  • We represent an efficient intelligent digital redesign method for a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy system Intelligent digital redesign means that an existing analog fuzzy-model-based controller converts to equivalent digital counter part in the sense of state-matching. The proposed method performs previous work, moreover, it allows re matching the states of the overall closed-loop T-S fuzzy system with the predesigned analog fuzzy-model-based controller. And the problem of stability represent convex optimization problem and cast into linear matrix inequality (LMI) framework. This method applies to the helicopter systems which are the nonlinear plant and determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we propose a method of designing the sampled-data tracking controller for nonlinear systems expressed by the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. A sufficient condition that asymptotically stabilizes the state error between the linear reference model and the T-S fuzzy model is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. To this end, error dynamics are constructed, and the exact discretization method and the Lyapunov stability theory are employed in this paper. Finally, we validate the proposed method through the simulation example.

  • This paper propose the design method of robust tracking controller for nonlinear TS fuzzy system with uncertainties. The robust tracking controller design is presented by constraint of robust stability for nonlinear system. A sufficient condition of the robust stability is presented by LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) soltuion in the sense of Lyapunov for TS fuzzy system with uncertainties. The effectiveness of the proposed robust tracking con design is demonstrated through a numerical simulatio.

  • 본 논문은 임의의 입력지연을 갖는 Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) 퍼지 시스템의 관측기 기반 출력궤환 제어 시스템을 논의한다. 설계된 연속시간 T-S 퍼지 관측기 시스템을 영차의 샘플/홀드 함수를 이용하여 이산시간 관측기를 설계한다. 이때 플랜트와 관측기의 출력에러가 제어기를 통하여 궤환되기 때문에 이산화 과정에서 발생한 에러를 보정할 수 있다. 여기에서 시스템의 제어 입력은 임의로 변화하는 유한개의 상태를 갖는 마코프 확률과정으로 표현한다. 생성된 시스템의 확률적 안정 가능성 조건은 선형 행렬 부등식의 형태로 표현한다. 이러한 결과를 2자유도 헬리콥터의 모델에 대한 모의실험을 통하여 효용성을 확인한다.

A New Modularized Balancing Circuit for Series Connected Battery cells

  • The series connected battery cells are mainly used in high voltage battery pack application. However parameter inequality of each battery cell makes battery voltage imbalance problem. In this paper, a new balancing circuit utilizing converter scheme for the series connected battery cells is proposed. Proposed circuit offers easy control and fast equalization time. Moreover the circuit can be used in a practical application because it has high modularity and can operate during the charging/discharging cycle. To show its superiorness and effectiveness, the principle of proposed circuit is explained with computer simulation and experiment is carried out using lithium-ion battery.

International Outsourcing, Unemployment and Welfare: A Re-Examination

  • This paper explores the ramifications of international outsourcing on unemployment, income distribution and welfare, which is an important but yet unresolved issue. Using the well-known Harris-Todaro (1970) model of sector-specific unemployment, it shows that the effects of outsourcing on employment, income-distribution and welfare depend on the sector in which the outsourcing occurs, whereby sectoral factor intensities, unemployment-outsourcing response and the dynamic stability condition play crucial roles. In particular, outsourcing in the manufacturing (primary) sector widens (narrows) income inequality by increasing (decreasing) the sectoral wage gap and raising (not affecting) the rental income of the capital owners in the economy. Moreover, outsourcing in the manufacturing (primary) sector can be welfare-decreasing (is always welfare-increasing) due to its negative (positive) employment effect mitigating (reinforcing) the primary gains from the outsourcing.

Moreover, the sharp bound for the fifth coefficient of f defined above with ${\gamma}$ in a subset of [${\pi}/2,{\pi}$) also will be found.

Factors Influencing Attitudes towards Youth Policy among Korean 20s and 30s (한국 2030세대의 청년정책에 대한 태도와 영향요인)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine young Koreans' welfare attitudes towards youth policy and to analyze the determinants on such attitudes. The main results are as follows. Many young people(72.1%) understand that government should be responsible for youth support and spending on youth support policy(49.5%) and job support policy(59.7%) should be expanded than current level. But only 24.1% approved the provision of youth allowance. There was a significant in-group heterogeneity among the young generation in terms of support for expanding fiscal spending for youth policy and youth allowance provision. Results from the regression analysis indicated sex, age, education level, employment status, type of housing affect attitudes towards youth policy and statistical significance of them was different according to each analytic model. Korean young adult generally perceived that our society was unequal and the higher the perception of inequality, the higher support for youth policy. These results implicates that in-group heterogeneity among youth generation in terms of socio-economic needs and subjective perception should be regarded as important factor in the youth policy making process.

Socioeconomic Inequalities in Cervical and Breast Cancer Screening among Women in Korea, 2005-2015

  • Purpose: Consistent evidence indicates that cervical and breast cancer screening rates are low among socioeconomically deprived women. This study aimed to assess trends in cervical and breast cancer screening rates and to analyze socioeconomic inequalities among Korean women from 2005 to 2015. Materials and Methods: Data from the Korean National Cancer Screening Survey, an annual nationwide cross-sectional survey, were utilized. A total of 19910 women were finally included for analysis. Inequalities in education and household income status were estimated by slope index of inequality (SII) and relative index of inequality (RII), along with calculation of annual percent changes (APCs), to show trends in cancer screening rates. Results: Cervical and breast cancer screening rates increased from 54.8% in 2005 to 65.6% in 2015 and from 37.6% in 2005 to 61.2% in 2015, respectively. APCs in breast cancer screening rates were significant among women with higher levels of household income and education status. Inequalities by household income in cervical cancer screening uptake were observed with a pooled SII estimate of 10.6% (95% CI: 8.1 to 13.2) and RII of 1.4 (95% CI: 1.3 to 1.6). Income inequalities in breast cancer screening were shown to gradually increase over time with a pooled SII of 5.9% (95% CI: 2.9 to 9.0) and RII of 1.2 (95% CI: 0.9 to 1.3). Educational inequalities appeared to diminish over the study period for both cervical and breast cancer screening. Conclusion: Our study identified significant inequalities among socioeconomically deprived women in cervical and breast cancer screening in Korea. Especially, income-related inequalities were greater than education-related inequalities, and these were constant from 2005 to 2015 for both cervical and breast cancer screening.
