substantial attention to the application of the LMX theory in various organizational settings, there has been no effort to verify or to apply the model to a military situation. In this paper, we tried to build an integrative LMX model to apply to the Korean army. We developed, on the basis of literature review, an integrative framework describing the factors affecting the LMX quality, LMX quality outcomes and the moderators of LMX quality-outcomes. Then we collected data from the 404 lieutenant-soldier dyads. The analysis of the data showed that 1) interpersonal variables (perceived similarity and liking of soldier) and LMX quality were significantly related, 2) LMX quality and outcome variables(soldier's performance, job satisfaction, and morale) were significantly related, and 3) the relationship between LMX quality and soldier's performance were strongly significant when task challenge is high but nonsignificant when task challenge is low, while there were nonsignificant or weekly significant relationships between LMX quality and soldier's performance when task challenge is moderate. The results are basically coinciding with the previous research, except that, with the low challenge tasks, the LMX quality did not affect soldier's performance, which seems to be due to the directive leadership style of the lieutenants. The theoretical and practical implications and future research directions are discussed.

군 급식에 대한 장병들의 만족도 (Soldier Satisfaction with Military Food Service)

  • This study was performed to investigate the soldiers' preference for meals provided and their satisfaction with military food service. The average daily calorific intake was 3,976 kcal, representing an extra 467 kcal over the 3,500 kcal state as the minimum daily kcal needed for each soldier based on the manual of the Korea Ministry of Defence. The soldiers preferred Korean food to Western food. The soldiers' overall satisfaction was researched in 7 areas such as quality and hygiene. They were pleased with two facts: holiday food is provided occasionally and the food is served quickly. However, they were dissatisfied with two issues: the poor nutritional information of the food, and the low frequency of special meals. The variety of choice needs to be improved and the cooks need to be better trained. When providers plan the food time table, a sensational menu needs to be considered to satisfy the soldiers' taste. To improve the quality of military meal food, new systems aye necessary such as food schedule, nutritional goal and different systems with independent food providing for the company's involvement.

  • 본 연구는 군부대 이전을 할 때 군인과 지역주민들의 만족요소와 불만족요소가 무엇인지를 알아보고 양자가 만족하는 이전사업이 될 수 있는 대책을 국방부에 제안하려고 한다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째로 부대 이전사업에 대한 군인과 주민의 만족도에 대한 차이점은 다음과 같다. 군인(3.75)은 책임성(4.11)과 노력성을 중시하는 반면 주민(3.33)은 적정성(3.64)과 소통성을 만족도에서 가장 중요하게 생각하는 것으로 분석하였다. 둘째는 부대 이전사업에 대한 남 여별 만족도에 대한 차이점은 다음과 같다. 남자의 경우 남자 군인(3.73)은 노력성과 책임성, 주민(3.40)은 적정성과 소통성을 중시한 반면 여자의 경우 여자 군인(3.85)은 적정성과 소통성, 주민(3.30)은 책임성과 소통성에 관심이 많은 것으로 분석하였다. 셋째는 직위 직업별 만족도에 대한 차이점은 다음과 같다. 군인의 경우 부사관은 전문성과 책임성을 가장 중시하고 갈등성은 가장 적은 반면 장교는 적정성을 가장 중시하였다. 주민의 경우 축산업자는 책임성과 노력성을 중시하고 갈등성은 가장 적은 반면 소유자와 세입자, 영업자는 적정성을 상대적으로 중요시하는 것으로 분석하였다.

군조직에서 변혁적 리더십과 거래적 리더십이 직무만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on the effects of the transformational leadership and transactional leadership on job satisfaction in the military organization)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of transformational leadership on job satisfaction and to examine the effects of transactional leadership on job satisfaction. This study tried to verify the facial feedback hypothesis in causal relations of charisma, intellectual stimulation, individualized consideration, contingent reward, management by exception, job satisfaction. The self-administerd survey was undertaken against 380 respondents who soldier working in Daegu. A total of 375 responses were collected. Excluding missing data, 337 usable data were used for analysis. Results of this study are as follows. First, it is found that charisma factor is positively impact on job satisfaction. Second, it is found that individualized consideration factor is positively impact on job satisfaction. Third, it is found that contingent reward factor is positively impact on job satisfaction. Fourth, it is found that management by exception is positively impact on job satisfaction. The theoretical implication and practical implication for the army and government are discussed. The limitations are also mentioned.

