The Analysis and Implication of Link Integrity of Korean Public Institution Website from a Web Usability Perspective (웹 사용성 관점에서 공공기관 웹 사이트의 링크 유효성 분석 및 개선 과제)

  • Web usability is utilized as a standard for constructing and managing website to be useful by people of all abilities and disabilities. Link integrity is one of main criteria for web usability evaluation. Links that are found to be broken or pointing to irrelevant information lead gradual degradation of link integrity over time. This study has conducted investigation for link integrity of Korean public institution website. Among 49 website that are accessible by an automatic link checker software, 91.8% of the website has more than one broken links. Also average number of broken links is 50.5 that is 0.33% of the number of links. 29 websites consist of internal broken links. And 22 website do not provide any information on the missing page. Broken links enlower website confidence by reducing web usability as well as they prohibit web search engine not to provide information on the website. Therefore, web developers and managers need to be aware of importance of link integrity and prohibit web usability degradation by performing link validation as a web management task or periodically.

  • An anonymous encrypted communication networks that make it difficult to identify the trace of a user's access by passing through several virtual computers and/or networks, such as Tor, provides user and data privacy in the process of Internet communications. However, when it comes to abuse for inappropriate purposes, such as sharing of illegal contents, arms trade, etc. through such anonymous encrypted communication networks, it is difficult to detect and take appropriate countermeasures. In this paper, by extending the website fingerprinting technique that can identify access to a specific site even in anonymous encrypted communication, a method for specifying and classifying service types of websites for not only well-known sites but also unknown sites is proposed. This approach can be used to identify hidden sites that can be used for malicious purposes.

  • New types of attacks that mainly compromise the public, portal and financial websites for the purpose of economic profit or national confusion are being emerged and evolved. In addition, in case of 'drive by download' attack, if a host just visits the compromised websites, then the host is infected by a malware. Website falsification detection system is one of the most powerful solutions to cope with such cyber threats that try to attack the websites. Many domestic CERTs including NCSC (National Cyber Security Center) that carry out security monitoring and response service deploy it into the target organizations. However, the existing techniques for the website falsification detection system have practical problems in that their time complexity is high and the detection accuracy is not high. In this paper, we propose website falsification detection system based on image and code analysis for improving the performance of the security monitoring and response service in CERTs. The proposed system focuses on improvement of the accuracy as well as the rapidity in detecting falsification of the target websites.

  • An icon which is used in website as a role of a mark is an important device, what is called, to find the contents The users get satisfied with their internet surfing when visualization of icon has exactly the right content. Therefore, visualization of contents - performing more fast and more convenient functions in searching a right content which a user want - becomes much more important. In this study, we researched the expressive ways of con indicating the common contents in the website, we divided into a visible and an invisible content, analysed the cases in symbolic situation and finally suggested the most appropriate method of visualization in each type.

Website Accessibility Evaluation of the Welfare Centers for the Disabled (장애인복지관의 웹 접근성 평가)

  • The Korean disabled is about 5% of the population and most of them utilize welfare centers for the disabled. The disabled have difficulties in using the welfare centers' website since many centers do not comply with the website accessibility guidelines. This paper has compared, evaluated and provided the analytical results of the observance of the website accessibility guidelines of the welfare centers for the disabled in Korean, the U.S. and Japanese. The results indicated that there are many social welfare centers which do not abide by the laws even though the welfare centers for the disabled should comply with the website accessibility guidelines as required by the Law of Prohibiting Discrimination and Right of Remedy for the Disabled in 2008. In particular, Korean welfare centers for the disabled observing the website accessibility guidelines is significantly low of 78.77% to be compared with the U.S. by 85.50% and Japanese by 86.00%. This paper will provide theoretical basis for research on evaluation of website accessibility in the future and contribute to the public awareness on the social welfare of the disabled by suggesting the future direction of website accessibility evaluation on the welfare centers which are closely linked to the everyday life of the disabled.

