A study on DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑) ChimGu Chapter(鍼灸篇) based on the NaeGyeong Chapter(內景篇) (『동의보감(東醫寶鑑)』 침구편(鍼灸篇)의 의사학적고찰(醫史學的考察) - 「내경편(內景篇)」에 나타난 침구법(鍼灸法)을 중심으로 -)

  • DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑) is Joseon's classic medical text that has great significance in the medical history of Korea. However, the context of the treatments of accupuncuret&moxibustion in the book are hardly studied. This study is for the purpose of examining the treatments of accupuncuret&moxibustion in DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑), and it starts with studying the accupuncuret&moxibustion part of DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑)'s NaeGyeong Chapter(內景篇) for starters. Through this study, the following could be known. 1. In DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑)'s NaeGyeong Chapter(內景篇), it is written that it quoted many various books, but actually, most of the parts are quoted from LouYing(樓英)'s YiXueGangMu (醫學綱目). 2. LouYing(樓英)'s YiXueGangMu(醫學綱目) is a work of the Ming Dynasty, which is when China's study of accupuncure&moxibustion was completed and many books on accupuncure&moxibustion were published. 3. However, in DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑), it mainly quotes from YiXueGangMu(醫學綱目), instead of these professional acupuncture&moxibustion texts. This is because this book is a comprehensive medical text with various medical theories, which share the same flow with DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑), and at the same time, it organized the treatments of accupuncure&moxibustion in a big scale in various ways.

Study on the Manufacturing Techniques of Metallic Ornament of Treasure 930, the Staffs of Yi Gyeong-seok (보물 제930호 이경석 지팡이에 사용된 장석의 제작기법 고찰)

  • The staff given with chair to Yi Gyeong-seok, senior official over 70 years old by King Hyeonjong of Joseon Dynasty is representative handcraft of Joseon Dynasty. Results of analysis on the metallic decoration show that the metallic ornament of the end part which is connected to the spade was made by rolling of iron plate and brass plating. The plated part is limited to the ornament of the end part connected to the spade and the plating was not applied to the spade. Brass including 20% zinc was used for the connecting part of guard while brass gilded iron was used for the spade. This suggests that the tone of the connecting part of the guard and the spade was not different for reason of visual harmonization. Potential applied plating method can be amalgam, dippping in molten brass, and brushing but the analysis result suggests that dipping in molten brass method is the most likely accepted method. The brass guard of knife was joined by tin-lead solder. Rivet used to fix the blade was made by pure iron as an optimum material which satisfies flexibility and strength.

On the Pronunciation and the Meaningful Rendering of the Oriental Medical Chinese Terminology into Korean (한의학용어(韓醫學用語)의 발음(發音)과 독음(讀音)에 대(對)하여 -두음법칙(頭音法則)과 경음화(硬音化)를 중심으로-)

  • In this paper, this writer looked into the initial law and fortification, which are two of the most important phonetic changes of Sino-Korean words. Pronunciation and inscription rules of Oriental Medical terminologies have also been studied. Moreover, several problems of meaningful rendering of Oriental Medical Chinese terminologies into Korean have been looked into. As a result, the following conclusions could be drawn. 1. The initial law only applies to Sino-Korean words that consist of more than one syllable. It does not apply to words borrowed from foreign languages. Especially, compound words like Jang-ssi-yu-gyeong(張氏類經) or Im-sin-yuk-hyeol(姙娠衄血) consist of already existing words such as Jang-ssi(張氏), Yu-gyeong(類經), Im-sin(姙娠), and Yuk-hyeol(衄血), and thus the initial law applies to these words. They are inscribed and pronounced 'Jang-ssi-yu-gyeong' and 'Im-sin-yuk-hyeol'. 2. Fortification of Sino-Korean words can be applied variously according to the structure and meaning of the words. Words such as '科', '格', '氣', '法', '病', '症', and '證' are often fortified and at the same time used frequently in Oriental Medicine. Also, many other words are derived from these words. However, there has not been a scholastic consent among the Oriental Medical society as to in which circumstances these words will be fortified. Therefore, a standardization process to stipulate the pronunciation of Oriental Medical terminologies is necessary. 3. Meaningful rendering of Oriental Medical Chinese terminologies into Korean also needs scholastic investigation. Especially, the word 兪 should be meaningfully rendered and pronounced 'su' just like the words 輸 and 腧, but is wrongly pronounced 'yu'. Other than this, the words 井滎兪經合, 秦艽, 膻中, 共振丹, 成無已, and 麗澤通氣湯 should respectively be pronounced 'jeong-hyeong-su-gyeong-hap', 'jin-gyo', 'dan-jung', 'gong-sin-dan', 'Seong-mu-yi', and 'Yi-taek-tong-gi-tang'. Moreover, there are four pronunciations to the word 梴 of 李梴. This should also be standardized. This writer proposes that in the future, correct meaningful rendering of Chinese terminologies into Korean and phonetic signs be inscribed in dictionaries regarding Oriental Medical terminologies.

Low-Noise MEMS Microphone Readout Integrated Circuit Using Positive Feedback Signal Amplification

  • A low-noise readout integrated circuit (ROIC) for a microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) microphone is presented in this paper. A positive feedback signal amplification technique is applied at the front-end of the ROIC to minimize the effect of the output buffer noise. A feedback scheme in the source follower prevents degradation of the noise performance caused by both the noise of the input reference current and the noise of the power supply. A voltage booster adopts noise filters to cut out the noise of the sensor bias voltage. The prototype ROIC achieves an input referred noise (A-weighted) of -114.2 dBV over an audio bandwidth of 20 Hz to 20 kHz with a $136{\mu}A$ current consumption. The chip is occupied with an active area of $0.35mm^2$ and a chip area of $0.54mm^2$.