군 급식 만족도가 병사 사기에 미치는 영향에 대한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Effect of Military Foodservice Satisfaction on Soldiers' Morale)

  • In recent years, interest in the welfare of soldiers is increasing. More specifically, soldiers enlisted to fulfill their military service obligations live a group life that is controlled by group life, unlike military officers selected by their will. Therefore, this study aims to verify whether there is an effect of improving the morale of soldiers by increasing the satisfaction of military service meals along with the trend of increasing morale through enhancement of soldier welfare. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, we surveyed 145 army soldiers working in the front and rear areas and used 137 valid samples for analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, both SERVQUAL (Responsiveness·Assurance, Tangibles) and Servicescape (Spatial Environment, Spatial Design) had a positive (+) effect on military meal satisfaction. Second, military service satisfaction and emotional commitment have a positive (+) effect on morale. Third, satisfaction with military meals has a positive effect on emotional commitment. This research has also shown that improvements in SERVQUAL (Responsiveness·Assurance, Tangibles) and Servicescape (Spatial Environment, Spatial Design) improve military service satisfaction and emotional engagement. Military food service SERVQUAL (Responsiveness·Assurance, Tangibles) and Servicescape (Spatial Environment, Space Design) must pay attention to increase military morale.

병영실습 훈련이 부사관과 학생들의 임관에 미치는 영향 (Army Field Training and the Affect It Has On the Commissioning of Students Who Hope to Become NCOs)

  • 육군본부와 협약체결된 부사관과 학생들은 군부대 교육환경 및 교육진행 방법을 실습하고 병영실습훈련을 통한 부사관에 대한 의식 고취와 미래 군 간부의 자긍심을 습득하고자 연 1회 병영실습훈련을 실시하고 있다. 교육의 중점으로는 안보의식과 부사관 자긍심 고취, 병 기본훈련 숙달, 군인기본자세 확립에 두고 있다. 병영훈련실습이 만족스러워야만 부사관으로 임관하고자 하는 욕구가 강해진다. 부사관과 학생들의 교육만족은 미래 부사관으로서의 목표를 명확히 해주는 것이며 교육생의 욕구와 기대에 부응한 결과가 임관으로 이어질 때 병영훈련실습에 대한 의미가 있는 것이다.

전직지원교육이 구직효능감과 심리적 안정감에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -학습몰입과 교육만족도의 매개효과를 중심으로- (A Study about the Effects of Outplacement Support Program for Discharged Soldiers on Job-seeking Efficacy and Psychological Stability -With Focus on the Mediating Effect of Learning Commitment and Program Satisfaction-)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 중장기 복무 제대군인의 원활한 사회적응을 돕기 위하여 국가보훈처에서 전직지원교육을 실시하고 있는데 실제적으로 얼마나 효과가 있었는지를 알아보기 위함이다. 전직지원교육 과정에 입교하여 수료한 323명의 제대군인을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 AMOS 7.0 으로 분석하였으며 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습동기는 학습몰입, 교육 만족도에 직접적인 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 조직지원은 교육 만족도와 심리적 안정감에 직접적인 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 주었으나 학습몰입에는 부(-)의 직접적인 유의한 영향을 주었다. 셋째, 교육프로그램은 학습몰입, 교육 만족도, 구직효능감, 심리적 안정감에 직접적인 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 주었다. 넷째, 학습몰입은 구직 효능감, 심리적 안정감에 직접적인 유의한 영향을 주지 못하였으나 교육만족도는 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 주었다. 다섯째, 교육만족도는 학습동기, 교육프로그램과 구직효능감, 심리적 안정감 간의 관계에서 부분 매개역할을 하였으나 학습몰입은 매개효과가 없었다. 연구결과를 토대로 연구의 함의와 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하고자 한다. 먼저 연구결과에서 나타난 전직지원교육이 실질적으로 제대군인에게 구직효능감과 심리적 안정감을 가져다 준 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 전직지원교육 성과에 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 교육프로그램 설계시 제대군인에게 실질적으로 도움이 되는 사회적응에 필요한 내용으로 구성을 해야 한다. 이 연구는 특정시점에서 제대군인을 대상으로 횡단적인 연구를 실시하였는데 향후에는 취업이나 창업 성공 여부를 결과변수에 추가하여 시간경과에 따른 종단적인 연구를 할 필요가 있다.

