When small organizations construct and operate Knowledge Management System (KMS), there exists inefficiency in employee participation and system usage. In recent years, web itself is evolving into web 2.0. And It is crucial to utilize web 2.0 characteristics into KMS. The problems in the original version of KMS(KMS 1.0) is as follows. KMS is separated from Offline and electronic work processing systems. Even information in the electronic work processing system cannot be accessed by employees of other divisions in the same organization. Now web 2.0 environment provides more enhanced user participation and information sharing. It also reinforces KMS 1.0 into KMS 2.0. Small organizations should take advantage of web 2.0 environment and construct the better version KMS of its own with low-cost and high-efficiency.

With the rapid advance of internet service and the corresponding migration of service environment from the text-based one to WWW (World Wide Web) environment, the number of internet users is growing rapidly due to its easy usage. Accordingly, usage of internet as services for sending electronic mails to the other patry over the network is becoming increasingly prevalent. Web-based electronic mailing system is comprised of a server and a client The former provides the users with e-mail accounts and services, while the latter serves as a user interface. In other words, it enales those public users who dos not own e-mail accounts on the existing mail server to have an access to hte mailing service through the web. In this paper, we designed a effective web-based electronic mailing system which is based on the internet explorer and linux operating system, which overcomes limitations of the existing e-mail systes and this facilitates the development of a stable e-mail system by being able to avoiding the low system performance due to the bursty characteristics of e-mail messages and the increasing number of users.

An increasing number of people in their lifes have used personal web-casting services as a new type of broadcasting, whose power has grown in the broadcasting market and industry. Nevertheless, limited research concerning personal web-casting has been conducted so far. This research explored consumption structures of personal web-casting users in terms of their genre usage based on the theoretical concept of genre repertoire. And it also examined what determinants have influences on these structures by focusing on as an representative case in South Korea. The findings showed that sensation seeking, motivation for getting information and social presence affect genre repertoire of personal web-casting users. They also indicated that there is a moderating effect of social presence in the relationship between motivation for joy and genre repertoire.

The exponential growth of information on the web far exceeds the capacity of present day information retrieval systems and search engines, making information integration on the web difficult. In order to overcome this, semantic web technologies were proposed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to achieve a higher degree of automation and precision in information retrieval systems. Semantic web, with its promise to deliver machine understanding to the traditional web, has attracted a significant amount of research from academia as well as from industries. Semantic web is an extension of the current web in which data can be shared and reused across the internet. RDF and ontology are two essential components of the semantic web architecture which support a common framework for data storage and representation of data semantics, respectively. Ontologies being the backbone of semantic web applications, it is more relevant to study various approaches in their application, usage, and integration into web services. In this article, an effort has been made to review the research work being undertaken in the area of design and development of ontology supported information systems. This paper also briefly explains the emerging semantic web technologies and standards.

Recently, with the development of the ICT environment, the use of the software is growing rapidly. And the number of the web server software used with a variety of users is also growing. However, There are also various damage cases increased due to a software security vulnerability as software usage is increasing. Especially web shell hacking which abuses software vulnerabilities accounts for a very high percentage. These web server environment damage can induce primary damage such like homepage modification for malware spreading and secondary damage such like privacy. Source code weaknesses checking system is needed during software development stage and operation stage in real-time to prevent software vulnerabilities. Also the system which can detect and determine web shell from checked code in real time is needed. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the system improving security for web server by detecting web shell attacks which are invisible to existing detection method such as Firewall, IDS/IPS, Web Firewall, Anti-Virus, etc. while satisfying existing secure coding guidelines from development stage to operation stage.

Although population of the elderly is increasing rapidly, the older adults are the least users of the Internet in Korea. Prior research suggests that older adults are physically and psychologically disadvantaged when using the Internet. With the existence of the digital divide over different age groups, the objectives of this study were to identify the current status of Internet usage of Korean adults and to suggest some alternatives for solving digital divide on Internet usage. A total of 654 Korean adults, including the elderly, participated in both on-line and off-line (on-site interview) surveys using structured questionnaires. The results of statistical analyses indicated that the gap between the percentages of Internet users in younger and older groups was significantly wide, though many older adults had strong interests of Internet. To reduce this gap on digital divide, with an appropriate help from family and government, several characteristics of the elderly should be considered in designing some age-related web sites. Some effective alternatives suggested in this study may be used as basic data for universal design of Internet-oriented software.

Recommender systems are a personalized information filtering technology to help customers find the products they would like to purchase. Collaborative filtering (CF) has been known to be the most successful recommendation technology. However its widespread use in e-commerce has exposed two research issues, sparsity and scalability. In this paper, we propose several hybrid recommender procedures based on web usage mining, clustering techniques and collaborative filtering to address these issues. Experimental evaluation of suggested procedures on real e-commerce data shows interesting relation between characteristics of procedures and diverse situations.

According to the rapid increasement of web usage, an appropriate model which supports systematically the web-based application-to-application interactions and the approach which can integrate the new distributed computing platform and the existing environments have been investigated. The web services has emerged as the solution to these needs. This paper describes the background of the emergence of the web services and the definition and characteristics of web services. Then, after explaining the operation mechanism of web services, the core techniques which are essential to implement the web services and the implementation cases are examined. Lastly, the future of web services has been mentioned.

Web mining techniques are often used to discover useful patterns from data log generated by Web servers for the purpose of web usage analysis. Yet traditional Web mining techniques do not reflect sufficiently sequential properties of Web log data. To address such weakness, we introduce a framework for analyzing Web access log data by using process mining techniques. To illustrate the proposed framework, we show the analysis of Web access log in a campus information system based on the framework and discuss the implication of the analysis result.

현재 수많은 웹사이트들이 웹상에 존재하며 서비스를 하고 있다. 사용자는 여러 웹사이트 중에서 접속하기 편하고 잘 구성된 웹사이트에 접속하기 마련이므로, 잘 구성된 웹사이트 운영은 그 웹사이트의 생존 전략이며 방문자 유지에 필수적이다. 이를 위해 사용자들이 웹사이트에 접속한 기록이 남아 있는 웹서버 로그데이터(이하 웹 로그파일)를 분석하여 사용자들의 브라우징 패턴과 접속 경향, 웹 서버의 에러발생 정보 등을 파악할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 Web Usage Mining 과 Web Structure Mining 작업으로 로그파일 분석과 웹사이트 구조분석을 수행하여 페이지들의 연관 관계와 웹사이트의 구조 정보를 발견해서 웹사이트의 구조를 개선하는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.
