The purpose of this study is to investigate the application experience and observation of young children's teachers' digital devices. The participants of this study were 6 young children teachers using digital devices. Individual interviews were conducted as a data collection method. It was conducted 2-3 times per research participant. Data collection was conducted from November to December 2020. The Data analysis was focused on the young children's teachers' digital device application experience and observation use. 'Easy and simple use', 'using existing familiar apps', 'providing healing to teachers', and 'improving the utilization of spare time' were derived as early childhood teachers' experience of applying digital devices. 'Easy use of observation records', 'Use together in various ways', 'Use for parent counseling', 'Use appropriate for observation of revised Nuri Curriculum' through early childhood teacher's experience of observing digital devices ' was derived. As a conclusion of this study, first, it is easy for young children's teachers to apply digital devices to the field. Second, if young children's teachers use digital devices, they can make a wide range of observations, enabling high-quality early childhood education practices.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mothers'play belief and their children's playtime on self-determination of young children. Methods: Participants of this study were 239 mothers of 6-year-old children attending childcare centers. An online self-report survey method was implemented to investigate whether mothers appreciate the contribution of play on their children's development, if mothers allow their children's playtime, and to examine the level of self-determination of their children. SPSS 22.0 was conducted for descriptive statistics and AMOS 21.0 was used for the path analysis to investigate the hypothetical relationship among variables. Results: Mothers' play support belief had a direct influence on their children's self-determination, while young children's playtime that was also affected by their mothers' play support belief had an indirect effect on their self-determination. Conclusion/Implications: The research shows that children's self-determination can be fostered by providing time to play when they can make decisions and demonstrate goal directed behaviors, and by providing an atmosphere that emphasizes the importance of playing in one's childhood.

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the object ability, basic movement ability, and mathematical ability of young children. Next, through this study, the influence of young children's object manipulation ability and basic movement ability on mathematical ability was investigated. The subjects of this study were 80 children aged 5 years old. As a research tool, the non-mobile movement and mobile movement, the basic movement development test scale, and the young children's picture-mathematical ability test scale were used. This survey was conducted from October 2018 to January 2019. For data analysis, correlation analysis and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were performed using the spss program. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a significant positive correlation between the non-mobile ability, movement ability, object manipulation ability and mathematical ability of young children. It was found that young children's ability to manipulate objects and non-movement abilities had positive effect on their mathematical abilities. The movement ability of young children had both negative and positive effects on mathematical ability, but it was not found to be statistically significant. This study is meaningful in that it investigated the effects of non-mobile movement, mobile movement ability, and object manipulation ability, which are sub-capabilities of basic movement ability, which had not been investigated so far, on the mathematical ability of young children.
The purpose of the study was to explore the effect of the extensive program using the story telling on young children's linguistic creativity. 20 five-year-olds and 18 four-year-olds from a day care center were selected for this study. After performing pre-test, they were divided into control and experimental group. Children's linguistic creativity was measured using 'Imagining Red' of 'Korean Comprehensive Creativity Test for Young Children' standardized by Chun(2000). 6 books were selected for the extensive program for the promotion of children's linguistic creativity was carried out to experimental group for three weeks. After three weeks, post-test was performed on experimental and control group. The results indicate that the extensive program using the storytelling had an effect on promoting young children's linguistic creativity including the sub-elements such as fluency, flexibility, and originality. As the results of experiencing the extensive program related to storytelling, the linguistic creativity of 5 year olds improved more than that of 4 year aids and that of girls improved more than that of boys. For the developing children's linguistic creativity, various extensive activities need to be programmed.
Objective: This study aimed to validate a scale which could measure the correct mediation behavior of parents for their children's smart media use. Methods: The subjects were comprised of 514 parents of 5-year-old children. The collected data were analyzed using Jasp. Results: First, in the primary validation process, a total of 19 items and five factors were extracted through exploratory factor analysis. Through secondary validation process, we found that the scale model satisfies the goodness-of-fit evaluation criteria and is valid through confirmatory factor analysis. The newly constructed parents smart media mediation scale in early childhood emerged as a valid and reliable scale. Second, it was found that the more parents pursue 'active mediation', 'instructive mediation', and 'supervision', and avoid 'co-viewing', and 'technical restrictions', the more they had a positive effect on children's smart media usage capabilities. Third, the total score of smart media mediation for young children's parents was found to significantly differentiate young children's smart media overdependence, and self-regulation. Conclusion/Implications: The final smart media mediation scale for young children's parents was composed of 19 items, with five factors: 'co-viewing', 'instructive mediation', 'technical restrictions', 'active mediation', and 'supervision'.
The purposes of the present study were to identify the stages of early concept development of the air in young Korean children and to compare the stages with those reported by Piaget. The subjects were 87 four, five, and six-year-old children from one kindergarten, two day care centers, and an elementary school, all located in Seoul. To collect the children's ideas of the air, individual interviews were conducted based on Piaget's Clinical Interview method. According to the results, the children formulated very unique concepts of the air, showing artificialism, anthropocentric finalism, animism, and dualism. Their concepts of the air showed a consistent developmental process which is very similar to the stages proposed by Piaget. This implies that young children's misconcepts and idosyncratic ideas are very natural and can not be eliminate easily by artificial instruction. This also means that children's internal ideas themselves should be the starting point of education.

The children in experimental group were asked to act four young children's music drama through sixteen weeks. The children in comparison group were involved in activity referred to in storybook. The data gained from the research were analyzed using a SPSS(p=.05) computer program. The main results in this study are as follows : First, there were partly significant differences in young children's music drama activity in terms of rating of literacy. Especially, story understanding as indicated by literacy test scores in the experimental group was significantly different. There were also significant differences in young children's music drama activity in terms of rating of musical ability and physical expression.