군 급식에서 배식서비스에 미치는 영향요인 (Factors Related to Foodservice Satisfaction in Military Foodservice)

  • This study was intended to investigate and analyze the satisfaction of military meals service which was recognized by air force soldiers who were familiar to the society's meals service, and to make suggestions for the analysis results. For the study, the questionnaire survey was conducted for 460 air force soldiers who performed military duties in Chungcheong area for 23 days from June 3, 2003 to June 26, 2003. Total 460 copies of questionnaire were distributed. But, among them, 431 questionnaires except 29 copies which included dishonest and untrustful answers were analyzed for the study. In terms of the soldiers' rank in demographical characteristics, 43.2% (186 respondents) of total respondents were the airman first class, and 29.7% (128 soldiers) of total respondents were the airman second class. In terms of an education level, 66.1% (285 respondents) of total respondents had the undergraduate school or higher education level. Also, in terms of the growth area, 56.8% (245 respondents) of total respondents came from large cities. Among 20 items about the military meals service, in the question of cooking soldier's kindness degree, respondents answered that they were satisfied with the cooking solders' kindness at a medial level. The survey showed the average 2.95 in this item. The satisfaction level of actions taken at the lack of foods, was 2.94 on the average. Respondents answered that the soldiers' satisfaction on the actions taken at loss of foods was in the medial level. The average was 2.94 and respondents answered that this satisfaction was in the average level. In the item of daily menu placement, the average was 3.19. respondents showed the little higher satisfaction than the average. As the result of investigating whether the castor's seasoning materials were frequently replaced, there was the satisfaction of average level with 3.00 on the average. The satisfaction level of hot foods' temperature was 3.52 on the average. Respondents answered that they were relatively satisfied with the hot foods' temperature preservation. Also, the survey indicated that the nutritional satisfaction had the most influence.

입대 동기가 육군 병사와 해병대원의 군 생활과 미래 인식에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of the Enlistment-Motivation on the South Korean Military Life)

  • 본 연구는 현역 병사들의 입대 동기가 군 생활 전반에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 육군 병사와 해병대원을 대상으로 수행되었다. 입대 동기란 군 복무를 하고자 하는 동기를 말하며, 본 연구에서는 외재적 입대 동기와 내재적 입대 동기로 나누어 측정하였다. 입대 동기에 따라 군 생활 만족도와 군 조직 이미지에 대한 평가, 그리고 군 복무 경험이 앞으로의 삶에 미칠 영향에 대한 평가가 어떻게 달라지는지 알아보았다. 그 결과 육군 병사들의 입대 동기는 외재적 동기가 더 높았으며, 해병대원들의 입대 동기는 내재적 동기가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 내재적 입대 동기수준이 높을수록 군 생활 만족도가 높고, 군 조직에 대한 이미지도 긍정적으로 형성된 것으로 나타났으며, 미래의 삶에 군 생활 경험이 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 평가한 것으로 나타났다. 반대로 외재적 입대 동기수준이 높을수록 군 조직에 대해 부정적으로 평가하고, 병영생활 스트레스 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 앞으로의 삶에 군 생활 경험이 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 평가하였다. 마지막으로, 징병제 여부에 관계없이 입대를 결정한 집단과 징병제가 아니면 군대를 오지 않을 집단을 비교한 결과 군 생활 영향 평가, 군 조직 이미지 평가, 병영 스트레스 수준에서 유의한 차이가 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 입대 전 입대 동기 유발의 중요성에 대해 논의하였다.
