k-Bitmap Clustering Method for XML Data based on Relational DBMS (관계형 DBMS 기반의 XML 데이터를 위한 k-비트맵 클러스터링 기법)

  • Use of XML data has been increased with growth of Web 2.0 environment. XML is recognized its advantages by using based technology of RSS or ATOM for transferring information from blogs and news feed. Bitmap clustering is a method to keep index in main memory based on Relational DBMS, and which performed better than the other XML indexing methods during the evaluation. Existing method generates too many clusters, and it causes deterioration of result of searching quality. This paper proposes k-Bitmap clustering method that can generate user defined k clusters to solve above-mentioned problem. The proposed method also keeps additional inverted index for searching excluded terms from representative bits of k-Bitmap. We performed evaluation and the result shows that the users can control the number of clusters. Also our method has high recall value in single term search, and it guarantees the searching result includes all related documents for its query with keeping two indices.

  • This study is about development of technology for electronic government of S. Korea with cloud computing analysed by the application of scenario planning. As a society of knowledge and information has been developed rapidly, because of changing from web environment to ubiquitous environment, a lot of countries across the world as well as S. Korea for e-Government have a variety of changes with cloud computing service. So this research focused on the strategy consulting of e-Government of S. Korea with development of cloud computing technology analysed by the application of 'scenario planning' as a foresight method. As a result, the future policy for development of cloud computing technology for electronic government of S. Korea is to further spur the development of technology for hard ware and internet data center as SLA(Service Level Agreement) and service provisioning, more improvement of level of technology with soft ware solution as resource virtualization, open API(Application Programming Interface).

Monitoring System for the Elderly Living Alone Using the RaspberryPi Sensor (라즈베리파이 센서를 활용한 독거노인 모니터링 시스템)

  • In 2017, Korea has reached 1.3 million elderly people living alone. The government is promoting the basic care service for the elderly by using care workers to check the security of the elderly living alone. However, due to lack of service personnel and service usage rate of elderly care workers, it is difficult to manage. To improve these environmental constraints, this study attempted to construct a monitoring system for elderly people living alone by using sensors such as temperature, humidity, motion detection, and gas leak detection. The sensor periodically collects the current status data of the elderly and sends them to the server, creates a real time graph based on the data, and monitors it through the web. In the monitoring process, when the sensor is out of the range of the specified value, it sends a warning text message to the guardian to inform the current situation, and is designed and implemented so as to support the safety life of the elderly living alone.

The Relationships of Website Quality, e-Satisfaction, e-Trust, and e-Loyalty in Low-Cost Carriers (저비용 항공사의 웹사이트 품질, e-만족, e-신뢰, e-충성도 간의 구조적 관계 연구)

  • The A low-cost carriers(LCC)' website represents their public face to the world. Futhermore, distribution through their own websites is generally regarded as the being most cost effective for airlines The Internet website has become an effective marketing vehicle for low-cost carriers(LCC). The objective of this study was to examine theoretical relationship of website quality, e-satisfaction, e-trust, and e-loyalty to the low-cost carriers' website. The study sample included respondents who had visited any LCC websites in the last 12 months. Data were collected by conducting a web-based survey to maintain respondents' anonymity and overcome time and place constraints. From the 334 usable data obtained, hypotheses are tested using structural equation modeling. The results indicate that website quality, e-satisfaction, and e-trust are antecedents of e-loyalty in loyalty relationships between passengers and low-cost carriers' websites. Website quality positively influences e-satisfaction, e-trust while e-satisfaction. However, contrary to our expectation, e-satisfaction has a negative effect on e-trust. Managerial implications are provided following presentation of the findings.

Effects of Lumbar Mobilization for Lower Limb Strength in Healthy Individuals: A Protocol for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

  • Background: The effect of mobilization on lumbar back pain has been fully described in several clinical aspects, but evidence for muscle strength would be still less clear. Objective: To assess the effect of lumbar mobilization on lower limb strength in healthy individuals. Methods and Analysis: Healthy people aged 18-65 will be included regardless of race or sex. Original peer-reviewed primary reporting randomized controlled trials (RCTs) will be included. Electronic databases, such as MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Web of Science, Pedro, CINAHL, ClinicalTrials.gov will be searched from inception until July 30. Only studies published in English will be included in this review. Two reviewers will complete the screening for eligibility independently, and the other two reviewers will also complete the risks of data extraction and bias assessment independently. Lower Limb strength will be assessed as primary outcome, and particular intervention or participant characteristics will be assessed as the secondary outcomes. Meta-analysis will be conducted using Review Manager 5.3.3, and evidence level will be assessed using the method for Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation. Outcomes will be presented as the weighted mean difference or standardized mean difference with 95% CI. If I2 ≤ 50%, P>.1, the fixed effect model will be used, otherwise, random-effects model will be used. Ethics and dissemination: This review might not be necessary ethical approval because it does not require individual patient's data; these findings will be published in conference presentations or peer-reviewed journal articles. An Empirical Study of Customer's Repeat Visit Frequency on the Internet (인터넷 이용자들의 웹사이트 재방문 빈도에 관한 실증적 연구)