Changes in the concentrations of serum haptoglobin to infection with Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae and antibiotics treatment in pigs (돼지 단독균 인공감염 및 항생제 치료에 따른 Haptoglobin치의 변화)

  • The changes of concentration of serum haptoglobin, body temperature, hematological result and antibody titers were compared in pigs given intravenously injection of E rhusiopathiae and control pigs. Pigs administered with E rhusiopathiae injections showed acute septicemia and arthritis. Also, statistically significant changes observed in the total white cell counts and body temperature. An increased haptoglobin concentration in serum was detected after E rhusiopathiae infection, but not during antibiotics treatment. The results indicated that measurement of the concentration of serum haptoglobin may be useful in the early diagnosis of infectious disease, such as Erysipelas.

Haptoglobin as an early indicator of infection in pigs (돼지에서 감염의 조기진단 지표로서의 Haptoglobin 적용에 관한 연구)

  • Sera of pigs with clinically normal and infectious conditions were analyzed by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE) to demonstrate the specific changes in protein profile. In the sera from pigs with infection, haptoglobin with a 40KDa protein was found to be increased as compared to that of sera from normal pigs. As a rapid detection method for monitoring infections at large-scale farms, one of acute phase protein, haptoglobin, was selected to compare the concentrations between infectious and non-infectious conditions. Haptoglobin concentrations were low in pigs with clinically normal conditions but significantly increased in pigs with Aujesky's disease, hog cholera and parvo-virus infection. The studies provide that haptoglobin can be used as an indicator to monitor infections early at farm level.

  • In this paper, Hwang Soon-won's "Sonagi" is considered from the aspect of literary imagination reconstructed into a fusion content of various cultures such as HD TV Literature, Animation, Movie, Musical, CF and the part which changed from the original text. In the TV literature Museum "Sonagi" he created a newly person called a 'Seok-yi' who is a young brother of a boy, a girl's mother who did not exist in the original, and developed the composition more precisely. And In the animation, the main character's dialogue is presented as a speech and it is characteristic that the theme of the work is revealed more effectively. On the other hand, the heroine in the movie says, "I do not like the ending part of the showers." Also In the musical "Sonagi", about 2 tons of water was used to give more vividness and presence to the audience. In this way, the contents of the original works are transformed according to the characteristics of the medium in the various cultural fusion contents based on novels, and thus convey the unique imagination of the director to the audience.

A study on efficacy of chitosan on bovine mastitis (젖소 유방염에 대한 키토산의 효능에 관한 연구)

  • The effects of chitosan on mastitis in lactating holstein cows were evaluated. Fifty six cows with intramammary infection(IMI) from nine farms were selected and the cows were fed with diets which contained 15~20g chitosan per day for 5~7 days. The milk samples were obtained from cows at 7 days and 14 days after administration to determine effect of the curing of mastitis and the reduction of somatic cell counts(SCC). The average value of SCC levels in quarter milk from the cows administrated with chitosan significantly decreased up to 31.8% and 47.7% at 7 and 14 days, respectively(P<0.05). The cure rates of chitosan for Stapylococcus aureus, coagulase-negative Staphylococci, Streptococci spp, other gram positive bacteria and coliforms were 30.4, 42.8, 33.3, 66.6 and 54.5 % respectively. Twenty three out of 64 cases were cured by feeding with chitosan. The results showed that administration of chitosan could reduce SCC in milk and improve cure rates of bovine mastitis caused by microorganisms. The further studies will be pursued to study on the mechanism of chitosan in the immune responses of cows with mastitis.

  • 일반적으로 청색 및 자외선 발광다이오드, 레이저 다이오드, UV 감지기 (detector)소자 등의 기술적인 중요성은 ZnO를 기반으로 하는 산화물 반도체와 함께 와이드 밴드갭 반도체 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. ZnO의 경우 밴드갭 엔지니어링을 위해 일반적으로 Cd과 Mg을 사용하고 있으며 특히, ZnO에 Mg을 첨가하여 MgZnO 화합물을 첨가할 경우 밴드갭을 3.3eV~7.8eV까지 증가 시킬 수 있고, MgZnO/ZnO 초격자 구조를 이용할 경우 자유 엑시톤 결합에너지를 100meV 이상까지 증가시킬 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 MgO는 결정구조가 rocksalt 구조를 가지는 입방정 구조이기 때문에 Hexagonal 구조를 가진 ZnO에 첨가될 경우 고용도에 큰 제한을 가지게 된다. 이와 같은 문제점으로 인하여 밴드갭 엔지니어링 기술은 여전히 해결되지 않은 문제점으로 남아 있다. 본 실험에서는 RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링 방법으로 사파이어 기판위에 MgZnO/ZnO 박막을 co-sputtering 시켰다. Targer은 ZnO(99.999%) 와 MgO (99.999%) target을 사용하였고, 스퍼터링 가스는 아르곤과 산소가스를 2:1 비율로 혼합시켜 성장하였다. MgZnO 박막을 성장하기 전 ZnO 층을 ~500 두께로 성장 시켰다. RF-power는 ZnO target을 고정 시키고, MgO targe power를 변화시켜 Mg 농도를 조절 하였다. 실험 결과 MgO target power 가 증가 할수록 반치폭이 증가하고, c-plane을 따라 격자 상수가 감소하는 것을 확인 할 수 있고, UV emission peak intensity가 감소며 단파장쪽으로 blue shift 하고, activation energy 가 증가하는 것을 관찰 할 수 있었다.
