  • We present facile chemical route stabilizing dispersion of carboxylated single-Walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in ZnOsol prepared by using diethanolamine as a stabilizer. The dispersion was stabilized via capping of carboxyl groups on the SWCNT surface by a titania layer. We also demonstrated that the conductivity of the films prepared P3/$TiO_2$/ZnO as enhanced by therml treatment, and the thermal stbility of the film improved hybridization with ZnO sol pristine P3, P3/$SiO_2$ and P3/$TiO_2$ hybrid films.

Enhanced Stability of Organic Photovoltaics by Additional ZnO Layers on Rippled ZnO Electron-collecting Layer using Atomic Layer Deposition

  • We fabricated organic photovoltaic (OPV) based on ZnO ripple structure on indium tin oxide as electron-collecting layers and PTB7-F20 as donor polymer. In addition, atomic layer deposition (ALD) was used for preparing additional ZnO layers on rippled ZnO. Addition of 2 nm-thick ALD-ZnO resulted in enhanced initial OPV performance and stability. Based on photoluminescence results, we suggest that ALD-ZnO layers reduced number of surface defect sites on ZnO, which can act as electron-hole recombination center of OPV, and increased resistance of ZnO towards surface defect formation.

Mg-Zn-(Mn)-Ca 합금의 미세조직 및 기계적성질 (Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of Mg-Zn-(Mn)-Ca Alloys)

  • The microstructure and tensile properties of Mg-Zn-Ca and Mg-Zn-Mn-Ca alloys have been investigated. The alloys were obtained by melting in a low carbon crucible coated with boron nitride under an Ar gas atmosphere to prevent oxidation and combustion. The Mg alloy melt was cast into the metallic mold at room temperature, and cooling part was located at the bottom of mold. The phase formed during solidification of the Mg-Zn-(Mn) alloys containing 0.5%Ca is $Ca_2Mg_6Zn_3$. The yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the alloys increased with increasing Zn content, but the ductility did not change with increasing Zn content. The addition of Mn improves the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the alloys, but the ductility did not change. Tensile fracture of the alloys revealed brittle failure, with cracking along the $Ca_2Mg_6Zn_3$ phase. The variation of stress with strain obeyed the relationship of the ${\sigma}=K{\varepsilon}^n$.

  • The semiconducting material of ZnO in II-VI group was well known as its good application for photo electronics, chemical sensors and field effect transistors due to the remarkable optical properties with wide energy band gap and great ionic reactivities. Up to now the growth of a good quality of ZnO film has been issued for better performances. Even though there were many deposition methods for making ZnO films, pulse laser deposition methods have been preferred for high crystalline films. In this report, the ZnO film was also created by pulsed laser deposition technique which also showed high crystalinity. By controlling several factors when deposited, it was investigated that the optimal condition for ZnO film formation. Mainly, oxygen partial pressures and growth temperatures were changed when ZnO films were synthesized and followed the characterization by HRXRD and AFM.

  • $AB_2X_4$((A, B)=Transition Metal, X=O, S, Se) 물질에서의 8면체 자리의 이온 거동과 4면체 자리 이온과의 상호작용에 대하여 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 4면체 자리에 비자성 이온인 Zn 이온을 치환함에 따른 자기구조의 변화를 관측하여 8면체 자리의 자기구조를 분석하고자 하였다. Cr이온의 일부를 Fe로 치환한 $[Co_{0.9}Zn_{0.1}]_A[Cr_{1.98}{^{57}Fe_{0.02}}]_BO_4$의 닐온도($T_N$는 90K로 $CoCr_{1.98}{^{57}Fe_{0.02}}O_4$ 비하여 감소하였다. 4.2 K에서의 초미세자기장값의 분석결과, 초미세자기장값의 작은 차이를 보이는 잘 분리된 2-set 형태로 나타났으며, $CoCr_{1.98}{^{57}Fe_{0.02}}O_4$의 초미세자기장값은 488, 478 kOe 인데 반하여, $Co_{0.9}Zn_{0.1}Cr_{1.98}{^{57}Fe_{0.02}}O_4$의 초미세자기장값은 $B_1=486$, $B_2=468$ kOe으로 나타났다. Zn 이온의 치환에 따라서 초미세자기장값의 변화를 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과로 인하여, Zn 이온이 x=0.1 치환된 물질의 경우, 스핀재정렬온도($T_S$)가 18K으로 감소함을 알 수 있다.

