Mixed-mode (or multi-mode) surveys and (volunteer) web panels were recently introduced as ways to cope with changes in the social survey environment, which is going through a rapid and massive transformation. The direction, speed, and magnitude of these changes have been clear in Korea, too. Enumerated in Figure 1 are the social surveys between 1960 and 2010 archived by the Korean Social Science Data Archive (KOSSDA) 2. The left panel shows the exponential growth in the overall volume. The other two panels, more importantly, show the changes in the composition. Mixed-mode and online surveys are rapidly increasing their shares and are fast becoming de facto standards in Korea, as in many other countries.

인터넷 급속한 발전은 사용자들에게 웹을 통해서 다양한 설문조사를 하는 서비스를 제공한다. 일반 사용자가 웹을 통한 설문지 작성하기 위해서는 웹에 대한 많은 비용과 시간이 필요하고, 전문지식까지 요구된다. 사용자들은 사용하기 편하고 이해하기 쉬운 프로그램을 원하기 때문에 시각 프로그래밍 기법을 이용하는 WYSIWYG 방식의 저작도구가 필요하다. 시각 프로그래밍 기법은 프로그램에 대해서 구체적으로 표현하기 때문에 사용자가 프로그램을 이해하기와 배우기 쉽다. 본 논문에서는 설문지 저작도구로서 시각 프로그래밍기법을 이용한 WAST(Web Survey Authoring Tool)를 구현하였다. WAST는 설문지를 작성할 때 편의성과 신속성을 제공하여 설문지 작성의 효율성을 높이는 설문지 저작도구이다.

The main concept of this thesis is to research about how to express the interface element of the virtual museum on tile cyber space and how to evaluate its organization. In addition, the basis of this thesis is to help people build their efficient spaces on the current virtual museum. My understanding about the interface element and its structural evaluation is grounded on Usability evaluation and Syntax thesis. For the survey, I utilize two different methods. One is regular questionnaire; the other is heuristic evaluation which is derived from empirical study and practical experience. The survey is mainly composed of contents, design, usability and overall impression. The main concept of this research is to establish the initial foundation of the virtual museum on cyber space by suggesting an objective evolutional norm including esthetic orientation.

We have developed a Web-based intensity map generation system. We describe here briefly our system that is automatically generating seismic intensity map using the informations afforded by Internet users who actually experience recent earthquake. Whenever internet survey questionnaires, reported from the citizens using the form available through our Web site, are received, the associated ZIP code region is color-coded according to the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale. As the number of questionnaires is increased, the intensity value of each region divided by ZIP code is averaged and updated automatically. The coverage of acceleration stations is insufficient to map the accurate extent of ground shaking in Korea. So our system will serve as an alternative for much more rapid generation of intensity map than conventional method, such as mailing intensity survey or elaborate manual processing.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the risk factors for addiction-related behaviors among Korean adolescents. Methods: The study's subjects were 60,040 middle and high school students who participated in the 14th (2018) Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey. Frequency analysis, $x^2$ test, and multivariate logistic regression were conducted using SPSS 21.0. Results: The risk factors for addiction-related behaviors were sex, school type, living area, academic performance, economic status, residence type, health status, depression, perceived stress and sleep satisfaction. Conclusion: Addiction-related behaviors are associated with mental health. Therefore, in order to prevent addictive-behaviors of adolescents, it is necessary to develop strategies to prevent addictive-behaviors by improving their mental health.

Assuming that a political party has a strong incentive to gain votes via issue setting as part of its campaign strategy, this study utilized a Web experimental survey to explore the extent to which three issue-related campaign advertising strategies - namely, issue ownership, issue convergence, and issue trespassing - affected voters' perceptions toward parties' issue-handling capabilities. Our empirical results show that issue ownership perceptions exist in Taiwan. In the 2012 Taiwan presidential election, as issue ownership advertisements may reinforce voters' beliefs regarding parties' issue-handling capabilities, issue trespassing advertising may improve a party's image on the disadvantageous issue dimension. At least our data shows that the Kuomintang's (KMT) advertisements have both effects.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the general characteristics and health behaviors of students with non-therapeutic substance use. Methods: This secondary data analysis used data from the 17th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey (2021). Analyses of the 54,848 adolescents used descriptive statisics, the Rao-Scott χ² test, and logistic regression. Results: The risk factors for substance use among students were anxiety, loneliness, living separately from family, suicidal ideation, e-cigarette use, and high stress. Conclusion: The findings help identify the risk factors for non-therapeutic drug use among adolescents. Since South Korea does not have a drug prevention program for its adolescent population, an educational plan based on these findings could help prevent adolescent substance abuse.

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of food service web site users' functional recognition extent on switching behaviors. For this, a survey of web site users was carried out. As for analytic methods, frequency analysis was used to examine respondents' demographic features. In addition, simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were carried out used to look into the influence of functional recognition of food providers' web sites on switching behaviors. Study findings are as follows: all the functional variables such as entertainment, advertisement & public relations, communication and purchase decision-making function have significant influence on users' switching behaviors. When users' recognition extent of food providers' online web sites is high, their switching behavior is also high. In particular, the following clause have the greatest influence upon users' switching behaviors pattern. In the function of entertainment, (1) it is easy to search on web site; in the advertisement function, (2) the image of restaurant can easily be recognize; In the communication function, (3) the image of new products can be seen with ease; and in the purchase decision-making function, (4) web sites are easily accessible.

In this paper, I introduce web 2.0 tool with which cooperative learning is possible based on C4LPT, and suggest educational application plan of web 2.0 tool by offering briefly the teaching-learning process plan for application class of web 2.0 tool. The class through the suggested teaching-learning process plan encouraged participation so that the common goal of a small group could be achieved and provided a web base where free communication could be possible. Futhermore, by using the collaboration space of web 2.0 tool, I could attract learners' study interest and maintain learning atmosphere. Based on teaching-learning process plan, I have taught university freshmen from 2012 to the present, and I could confirm the possibility of education application and the satisfaction of education application of web 2.0 tool through students' learning results and a survey.
