XML/EDI는 데이터 전달에 초점을 둔 전통적인 EDI의 범위를 확대하여 전자상거래에 필요한 프레임워크(Framework)를 제공한다는 면에서 전통적인 EDI와 정의가 다르다. 기존의 EDI 서비스를 인터넷 플랫폼으로 옮겨가고 다시 Web 플랫폼으로 옮겨감으로써 EDI 서비스 사용자들은 기존의 서로 다른 EDI 전용 소프트웨어의 사용에 따른 불편함이 없어지고 통합된 환경으로 EDI 서비스를 사용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 전자상거래 시스템의 핵심 요소인 웹 기반 XML/EDI시스템의 전체적인 설계 및 구현에 대해서 기술하였다. 본 논문에서 구축한 XML/EDI 시스템은 문서 생성 모듈, 문서 저장 모듈, 문서 검색 모듈, 문서 관리 모듈, E-mail전송 모듈로 구성된다. XML/EDI 시스템의 요구사항 및 설계 목표에 대하여 소개하고, 상세한 모듈별 기능정의 및 설계사항을 기술하였으며, 구현된 시스템의 실행 과정을 설명하였다.

We propose an XML document storage system, called XDMS (XML Document Management System), by using an object-relational DBMS. XDMS generates object database schema from XML Schema and stores the XML documents in an object-relational database. SAX parser is used for understanding the structure of the XML documents, and XDMS transforms the documents into objects in the database. Experiment shows that object-relational databases provide more efficient storage and query model compared with relational databases.

In this paper, we design and implement a XML management system based on OODBMS that supports structured information retrieval of XML documents. We also propose an object oriented modeling to store and fetch XML documents, to manage image data, and to support versioning for the XML document management system(XMS). The XMS consists of a repository manager that maintains the interfaces for external application programs, a XML instance storage manager that stores XML documents in the database, a XML instance manager that fetches XML documents stored in the database, a XML index manager that creates index for the structure information and the contents of documents, and a query processor that processes various queries.

인터넷의 사용 증가로 정보의 양은 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있으며 웹 데이터의 표준인 XML의 데이터 표현의 유연성으로 인해 EDMS(Electronic Document Management System), ebXML(e-business extensible Markup Language) 등 웹 기반의 전자문서론 이용하는 시스템들은 XML를 문서 교환 방식 및 표준 문서 형식으로 도입하고 있는 실정이다. 그러므로 점차 확산되어 가고 있는 XML 문서에 대한 효율적인 문서의 관리와 검색을 위한 연구가 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 다중 문서간의 구조적 유사성을 분류하기 위하여 엘리먼트의 순서적 의미를 갖는 XML 문서를 대상으로 순차패턴을 이용하여 문서의 특성을 반영하는 대표구조를 추출하고 추출된 구조를 기반으로 유사 구조 문서를 클러스터링하는 방법을 제시한다. 이 논문의 제안 알고리즘은 클러스터의 응집도와 클러스터간의 유사도를 함께 고려하는 비용계산 방식을 이용하므로써 클러스터링의 정확도를 높일 수 있는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

XML(eXtensible Markup Language) based electronic catalog is very useful for searching target information because of its structural and contents based searching support capability. And XML document editing is easier than HTML because of XML document is divided by structure, contents and presentation. This paper is to present a prototype of XML based Electronic Catalog Management System(ECMS) whose system consists of data input, output and manipulation system for inserting, updating, editing and deletion. A proposed system could resolved the problems at virtual intermediary shopping mall invloved in the difficulty of interoperability when customer try to compare similar products at mixed shopping mall and reduced web service costs at independent shopping mall by using XML format. The proposed ECMS offers rapid response capability for product data change of electronic catalog and easy and friendly interoperability among similar products.