  • This study, for the purpose of comparing and analyzing 23ea of national unisex apparel brands website consists of product, price, promotion and place divided by marketin gmix. Based of theoretical study and pre-research about the marketing mix, we made the classification standard for the marketing mix and analyzed the unisex apparel brand website according to 4P's individual item and the result was appeared like this. First of all, in the product section, this study provide information about product introduction/guidance, a product figure for item, introduction for new items, propose for coordination and brand introduction/information. Secondly, in the price part, almost apparel brands are provide their product's image, or present their goods photo with price, or displayed through the banner advertisement of discount or special price. Thirdly, For the marketing promotion part, compare to the other component in the most of apparel brand's website, marketing promotion has more section than the other marketing mix. And, especially, various events and customer service space has more weight than the others. Forth, in the place section, it's focused on the information of shopping mall location, contact number, address, and on-line shopping mall. In Conclusion, when the most of apparel brands are doing internet marketing, they're concern to product and promotion, but price and place needs more supplement in the unisex apparel brand's marketing mix.

  • To show the analytic approach to website sue, this paper discusses style's function that is immediately related to users emotional and aesthetic satisfaction. And we make an analysis of several websites based on various visual factors. Style provides emotion, a shared experience, context that makes the message arts function immediately apparent, and interests. It is a principle design feature that parallels cognitive function. Visual factors of website interface could be extracted from various aspects which are organization level, medial level, and formative level. Based on the extracted visual factors, we analyze the style which convey emotional idea. We select several sites which are opposite side in the image map with son-hard and warm-cool axis, and then make an analysis of them in two points which are organization and formative factors and communication means for emotional effect. To understand the systematic approach to website style could be helpful for figuring out the design problems and bringing out many solutions. It could be base for concrete guideline for website page design.

한국 기업 웹사이트(website)활용에 관한 연구 : 상장기업을 대상으로

  • 인터넷 웹 기능의 빠른 확산은 기업의 웹사이트 활용을 가속화하고 있다. 기업은 웹사이트를 활용하여 다양한 경영 기능을 부분적으로 수행할 수 있으며 전자상거래 시장 규모의 확대는 웹의 전략적 활용을 현실적으로 만들고 있다. 이와 같은 상황에서 한국의 상장기업을 대상으로 웹사이트 활용 목적과 구성요소를 살펴보았다. 조사대상 기업 776개중 약 45%가 웹사이트를 운영하고 있었으며 현재는 일반 홍보와 광고목적으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 이러한 국내 웹사이트 조사결과와 외국 유사연구결과를 비교하여 앞으로의 문제점을 제시하고 있다.

  • 학습자 중심이라는 큰 장점을 가지고 급속도로 발전해 가는 온라인 교육의 세계적인 흐름에서 어린이 영어 교육사이트에 있어 어린이들에게 흥미를 높여주고 동기를 유발시키며, 추상적인 언어를 살아있게 해 주며, 적은 용량으로 애니메이션을 표현할 수 있는 플래시 애니메이션 활용의 필요성을 알아보았고, 기존 영어교육사이트의 플래시 애니메이션을 분석해 본 결과. 작업이 제대로 이루어지지 않아 동영상으로 보여줄 수 있는 상황의 이해, 학습동기 유발, 집중력 향상 등의 학습효과를 기대하기 어렵다. 사용자에 대한 많은 연구와 플래시 애니메이션의 적극적인 활용과 개선을 통해 어린이를 위한 온라인 영어 교육이 충분히 제 역할을 다 할 수 있는 계기가 되리라 기대한다.

  • The BWS (broadcast website) data broadcasting service for terrestrial DMB (digital multimedia broadcasting) has a great advantage that it can provide a website like service through broadcast without web traffic to a plurality of receiving terminals. However, the value of BWS has not been recognized due to the development of mobile communication technology and changes in the environment, where mobile web services through smart devices such as smart phones and pads are common. Recently, various hybrid service technologies provided through hybrid broadcasting, a fusion of broadcasting and communications, have been developed. In this paper, we propose a scalable BWS dividing the hierarchy of BWS into transmission layers and present its application for hybrid DMB data broadcasting services.
