A Study of Visualization Scheme of Sensing Data Based Location on Maps (지도에서 위치 기반의 센싱 데이터 가시화 방안 연구)

  • Recently, OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) take the lead in SWE(Sensor Web Enablement) research that collection various context information from sensor networks and show it on map by web. OGC SWE WG(Working Group) defines a standard encoding about realtime spatiotemporal appear geographical feature, sensing data and support web services. This paper proposes a visualization scheme of sensing data based location on 2D maps. We show realtime sensing data on moving node that mapping GPS data on map. First, we present an algorithm and procedure that location information change to position of maps for visualization sensing data based on 2D maps. For verifying that algorithm and scheme, we design and implement a program that collecting GPS data and sensing data, and displaying application on 2D maps. Therefore we confirm effective visualization on maps based on web which realtime image and sensing data collected from sensor network.

  • Many attempts have been made to track the web usage patterns and provide suggestions that might help web operators get the information they need. These tracking mechanisms rely on mining web log files for usage patterns. The purpose of this study is to verify a web agent prototype that was built for mining web log files. The web agent for this paper was made by Java and ASP and the agent came into being as part of a cookie for a short-term data storage. For long-term data storage, the agent used a My-SQL as a Data Base. This agent system could inform that if the data comes from the web data mining agent, it could be a rapid information providing method rather than the case of data coming into a data mining tool. Therefore, the developed tool in this study will be helpful as a new kind of decision making system and expert system.

A Study on the Application of Web Database for Healthy City Wonju (건강도시 웹데이터베이스 활용방안 연구: 원주시 사례)

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce the web database for healthy city Wonju that contains healthy city indicators and materials. It has provided diverse information to public officers who are working on healthy city projects and citizens for monitoring and evaluating the projects, effectively. The web database was made on 2006 and was updated on 2009. The new Web database system was designed for supporting that the staffs of healthy city can manage all data update by themselves. The new Web database encompasses more recent information about health city projects. After identifying users' needs and reasons for modifying the fields of data, we added new indicators to the Web database. Some redundant indicators were deleted based on users' requests. The Web database quality evaluations were performed by using 13 quality evaluations constructs. Through all 13 constructs, less than 20% of study subjects felt that it did not satisfy their needs or expectations. Well developed and verified contents of the Web database for healthy city are very essential and important. The database makes healthy city projects alive by managing and sharing healthy city related data and indicators effectively.

Web Information Extraction and Multidimensional Analysis Using XML (XML을 이용한 웹 정보 추출 및 다차원 분석)

  • For analyzing a huge amount of web pages available in the Internet, we need to extract the encoded information in web pages. In this paper, we propose a method to extract and convert web information from web pages into XML documents for multidimensional analysis. For extracting information from web pages, we propose two languages: one for describing web information extraction rules based on the object-oriented model, and another for describing regular expressions of HTML tag patterns to search for target information. For multidimensional analysis on XML documents, we propose a method for constructing an XML warehouse and various XML cubes from it like the way we do for relational data. Finally, we show the validness of our method through the application to US patent web pages.

  • In this paper, we propose a web crawler service method for collecting information efficiently about college students and job-seeker's external activities, competition, and scholarship. The proposed web crawler service uses Jsoup tree analysis and Json format data transmission method to avoid problems of duplicated crawling while crawling at high speed. After collecting relevant information for 24 hours, we were able to confirm that the web crawler service is running with an accuracy of 100%. It is expected that the web crawler service can be applied to various web sites in the future to improve the web crawler service.

  • Objective: Data exchange, interoperability, and access as a service in healthcare information management systems (HIMS) is the basic need to provision health-services. Data existing in various HIMS not only differ in the basic underlying structure but also in data processing systems. Data interoperability can only be achieved when following a common structure or standard which is shareable such as semantics based structures. We propose web-enabler: A Hadoop MapReduce based distributed approach to transform the existing huge variety data in variety formats to a conformed and flexible ontological format that enables easy access to data, sharing, and providing various healthcare services. Results: For proof of concept, we present a case study of general patient record in conventional system to be enabled for analysis on the web by transforming to semantics based structure. Conclusion: This work achieves transformation of stale as well as future data to be web-enabled and easily available for analytics in healthcare systems.

  • SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is applied to develop a web based monitoring system for manufacturing processes. SNMP agents in manufacturing facilities collects monitoring data from machine controllers and send them to a web-server to be stored in a database by an SNMP managing agent. Clients can access these data using any web-browser. This study developed these agents and MIB (Management Information Base), a protocol to represent the status of machines, that can be used appropriately to monitor manufacturing processes.

  • In this paper, we propose a design methodology of RESTful SOAP-based web services which try to solve extensibility problem of SOAP-based Web service by adopting REST concept into SOAP. And, we apply the proposed RESTful SOAP-based web services design methodology in constructing slip data processing web services, compare it with simple SOAP-based slip data web services, and try to propose a model for building Web Services in the future. REST is a model about architecture type of web distributed computing , the biggest distributed application in the world. In REST, identification of resources are made by URI, states(resources) are represented by document described by XML and transferred through HTTP our proposed RESTful SOAP-based web services are expected to contribute to constructing useful world wide web services which are essential in building E-Commerce society.