  • This study explores whether a NBD type of model can be applied to characterize the underlying frequency distribution of online consumer's visit behavior. In this study, the following two research questions are addressed: (1) How can we characterize the underlying distribution pattern(s) of the number of repeat i i visits to a site? (2) How can consumer's Internet usages and his/her demographics affect the average number of visits to the site? Through the empirical investigation, this study found that NBD models are directly applicable to characterize the underlying distribution of visit frequency on the Internet. Furthermore, this study addresses some managerial implications for understanding how site visits are determined. Especially this study highlights the relationship between repeated visits and the visitors' Internet Usages and demographics. The proposed models are estimated and validated by online panel data that covers more than 1000 different sites and has 800,000 observations.

Comparison of Online Shopping Mall BEST 100 using Exploratory Data Analysis (탐색적 자료 분석(EDA) 기법을 활용한 국내 11개 대표 온라인 쇼핑몰 BEST 100 비교)

  • Since the beginning of the first online shopping mall, BEST 100 is being provided as the core of all shopping mall websites. BEST 100 is greatly important because consumers can identify popular products at a glance. However, there are only studies using sales outcome indicators, and prior studies using BEST 100 are insignificant. Therefore, this study selected 11 online shopping malls and compared their main characteristics. As a research method, exploratory data analysis technique (EDA) was used by crawling the BEST 100 components of each shopping mall website, such as product name, price, and free shipping check. As a result, the total average price of 11 shopping malls was 72,891.41 won. Sales texts were classified into 8 categories by text mining. The most common category was the fashion part, but it is significant that the setting of the category analyzed the marketing text, not the product attribute. This study has implications for understanding the current online market flow and suggesting future directions by using EDA.

  • As the recent advances in network and wireless communications and semiconductor design and process technologies, our computing platform is rapidly shifting from desktop PCs to mobile devices such as UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC), Tablet PC, and Smartphone. Especially, wide-spreading Smartphones allow a new field of application based on location based services available with an user interface called augmented reality (AR). Therefore, this paper introduces an implementation of AR using various OpenAPls on Android Smartphones. In order to utilize enrich user data in real time, the system integrates with location based social network services also with OpenAPI. These APIs enable third-party developers to make use of rich contents of many portal web sites. The prototype was implemented on the real Android phone, Sky Sirius, and the result shows that it can provide an efficient location based service using AR technology without any constraints on mobile devices; in addition, it connects SNS to AR for sharing user data including photos, videos, and messages based on a specific location.

  • In this paper, a very new web-based software for renewable energy system (RES) design and economic evaluation was introduced. This solution would provide the precise RES estimation service including not only photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine (WT) and fuel cell (FC) individually but also energy storage system (ESS) as combined forms with PV or WT. The three reasons why we ought to develop it are: First, the standardized tool suitable to the domestic environment for estimating power generation from RES facilities and economic evaluation is required. Secondly, the standardized tool is needed to spread domestic RES supply policy and to promote the new industry in the micro-grid field. The last, the reliability of economic evaluation should be enhanced more for new facilities. To achieve those aims, the weather database of one hundred locations have established and the RES facility database has also constructed. For the energy management, mathematical models for PV, WT, ESS and FC were developed. As a final phase, the analytical process to evaluate economics has performed with field data verification.

The Relation between Health Behavior and Asthma : Comparison of Male and Female Adolescents (청소년의 건강행태와 천식 진단과의 융합적 관련성: 성별 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between health behaviors and asthma among male and female adolescents. The data were derived from the 12th Korea youth risk behavior web-based survey 2016 in Korea. The subjects were 65,528 Korean adolescents. The diagnosis rate of asthma in male adolescents was 10.3% and the diagnosis rate of asthma in female adolescents was 7.8%. In male adolescent, health behaviors that related to diagnosis of asthma were drinking (OR=1.087), second-hand smoke exposure (OR=1.087), non-vigorous physical activity (OR=1.084), obesity (OR=1.291), insufficient sleep time (OR=1.113), and stress (OR=1.257). In female adolescents, health behaviors related to asthma were smoking (OR=1.242), second-hand smoke exposure (OR=1.111), vigorous physical activity (OR=0.899), obesity (OR=1.178), and stress (OR=1.251). The results of this study will be used as basic data to develop a health promotion program of asthma youth according to gender.
