중량 및 높이변화에 따른 쐐기형 구조물 주위의 슬래밍 충격에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Slamming impact around Wedged type structure in accordance with the Weight and Height of the change)

  • 슬래밍은 선체가 파도와 부딪히며 선수, 선미에서 강한 충격압력을 받아 급격한 진동이 발생되는 현상이다. 이러한 슬래밍은 사람에게는 승선감의 불쾌감을 주고, 선체에는 구조적인 위험을 주며 화물의 안전과도 깊은 관계가 있다. 따라서 선박 설계기준에는 슬래밍에 의한 충격압력을 충분히 고려한 구조설계를 해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 자유낙하 하는 쐐기형 구조물의 중량 및 낙하높이의 변화에 따른 슬래밍 충격 압력 및 유동장의 유동특성을 알아보고자 실험을 수행하였다. 유동장의 계측은 2-프레임 그레이레벨 상호상관 PIV기법을 이용해 접수와 이수로 구분하여 실험하였으며, 충격압력의 계측은 압력계측장비인 Dewetron System을 이용하였다. 실험에서 모델과 자유수면간 이루는 각도는 $15^{\circ}$를 적용하였으며 이때, 중량의 변화는 1.5, 1.8 및 2.0kg이고 자유낙하높이는 100, 200 및 300mm로 하여 실험하였다. 실험값을 통한 중량의 변화에 따른 충격압력은 중량의 증가하는 것에 비례하여 충격압력 또한 증가했으며, 이러한 경향은 자유낙하 높이가 높을수록 영향을 많이 받았다.

Development of Expert System for Tower Cranes

  • The paper is concerned with application to develop the expert system, which structural analysis and design process for tower cranes. The system is organized into three groups. One is pre-processor for creating input data files, another is `model former' which combines knowledge-base with inference engine for automatic generating structural analysis models, a third is application group for final analysis checks. In this study, geometric subroutine of `model former' designates node positions, nodes, elements numbers and element types. Load data subroutine computes weight of tower crane and device, slewing force, cargo load, wind force form rules or equations in knowledge-base. Also, Property and boundary subroutine applies element properties and boundary conditions to suitable elements and nodes. Design and analysis expert system for tower crane integrates these subroutine, `model former' and pre-processor. RBR(Rule-Base Reasoning) was adopted for a reasoning strategy of this expert system. And this expert system can produce structural analysis model and data, which can be used in ordinary structural analysis program (SAP, ADINA or NASTRAN, etc.). In this paper, this expert system produces format of the analysis model data, which are used in MSC/NASTRAN. The main discussions included in the paper are introduction of the tower crane and structural analysis, composition of the design expert system for tower crane and structural analysis using the expert system.

노동강도 제거 및 양끝정렬 균일화를 위한 양끝절단포장적재시스템 개발 (The package loading equipment development cutting both ends in the process of packaging lumber for improving the working environments)

  • The package loading process of the lumbering industry is an operation that after a pair of workers bind three or six lumbers into one unit and cut both ends of the lumbers, transports the weight cargo of 30-50kg by one meter, pack and load at a height of 1.2 meters. This package loading process causes lots of noise and wood dust when workers carry out the heavy work as the above. Therefore we developed the monolithic both ends cutting package loading equipment in order to prevent from getting musculoskeletal disease. An loading bar working system of this equipment is improved from pneumatic pressure system to oil pressure system, furnished the newly designed flow dividers, and developed the new system that a both end array is loaded identically. Also we developed the safety equipment of loading bar in order to prevent workers mistake and overload from malfunction during the package loading process. The main cause of job evasion on working place could be solved by preventing the musculoskeletal disease and improving the working environments.

평판화차에 사용되는 3축 대차의 구조 안전성 평가 (Evaluation of Structural Integrity of Three-axle Bogie Frame used in Railway Freight Cars)

  • This study evaluated the design and structural integrity of a three-axle bogie frame in a railway freight car through a numerical analysis and an experimental evaluation. A three-axle bogie frame, which supports the weight of the car body and load, is required to transport heavier cargo because two-axle vehicles have structural limitations. Therefore, this study performed a structural analysis and static load tests to evaluate the design and structural integrity of a three-axle bogie frame. The results obtained from the numerical analysis were compared to those of the experiments. For the bogie frame used in the experiments, a failure evaluation was performed using non-destructive methods. The numerical analysis and experimental evaluation were satisfactory for the structural integrity evaluation.

