The subjects consisted of 198 students in Korea. The data were collected using a self-report questionnaire from September 10 to 12, 2013. The data were analyzed by frequency, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation using SPSS for Windows version 22. The SNS addiction tendency was significantly negatively correlated with self-assertiveness(r=-.148, p<.05) and significantly positively correlated with interpersonal problems (r=.434, p<.001). Self-assertiveness was significantly negatively correlated with interpersonal problems (r=-.459, p<.001). The higher the SNS addiction tendency, the lower the self-assertiveness and the higher the interpersonal problems. The lower the self-assertiveness, the higher the interpersonal problems. Therefore, to decrease the SNS addiction tendency, increase the self-assertiveness and decrease the interpersonal problems, it is necessary to develop and test program.

  • This study examines the relationships among ego resilience, empathic ability, and interpersonal relationship ability in nursing students. Data were collected through a self-reported questionnaire from November 2 to December 11, 2015. The subjects consisted of 299 nursing students who were selected using a convenience sampling method. Stepwise multiple regression revealed that ego resilience (${\beta}=.488$, p<.001) and empathic ability (${\beta}=.378$, p<.001) were significant predictors and accounted for 47.2% of interpersonal relationship ability. It is meaningful that ego resilience affects interpersonal relationship ability. Therefore, ego resilience and empathic ability need to be increased by efficient management and intervention to facilitate interpersonal relationship ability in nursing students.

  • This study examined the effects of favorite music therapy on the anxiety and vital signs at each point in gynecologic surgery using the general anesthesia. The research design was a non-equivalent control group non-synchronized design. The data were collected from May 1 to July 30, 2013 and the participants were 44 patients (experimental group, 21, control group, 23) received music therapy while waiting for anesthetic induction and PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit). Repeated measures ANOVA was performed to analyze the data by SPSS 18.0. Music therapy reduced the anxiety level at inducing the anesthetic time, and awakening time (p=.003; p=.011). The systolic blood pressure maintained stability at discharge from the PACU (p=.023), and pulse rate was stable at the awakening time (p=.016). This findings support the use of music as a nursing intervention to reduce anxiety and maintain the vital signs for gynecologic surgery patients under general anesthesia.

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of simulation integrated with problem based learning in terms of critical thinking, problem solving, learning motivation according to Myers-Briggs type indicator(MBTI) personality type in advanced nursing course students. This study was a non-equivalent control posttest only design. Students were all enrolled in advanced nursing course which included 1) 6 weeks problem based learning 2) 5 weeks simulation integrated with PBL and debriefing. Total 19 students' data were collected and analyzed on SPSS win 21.0. The results showed students who have out patients working experience were significantly higher learning motivation(${\chi}^2=9.85$, p=.044), no experienced simulation were significantly higher critical thinking(${\chi}^2=4.44$, p=.035) and as temperament of MBTI, NT types were significantly higher on critical thinking(${\chi}^2=8.53$, p=.036). Students show various personality types and it might be impact on attitudes of learning and the results. Thus we need to understand their diversity and consider it to apply teaching methods on nursing education.
