  • It was shown in the previous study that the numerically derived elastic work factor for CLS specimen was independent of fiber direction for a unidirectional case. Also, it was proposed the elastic work factor could be used to determine energy release rate from a single test record. In the present study, elastic work factor was derived from a simple beam theory to investigate its dependence on material property and geometric condition. Also, the elastic work factor of CLS specimen was applied experimentally to determine critical energy release rate in order to prove its validity determining critical energy release rate from a single specimen. For this purpose, critical energy release rate determined using the elastic work factor was compared with that determined by the compliance method. The results showed that while elastic work factor is affected by $t_2/t_1$ and $L_2/L_1$ it is independent of fiber angle for a unidirectional case. It was also found that critical energy release rates determined by both methods are comparable each other, thus elastic work factor approach can be used to determine energy release rate from a single test specimen.

  • Work factor approach is conveniently used in metal fracture mechanics to determine fracture toughness from a single fracture test. In this work, we investigated the applicability of the work factor approach in order to determine fracture toughness of thick graphite/epoxy composites in the hydrostatic pressure environment from a single fracture test. The effect of hydrostatic pressure on the elastic work factor was studied, The stacking sequence used was multi-directional, [0$^{\circ}$/${\pm}$45$^{\circ}$/90$^{\circ}$]. The hydrostatic pressures applied were 0.1 MPa, 100 MPa, 200 MPa, and 300 MPa. The results showed that the elastic work factor was not affected by the hydrostatic pressure, The elastic work factor decreased in a linear fashion with crack length.

  • The work factor approach was applied to determine $G_ {IC}$ of fiber reinforced composites (AS4/3501) from a single unidirectional (0-deg) DCB specimen. Elastic work factors of DCB specimen for three different symmetrical staking sequences were derived from a simple bending theory and a finite element method. The results showed that elastic work factors calculated from both methods were comparable each other. In particular, the elastic work factor of DCB specimen with symmetrical stacking sequence is independent of stacking sequence. The $G_ {IC}$ determined from the work factor approach was compared with that determined by the compliance method. The results showed that the work factor approach and the compliance method produce comparable results of $G_ {IC}$. Thus, $G_ {IC}$ can be determined from a single DCB specimen using the work factor approach.

  • In this paper. tile validity of work factor approach was investigated to determine compressive fracture toughness of unidirectional graphite/epoxy composites under hydrostatic pressure environment. The elastic work factor was determined under various pressures as a function of delamination length. It was found that elastic work factor was not affected by hydrostatic pressure.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a job-stress scale for librarians who work in university libraries. The study was first conducted by analyzing existing representative job-stress scales that are used domestically and internationally. To understand the characteristic of particular job stress that academic librarians have, the in-depth interview among qualitative research methods was selected, and 15 librarians who work at a 4-year system university libraries participated in this study. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, the reliability and validity were verified. To analyze the validity, exploratory factor analysis was carried out. To extract factors, principal component analysis was used. To extract factors, principal component analysis was used. For the rotation method, a varimax rotation was applied. A tertiary measurement tool with a total of 46 questions for 11 factors was developed after removing measurement questions that were rejected as a result of the analysis. As a result of factor analysis on the tertiary measurement tool, 11 factors were extracted. Those 11 factors include 'peer relation conflict factor(factor 1)', 'superior-subordinate relation conflict factor (factor 2)', 'work compensation evaluation factor(factor 3)', 'emotional labor factor(factor 4)', 'physical environmental factor(factor 5)', 'employment stability(factor 6)', 'job demand factor(psychological) (factor 7)', 'decision-making and responsibility factor(factor 8)', 'work complexity factor(factor 9)', 'work boundary conflict factor(factor 10)', and 'job demand factor(physical)(factor 11)'.

  • Compliance calibration method is frequently used to determine $G_IC$ from the DCB composite specimen. However, the method requires at least 4 to 5 fracture test (loading-unloading) records. In this study, $G_IC$ of unidirectional graphite/epoxy DCB composites was determined from the elastic work factor approach which uses a single fracture test record. In order to inspect the validity of the elastic work factor approach, $G_IC$ determined from the elastic work factor approach was compared to that of determined from the compliance calibration method. It was shown that $G_IC$ determined from the elastic work factor approach was comparable to that determined from the compliance calibration method. That is, the elastic work factor approach can be used to determine $G_IC$ of unidirectional graphite/epoxy DCB specimen from a single fracture record.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the first social work values scale in Korea. Its development would be expected to increase empirical studies on social work values. Based upon the literature review of social work values, the examination of codes of ethics as well as existing scales, and the comments from professionals in this field, 62 preliminary items were developed. Preliminary items were evaluated with a total of 521 social workers who were working in various fields of social work in Seoul and surrounding areas. A series of exploratory factor analyses were conducted to find out the optimal structure of the scale. After deleting 29 items with low factor loadings or being cross-loaded, the scale is composed of three factors with each factor having 11 items. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the factor structure of the scale obtained by exploratory factor analysis. The first factor was named autonomy, the second factor was named equality, and third factor was named paternalistic intervention. Each component of the social work values scale is found to be reliable and valid.

  • This study investigated the effect of a coaching system(CS) on the employee's job satisfaction(JS) between the food service industry conducting and not conducting CS. A total of 342 employees were enrolled and the results were as follow. Firstly, relationship and willingness factors directly affected JS. Indirectly, work and relationship factors affected JS through the willingness factors. Secondly, when JS was compared at the service company conducting CS with that not conducting CS, work and relationship factors directly affected JS in the industry conducting CS, but only the relationship factor indirectly affected JS in the company not conducting CS. In addition, at the food service industry conducting CS, work factor affected willingness and competence factors, and therefore JS was affected indirectly, but relationship factor did not affect the willingness and competence factors. However, in the company not conducting CS, willingness only affected JS indirectly. Work factors directly affected JS, but through competence and willingness factors, work factor indirectly affected JS in the industry conducting CS. In the company not conducting CS, the relationship factor between employees affected the JS. In summary, CS increased JS through its direct effect on the work factor and indirect effect on the willingness and competence factors. Studies about CS are insufficient and CS remains in the introductory stage now, so further studies are necessary.

  • In recent years, accident induced by human error is increasing in the chemical plant. Human error analysis of the chemical plant was conducted on the basis of past accident. Some company called by A for the basis of a chemical accident. Factor analysis of human errors was separated in plant operation and work. Agency's work of occupational safety & health was classified into four types. It is based on the work before, during work, recovery work, and discontinue work. It was still separated work of human error by analysis and then was derived factor and issue. The human error factor and priority for accident prevention in the chemical plant is presented.

  • In order to conduct construction projects effectively, the work delay factors would be managed by planned construction schedules. As construction works are delayed ceaselessly, the solution is to select and manage the key factors which delay the work ceaselessly. The subjects of this study were an apartment houses of reinforced concrete structure. Hidden work delay factor were extracted, the surveys were conducted and occurrence, severity and detection of each factor were analyzed. With this result, final orders of priority were fixed and key management factors were deducted and presented.
