An Efficient Mobility Support Scheme based Multi-hop ARP in Wireless Mesh Networks (무선메쉬 네트워크 환경에서 다중홉 ARP 기반의 효율적인 이동성 지원)

  • In this paper, interoperability in heterogeneous wireless mesh network, and mesh nodes for providing efficient IP mobility technique offers multi-hop ARP. Heterogeneous wireless mesh networks to MANETs based on a wireless mesh network backbone and non-MANET architecture is based on a client wireless mesh network and the two mobile networks, combined with a hybrid wireless mesh network are separate. In two different hybrid wireless mesh network routing protocols used to connect the two protocols in the protocol conversion at the gateway to parallel processing problems seriously overload occurs. All of the network reliability and stability are factors that reduce. Therefore, for efficient integration with L3 routing protocols, design techniques to build ARP multi-hop go through the experiment to increase the number of mesh nodes, the packet forwarding rate and an increased hop number of the node was to ensure reliability and stability.

  • TETRA(Terrestrial Trunked Radio) is the standard of D-TRS(Digital Trunked Radio System) developed by the ETSI(European Telecommunications Standards Institute). Currently, TETRA has been selected as Electric Power IT Wireless Backbone Network. Traditional distribution automation system has used the wireless network of Mobile Service Provider using CDMA(Code-Division Multiple Access) and WCDMA(Wideband CDMA) modem. Therefore, the development of gateway platform is indispensable according to the change to TETRA network. In this paper, we propose an embedded Linux-based Gateway platform for transmitting Industrial Electric Power IT protocol using TETRA network.

  • This paper presents an optimization approach to the configuration of train radio communication network for CBTC. The target specifications of CBTC communication systems are derived from technical requirements for CBTC. The proposed communication system has a ring-topology backbone communication network between stations and a radio network based on IEEE 802.11b wireless tan between trains and wayside devices. The proposed method has been applied to the standardization of the signalling system of urban transits.

  • Because sensor networks use wireless communication, they are vulnerable to attacks which are more difficult launch in the wired domain. Many wired networks benefit from their inherent physical security properties. It is unlikely that an adversary will dig up the Internet backbone and splice into the line. However, wireless communications are difficult to protect; they are by nature a broadcast medium. In a broadcast medium, adversaries can easily eavesdrop on, intercept, inject, and alter transmitted data. In addition, adversaries are not restricted to using sensor network hardware. We have analyzed the IEEE 802.15.4, ZigBee specification which includes a number of security provisions and options. In this paper, we highlight places where USN security considerations and home network attack scenarios.

Communication Protocol to Support Mobile Sinks by Multi-hop Clusters in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 멀티-홉 클러스터를 통한 이동 싱크 지원 통신 프로토콜)

  • In wireless sensor networks(WSNs), the studies that support sink mobility without global position information exploit a Backbone-based Virtual Infrastructure (BVI) which considers one-hop clusters and a backbone-based tree. Since the clusters of a sink and a source node are connected via flooding into the infrastructure, it causes high routing cost. Although the network could reduce the number of clusters via multi-level clusters, if the source nodes exist at nearest clusters from the cluster attached by the sink and they are in different branches of the tree, the data should be delivered via detour paths on the tree. Therefore, to reduce the number of clusters, we propose a novel multi-hop cluster based communication protocol supporting sink mobility without global position information. We exploit a rendezvous cluster head for sink location service and data dissemination but the proposed protocol effectively reduces data detour via comparing cluster hops from the source. Simulation shows that the proposed protocol is superior to the existing protocols in terms of the data delivery hop counts.

Design of QoS Supporting Mechanism using Openflow Protocol in Wireless Mesh Network Environments (무선 매시 네트워크 환경에서 오픈플로우 프로토콜을 이용한 QoS 지원 기법 설계)

  • Wireless mesh networks contain multi-hop routing protocols between wireless nodes and are connected to the Internet through a gateway. These networks perform a role as a backbone and are scalable for main applications. We propose the design of QoS supporting mechanisms for wireless mesh networks using software defined networking. Our proposed scheme is cost-effective and features adaptive QoS mechanisms for wireless router's resource constraints. The QoS mechanisms use software defined networking technology with Openflow protocol based on diffserv and intserv models with MPLS mechanism and RSVP respectively. A performance evaluation model is suggested to verify the validity of the proposed scheme using several QoSmetrics of the wireless mesh networks.

  • As a backbone network, wireless mesh network (WMN) aims to provide reliable high throughput network connectivity to wireless users. Recent research has focused on routing and channel allocation to increase the capacity of wireless mesh backbones. Wireless mesh networking is an attractive solution for home, community, and enterprise networks as it is a self-configuring, instantly deployable, and lowcost networking system. In this paper, we empirically evaluate and analyze charateristic of WMN to establish WMN testbed by measurement. We use laptops and net4826 Soekris board widely used. Soekris boards are equipped with one network interface card (NIC) or above in our measurements. We also use paket generator, routing demon tools and so on. Throughout this measurements, we show limitation of Soekris board and software we use, and suggest guideline to establish WMN.

  • D-TRS is a method of wireless communication. This method will be able to use several frequency for multiple user used chanel together. TETRA of D-TRS technology is not rented network. Using TETRA network has the strong point which cost better than CDMA network of rental network. Master server of SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system is realtime supervise control and a data acquire the control system or the RTU(Remote Terminal Unit). The present paper is developed and proposal the gateway platform for electronic power backbone network based on D-TRS. This gateway platform is converted DNP3.0 messages with TETRA PDU and converted TETRA PDU with DNP3.0 messages. Master server and FRTU will be able to send and receive DNP3.0 message via TETRA network using this gateway platform.

DLMS SCADA System based on TETRA (TETRA 기반 DLMS 원방감시 시스템)

  • TETRA(TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) is wireless communication system generally adopted to public network and backbone network, as the technology of Trunked Radio System specified by ETSI(European Telecommunications Standards Institute) and currently adopted to the Electric Power IT Backbone Network in Korea. DLMS(Device Language Message Specification) is used in order to meter an electric measuring instrument value. In this paper, DLMS Server and Client simulator are used based on Window operating system. The multi-functional gateway, which transforms the communications based on RS-232C between DLMS Server Simulator and Client Simulator to the one based on TETRA PEI(Peripheral Equipment Interface), is developed such that DLMS SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system is constructed based on TETRA.

IEC 61850 is the protocol proposed for SAS(Substation Automation System) of SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system. In this paper, IEC 61850 Server and Client simulator are used based on Linux operating system. The multi-functional gateway, which transforms the communication based on TCP/IP between IEC 61850 Server Simulator and Client Simulator to the one based on TETRA Packet Data Service, is developed such that IEC 61850 SCADA system is constructed based on TETRA.
