Application of Market Basket Analysis to Personalized advertisements on Internet Storefront (인터넷 상점에서 개인화 광고를 위한 장바구니 분석 기법의 활용)

  • Customization and personalization services are considered as a critical success factor to be a successful Internet store or web service provider. As a representative personalization technique, personalized recommendation techniques are studied and commercialized to suggest products or services to a customer of Internet storefronts based on demographics of the customer or based on an analysis of the past purchasing behavior of the customer. The underlining theories of recommendation techniques are statistics, data mining, artificial intelligence, and/or rule-based matching. In the rule-based approach for personalized recommendation, marketing rules for personalization are usually collected from marketing experts and are used to inference with customers data. however, it is difficult to extract marketing rules from marketing experts, and also difficult to validate and to maintain the constructed knowledge base. In this paper, we proposed a marketing rule extraction technique for personalized recommendation on Internet storefronts using market basket analysis technique, a well-known data mining technique. Using marketing basket analysis technique, marketing rules for cross sales are extracted, and are used to provide personalized advertisement selection when a customer visits in an Internet store. An experiment has been performed to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed approach comparing with preference scoring approach and random selection.

  • As the demand for kiosks increases, more users complain of discomfort. Accordingly, a kiosk that enables easy menu selection and order by producing a voice-based interactive service is produced and provided in the form of a web. It implements voice functions based on the Annyang API and SpeechSynthesis API, and understands the user's intention through Dialogflow. And discuss how to implement this process based on Rest API. In addition, the recommendation system is applied based on collaborative filtering to improve the low consumer accessibility of existing kiosks, and to prevent infection caused by droplets during the use of voice recognition services, it provides the ability to check the wearing of masks before using the service.

  • As of 2020, about 500 hours of videos are uploaded to YouTube, a representative online video platform, per minute. As the number of users acquiring information through various uploaded videos is increasing, online video platforms are making efforts to provide better recommendation services. The currently used recommendation service recommends videos to users based on the user's viewing history, which is not a good way to recommend videos that deal with specific purposes and interests, such as educational videos. The recent recommendation system utilizes not only the user's viewing history but also the content features of the item. In this paper, we extract the content features of educational video for educational video recommendation based on YouTube, design a recommendation system using it, and implement it as a web application. By examining the satisfaction of users, recommendataion performance and convenience performance are shown as 85.36% and 87.80%.

  • As rapid progress of population aging and strong interest in health, the demand for new healthcare service is increasing. Until now healthcare service has provided post treatment by face-to-face manner. But according to related researches, proactive treatment is resulted to be more effective for preventing diseases. Particularly, the existing healthcare services have limitations in preventing and managing metabolic syndrome such a lifestyle disease, because the cause of metabolic syndrome is related to life habit. As the advent of ubiquitous technology, patients with the metabolic syndrome can improve life habit such as poor eating habits and physical inactivity without the constraints of time and space through u-healthcare service. Therefore, lots of researches for u-healthcare service focus on providing the personalized healthcare service for preventing and managing metabolic syndrome. For example, Kim et al.(2010) have proposed a healthcare model for providing the customized calories and rates of nutrition factors by analyzing the user's preference in foods. Lee et al.(2010) have suggested the customized diet recommendation service considering the basic information, vital signs, family history of diseases and food preferences to prevent and manage coronary heart disease. And, Kim and Han(2004) have demonstrated that the web-based nutrition counseling has effects on food intake and lipids of patients with hyperlipidemia. However, the existing researches for u-healthcare service focus on providing the predefined one-way u-healthcare service. Thus, users have a tendency to easily lose interest in improving life habit. To solve such a problem of u-healthcare service, this research suggests a u-healthcare recommender system which is based on collaborative filtering principle and social network. This research follows the principle of collaborative filtering, but preserves local networks (consisting of small group of similar neighbors) for target users to recommend context aware healthcare services. Our research is consisted of the following five steps. In the first step, user profile is created using the usage history data for improvement in life habit. And then, a set of users known as neighbors is formed by the degree of similarity between the users, which is calculated by Pearson correlation coefficient. In the second step, the target user obtains service information from his/her neighbors. In the third step, recommendation list of top-N service is generated for the target user. Making the list, we use the multi-filtering based on user's psychological context information and body mass index (BMI) information for the detailed recommendation. In the fourth step, the personal information, which is the history of the usage service, is updated when the target user uses the recommended service. In the final step, a social network is reformed to continually provide qualified recommendation. For example, the neighbors may be excluded from the social network if the target user doesn't like the recommendation list received from them. That is, this step updates each user's neighbors locally, so maintains the updated local neighbors always to give context aware recommendation in real time. The characteristics of our research as follows. First, we develop the u-healthcare recommender system for improving life habit such as poor eating habits and physical inactivity. Second, the proposed recommender system uses autonomous collaboration, which enables users to prevent dropping and not to lose user's interest in improving life habit. Third, the reformation of the social network is automated to maintain the quality of recommendation. Finally, this research has implemented a mobile prototype system using JAVA and Microsoft Access2007 to recommend the prescribed foods and exercises for chronic disease prevention, which are provided by A university medical center. This research intends to prevent diseases such as chronic illnesses and to improve user's lifestyle through providing context aware and personalized food and exercise services with the help of similar users'experience and knowledge. We expect that the user of this system can improve their life habit with the help of handheld mobile smart phone, because it uses autonomous collaboration to arouse interest in healthcare.