최근의 비즈니스 환경의 변화는 각 기업이 서로 상호작용을 빈번하게 하는 것을 요구하고 있다. 이러한 환경의 변화에서 정보시스템간의 정보교환을 원활히 하는 것을 바탕으로 통합이 주요한 키워드로 등장하고 있다. 특히, e-비즈니스와 같이 여러 기업이 상호작용하는 경우 문서의 이력과 변경과정을 체계적으로 기록하고 추적하는 것 이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 워크플로우에 의해 자동화되어 실행되는 비즈니스 프로세스의 진행과정에서 XML문서의 변경을 자동으로 찾아 기록하고 이를 효과적으로 저장하는 새로운 방법론을 제시한다. 또한 본 논문은 이를 바탕으로 프로세스의 이상상황에서 문서를 이전 상태로 회복시키는 효과적인 방법론을 제안한다. 본 논문의 유용성을 증명하기 위하여 원형시스템을 구현하였으며, 간단한 실험을 통하여 저장의 효율성을 보였다.

As Internet spreads rapidly, the industrial structure is changing to a new paradigm. The previous EDI system was asked to change and WEB EDI, E-Mail EDI, FTP EDI etc. which are based on the internet appeared. These days the XML/EDI which has XML document appeared. The XML/EDI consider advantages and disadvantages of VAN/EDI and EDI which based on the internet. Also, EDI system has to assure a safe exchange between sender and receiver. But, the internet has security problems because it uses a open TCP/IP protocol. Although there are many methods for security, it is being studied with XML concept. On this paper, we will suppose the XML/EDI system model with XML Signature, and build a procedure of electronic signature and delivery of document between sender and receiver.

As XML emerging as the Internet electronic document language standard of the next generation, the number of XML documents which contain vast amount of Information is increasing substantially through the transformation of existing documents to XML documents or the appearance of new XML documents. Consequently, XML document retrieval system becomes extremely essential for searching through a large quantity of XML documents that are storied in and managed by DBMS. In this paper we describe the design and implementation of BADA-IV/XML query processor that supports content-based, structure-based and attribute-based retrieval. We design XML query language based upon XQL (XML Query Language) of W3C and tightly-coupled with OQL (a query language for object-oriented database). XML document is stored and maintained in BADA-IV, which is an object-oriented database management system developed by ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) The storage data model is based on DOM (Document Object Model), therefore the retrieval of XML documents is executed basically using DOM tree traversal. We improve the search performance using Node ID which represents node's hierarchy information in an XML document. Assuming that DOW tree is a complete k-ary tree, we show that Node ID technique is superior to DOM tree traversal from the viewpoint of node fetch counts.

Systematic management of data related to business process, and information exchange within existing information systems or between different companies have recently become an important issue. This paper tries to solve such problems by using form based workflow system using XML(extensible Markup Language), a standard for digital document exchange. In this system, a new model that formalizes documents into XML form documents and manages them is developed. By defining and operating form documents by XML, information exchange within existing information systems such as ERP and SCM or between different companies, and interoperability between different WFMS can be easily achieved. In addition, by matching form, a formalized document, with existing database schema, WFMS can be directly applied to existing information system, thus enabling continuity of data management and business activity.

XML은 표준화와 운영체제 중립적이라는 특성 때문에 전자상거래에서 중요한 위치를 차지하며, 이미 많은 전자상거래 시스템에서 이용하고 있다. B2B 전자상거래분야를 위해서는 기업간 비즈니스에 대한 업무 규칙과 절차가 표준화되어야 한다. 그러나 기업들이 표준화 된 XML 문서를 사용하는 것이 아니라 기업의 실정에 맞게 시스템을 구축하여 기업간 XML 문서 전달을 하고 있어, 이에 따라 많은 문제점이 나타나고 있다. 이러한 요구를 기반으로 많은 조직과 기업에서는 XML을 기반으로 하는 전자상거래 표준화 작업을 프레임워크 형태로 진행하고 있다. 또한 공급사슬관리 시스템에서 기업간의 문서 전달을 온라인을 이용하기 때문에 XML 메시지를 전송 할 수 있는 메시징 시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 XML로 서비스를 요청하고 서버가 해당 서비스를 처리하는, XML 메시징 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 메시징 시스템을 이용하여 기업간의 문서를 교환하는데 좀더 효율적으로 이용할 수 있을 것이다.