  • ZnO thick films by Sol-Gel processing were investigated electrics, optics and the sensing characteristics of CO gas. Using the znic acetate dihydrate and acetylaceton (AcAc) as a chelating agent, stable ZnO sol was synthesized. ZnO phase was crystallized through the heat-treatment at $70^{\circ}C$ for 4hrs and influenced the sensing characteristics of the electrics and CO gas by uniform particle distributions not related particle size. The samples on the alumina substrate by thick films were investigated the properties of electrics and the effect of sensing. The sensitivity was so excellent in the sample of the heat-treatment at $600^{\circ}C$ for 12hrs and good in the heat-treatment for 1hrs generally. Crystallization and volatilization of organic materials according to the change of heating treatment temperature of thick films were analyzed by TG-DTA, XRD and mirostructure of thick films were observed by SEM.

증착 중 자외광 노광에 의한 산화 아연 박막의 특성 변화 (The Effect of in situ Ultraviolet Irradiation on the Chemical Vapor Deposited ZnO Thin Films)

  • ZnO thin films have wide application areas due to its versatile properties as transparent conductors, wide-bandgap n-type semiconductors, gas sensor materials, and etc. We have performed a systematic investigation on ultraviolet-assisted CVD (chemical vapor deposition) method. Ultraviolet irradiation during the deposition of ZnO causes chemical reduction on the growing surface; which results in the reduction of the deposition rate, increase in the surface roughness, and decrease of the electrical resistivity. These effects produce larger characteristic variation with various deposition conditions in terms of surface morphology and optical/electrical properties compared to normal CVD deposited ZnO thin films. This versatile controllability of ultraviolet-assisted CVD can provide a larger processing options in the fabrication of nano-structured materials and flexible device applications.

저온 습식 공정에서의 ZnO합성을 통한 역 구조 유기태양전지 시스템 개발 (Development of inverted organic solar cell system through preparation of ZnO prepared by low temperature-wet process)

  • 본 연구에서는 ripple 구조의 ZnO 박막을 역 구조 태양전지 내에서의 전자 수집층 으로 사용하였으며, $P3HT/IC_{60}BA$와 PEDOT을 각각 active layer와 정공 수집층 으로 사용하였다. zinc acetate의 농도 조절을 통해 다양한 두께와 roughness를 갖는 ripple 구조의 ZnO를 합성할 수 있었으며, hot plate위에서의 온도 조절을 통해 저온에서의 ZnO ripple를 합성할 수 있었다. 다른 농도를 사용해 합성한 ZnO ripple들 보다 0.6M의 zinc acetate를 사용하였을 때 가장 높은 power conversion efficiency (PCE) 와 external quantum efficiency (EQE)를 보여주었다. AFM과 SEM 분석을 통해 0.6M의 zinc acetate조건에서는 표면적이 가장 넓으면서도 다른 농도를 사용 하였을 때에 비해 상대적으로 ripple의 깊이가 더 깊은 표면을 갖는 ZnO가 생성됨을 알 수 있었다. 이는 상대적으로 넓은 surface area를 갖는 ZnO ripple과 active layer 계면사이에서 보다 용이한 charge transfer가 이루어 질수 있기 때문이다.

누설전류 검출에 의한 ZnO 피뢰기의 열화진단장치 개발 (Development of a Deterioration Diagnostic Device for ZnO Arrester by Leakage Current Detection)

  • In this paper, we develope a diagnosis device for ZnO arrester by detecting the leakage current in service. To diagnose the deterioration of ZnO arrester, the device detects the total leakage current which flows between an arrester and ground, and analyzes the resistive current(third harmonic current) which is an indicator of deterioration of ZnO arrester. We use the optical cable which can transfer a detected data without a noise, also use a microprocessor for a data storage, processing, and trend analysis. Experiment are executed to verify its performance in laboratory and the results show that the diagnosis device exactly detects the total leakage current and the resistive current, so it can diagnose the deterioration of ZnO arrester. Also the leakage current of ZnO arrester is detected using the developed diagnostic device in field, these results are presented.