  • Search engines provide web documents that are related to user's query. However, using only the query terms that user provided, it is hard for search engines to know user's exact intention and provide the very matching web documents. To remedy this problem, search systems are needed to exploit personalized search technologies. In this paper, we propose not only a novel personalized query recommendation scheme based on folksonomy but also a new personalized search service architecture which reduces the risk of privacy violation while enabling search service providers to provide other various personalized services such as personalized advertisement.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new web-based PR video making service system. Many video editing tools have required tough editing skill or scenario planning stage for a just simple PR video making. Some users may prefer a simple and fast way than sophisticated and complex functionality. To solve this problem, it is important to provide easy user interface and intelligent classification and recommendation scheme. Therefore, we propose a new template classification and recommendation scheme using a topic modeling method. The proposed scheme has the big advantage of being able to handle the unstructured meta data as well as structured one.

  • With the development of next IT convergence technology and the construction of infrastructure for personalized healthcare services, the importance of services based on user's preference is being spotlighted. Healthcare service have been progressed as treatment and management for specific diseases and dietary nutrition managements to customers according to the increase in chronic patients. In this paper, we proposed the personalized dietary nutrition contents recommendation using the hybrid filtering for managing health. The proposed method uses the hybrid filtering through combining the collaborative filtering and the image filtering in order to reinforce the special trend that recommendation provides similar contents. We developed the Web application for this purpose, and experimented with it to verify the logical validity and effectiveness. Accordingly, the satisfaction and the quality of services will be improved the healthcare by recommending the dietary nutrition contents. This evaluation found that the difference of satisfaction by service was statistically meaningful and showed high satisfaction.

  • 기업이 제공하는 데이터와 서비스들은 분산된 환경에서 독립적으로 관리됨으로써 데이터 공유 및 통합에 있어서 어려움이 있다. 분산 이기종 간의 시스템 통합과 데이터 통합을 공유함으로써 편리함과 효율성을 증가시키고 이런 환경에서 가맹점의 특성에 맞는 지능적 추천을 할 수 있는 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스 기반의 분산 이기종 환경에서 B2B e-Marketplace 시스템에서 가맹정들의 사이트를 수정 없이 통합하는 시스템과 가맹점 특성에 맞는 상품 추천과 더 나아가 온톨로지를 적응하며 공급 수요량을 예측하는 추천 방법을 제안한다.

  • 인터넷의 활용범위는 정보의 검색 및 수집을 넘어서 여러 범위로 확대되고 있고 점보의 양 또한 방대해 졌다. 그러나 필요한 정보를 찾기는 더욱 어려워지고 있고, 그에 따라 개인에게 맞는 정보를 제공해주는 시스템이 절실해지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 웹 서비스 기반 위에 추론엔진을 사용하여 사용자에게 가장 적합한 상품을 검색하여 추천해주는 추천 시스템의 모델을 제시하고 있다. 웹 서비스 기반 위에 시스템을 구축함으로써 표준 웹서비스의 가능성을 엿보고, 복잡한 논리적 추론을 추론엔진을 사용함으로써 효율성을 증가시키고 있다.

Implementation of a Chatbot Application for Restaurant recommendation using Statistical Word Comparison Method (통계적 단어 대조를 이용한 음식점 추천 챗봇 애플리케이션 구현)

  • A chatbot is an important area of mobile service, which understands informal data of a user as a conversational form and provides a customized service information for user. However, there is still a lack of a service way to fully understand the user's natural language typed query dialogue. Therefore, in this paper, we extract meaningful words, such a region, a food category, and a restaurant name from user's dialogue sentences for recommending a restaurant. and by comparing the extracted words against the contents of the knowledge database that is built from the hashtag for recommending a restaurant in SNS, and provides user target information having statistically much the word-similarity. In order to evaluate the performance of the restaurant recommendation chatbot system implemented in this paper, we measured the accessibility of various user query information by constructing a web-based mobile environment. As a results by comparing a previous similar system, our chabot is reduced by 37.2% and 73.3% with respect to the touch-count and the cutaway-count respectively.