한국형 저비용 저고도 공중보급 체계용 낙하산 전개 특성 풍동시험 (Wind Tunnel Test for the Inflation Characteristics of the Korean Low Cost Low Altitude Aerial Delivery System)

  • A wind tunnel test for the scaled parachute models was performed to verify aerodynamic characteristics for practical usage of Korean low cost low altitude aerial delivery system. The cruciform shaped cargo parachute models for heavy and light weight were ejected into wind tunnel test section; and the drag forces acting on the models in steady condition were measured in accordance with velocity. Also, the maximum opening forces during inflation were obtained and captured by a high speed camera to analyze the inflation characteristics and evaluate the design of the low cost aerial delivery system. The results showed a reliable stability and met the design requirement of delivery operation system for R.O.K Air Force.

  • 수중 암반 제거 방법은 화약을 사용한 수중발파와 크레인에 장착된 쇄암봉 낙하 충격을 이용하는 방법 등이 널리 이용된다. 이와 같은 암반 제거 방법은 환경적인 요인에서 지반 진동과 수중 소음을 유발하게 된다. 본 연구 대상 현장은 하역 부두의 접안능력을 향상시키기 위해 기 설치된 잔교식 돌핀 구조물에 근접한 지역의 수중 기반암을 쇄암봉 낙하에 의해 제거하도록 설계되어 있다. 시험시공을 통하여 쇄암봉 낙하 충격으로 유발되는 진동에 대한 계측, 평가를 거쳐 진동 추정식을 획득하였고, 이를 본 공사에 반영하여 구조물에 대한 안전성을 확보하였다.

Improved Mechanical and Durability Properties of PVC Sheet by Designing Three-Layered Structures

  • A three-layered PVC sheet consisting of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and woven polyester fabric was prepared by extrusion and calendering. The flexibility and durability of the PVC were tuned by adding plasticizers, additives, and surface coatings. The tensile and tear strengths of the three-layered PVC sheet were higher than those of commercial two-layered sheet, while exhibiting low weight. The concentrations of the total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) and formaldehyde (HCHO) emitted from the sheet were also lowered. The PVC sheet remained stable after prolonged exposure to UV light, signifying that the PVC sheet is suitable for cargo screen applications.

A Study on the Correlation Analysis of the Present Status of Turbo Pumps Installed in Ships

  • Now days, various types of ships are operated to transport both cargo and passengers all around the world. Most of the important auxiliary machinery installed in those ships is fluid machinery such as pumps, compressors, and fans. A large percentage of fluid machinery is pumps which are classified as turbo and positive displacement pumps. This paper analyzes only turbo pumps out of the two types. This thesis has two aims: (a) to analyze the present status of pumps installed in merchant and training ships and (b) to find the correlation among sea going pump kW, port pump kW, GE kW, ME MCR, number of pumps, ME kgf, pump kgf. Based on the ship's type, my paper seeks to find special characteristics as a result of analyzing head, flow rate, and kW. Moreover this paper analyzes and compares number of pumps, rpm of pumps, pump kW/ME MCR and pump kW/GE kW under the conditions of seagoing and berthing according to the ship's type. In conclusion, (1) For the exact comparison, information on the head, kW, flow rate, number of pumps by ship's type, the pump installation status of the Merchant Ships and Training Ships were tabulated and compared in this paper. (2) In order to qualify one ship as the delegate ship, several methods were used. The result of the examination indicates that the chosen ships could be justified as a suitable representation of ships of their own type. (3) The correlation of several values(total pump kW, port pump kW, GE kW, seagoing pump kW, pump weight, ME weight, ME MCR, number of pumps and ME kW) could be obtained.

  • LMTT(Linear Motor based Transfer Technology)는 크게 제어 부, 셔틀 카, 레일로 구성되며, 항만의 자동화를 위한 컨테이너 부두에서 사용되는 새로운 형태의 이송장치이다. 셔틀카는 다시 프레임 부, 구동 부, 휠로 나뉜다. 이 장치를 설계하기 위하여 각 부품에 대한 다양한 연구가 수행되어져야 한다. 이 논문에서는 가로 보가 프레임의 강도에 미치는 영향에 대한 이전의 연구로부터 기초 설계된 프레임에 대해 항만설계기준을 만족하면서 셔틀카의 무게를 최소화할 수 있는 프레임의 치수 최적설계를 수행하였다. 최적화를 위해 설계변수로 프레임 각 부재의 두께를, 목적함수로 프레임의 무게를, 제약조건으로 설계기준 응력과 처짐을 설정하였다.
