  • The field of this study is in Islamic jurisprudence. Taking the preferred saying is contrary to the original, and takes it if necessity or need arises. There are reasons for adopting the preferred saying that were mentioned in this research so that the mufti and jurist know when to take the preferred saying, and when to act with the most correct saying. The origin is the work of the jurist and mufti by saying the most correct. If the necessity or the need that prompted the mufti to take the preferred saying ceases, then he returns to work with the most correct saying, and gives it precedence over the most preferred opinion. The researcher recommends that this topic be given more attention from researchers, and that it is taken care of in jurisprudential developments; So that the embarrassment of the nation is lifted, and the jurists clarify the legal ruling on emerging issues.

  • Social media is a general term for online services by which users share opinions, perspectives, and experiences. It supports interactions between users in sharing contents on it and weak ties among them play an important role in the process. This exploratory study attempts to identify crucial factors of establishing weak ties between social media users in the perspective of social network theory and uncertainty reduction theory. We collected data through diary study and in-depth interview and analyzed it following grounded theory approach. As a result, social media users more actively interacted each other or shared contents based on weak ties, compared to strong ties. In addition, similarity, self-disclosure, and relevance appeared to facilitate establishment of weak ties, by reducing psychological distance between social media users and perceived uncertainty of them.

  • As the scale of research and development (R&D) increases, countries and companies are consistently establishing R&D directions to meet strategic goals and market demands as well as roadmaps to increase efficiency through concentration and selection. However, establishing an effective roadmap and discovering promising technologies are challenging under the current numerous technological possibilities and uncertainties. The importance of discovering promising technologies to secure future technological competitiveness is recognized worldwide, and Europe, the United States, and Japan are establishing processes to identify promising future technologies and support related R&D. Methods for discovering promising future technologies can be classified into future social needs analysis, forecasting, surveys, use of expert opinions, and data analysis. We describe the types and limitations of technology roadmaps and investigate the status of domestic and foreign organizations using weak signal search through quantitative data analysis.

  • Web technology has allowed the rise of services such as blogs or YouTube that make possible the sharing of opinions, perspectives, and experiences with other users through contents. Online services that promote such sharing of information and communication are known as social media. Recently, the explosive growth of these services displays the carry-over of the natural sociality that all humans possess as social creatures. This study took an exploratory approach in investigating what influential relationships are involved in forming new relationships through sharing and participation, as sharing and participation are core keywords of social media. In order to do this, relationship formations were observed in actual usage environments with the use of the diary study method and in-depth interviews. This study sought to deduce necessary elements in relationship formations and examine the influences of weak ties on participation and sharing.

  • Since the advent of the Internet, and the development of smart devices, people have begun to spend more time in online platforms; this phenomenon has created a large number of online Words of Mouth (WOM) daily. Under these changes, one of the important aspects to consider is the conformity effect in online WOM; that is, whether an individual's own opinion would be influenced by the majority opinion of other people. This study, therefore, investigates whether there is the conformity effect in online product ratings for Amazon.com using the method called Markov Chain analysis. Markov Chain analysis considers the stochastic process that satisfies the Markov property, and we assume that the generation of online product ratings follows the process. Under the assumption that people are usually independent when they express their opinion in online platforms, we analyze the interdependency among rating sequences, and we find weak evidence that there exists the conformity effect in online product rating. This suggests that people who leave online product ratings consider others' opinions.

  • Online and mobile games represent digital entertainment. Not only the game grows fast, but also it has been noted for unique business models such as a subscription revenue model and free-to-play with partial payment. But, a recent revenue mechanism, called a loot-box system, has been criticized due to overspending, weak protection to teenagers, and more over gambling-like features. Policy makers and research communities have counted on expert opinions, review boards, and temporal survey studies to build countermeasures to minimize negative effects of online and mobile games. In this process, speed was not seriously considered. In this study, we attempt to use a big data source to find a way of observing a trend for policy makers and researchers. Specifically, we tried to apply the Word2Vec data mining algorithm to news repositories. From the findings, we acknowledged that the suggested design would be effective in lightening issues timely and precisely. This study contributes to digital entertainment service communities by providing a practical method to follow up trends; thus, helping practitioners have concrete grounds for balancing public concerns and business purposes.

There are opinions that the Michelin Guide's rating system and evaluation criteria are somewhat ambiguous. Research design, data, and methodology: This study collected 145 actual online reviews published on TripAdvisor to examine how the effect of the content attributes of reviews on consumer satisfaction varies according to the Michelin grade. Based on this, two studies were conducted. Study 1 examined the effect of strong and weak positive reviews on consumer satisfaction according to the rating. Study 2 examined the effect of image information on consumer satisfaction. Results: The results revealed that the lower the Michelin rating, the more positive review had a significant effect on consumer satisfaction. The higher the rating, the more image information had an effect on consumer satisfaction. Expectations for Michelin three-star restaurants are higher than those of two-star restaurants, so customers are more likely to be used negatively when writing reviews. • This study forecasts the outlook 10 years from now regarding domestic labor and caregiving by the Baby Boomer generation and the preparations needed in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The scenario-planning method was used to explore changing trends in domestic labor and caregiving, the rationale for which has been questioned by both seniors and family welfare experts. Based on the results of the survey and our researchers' opinions, it was concluded that the changing trends were caused by two factors: the probability of alterations in domestic labor and the strength of family relationships. On the basis of these conclusions, four scenarios regarding baby boomers' domestic labor and caregiving in 10 years were proposed using two axes: the "high and low probability of alterations" and the "strengthening and weakening of family relationships." The first scenario is a "preference for the self-caring form of family," which has a high probability of domestic labor alterations and weak family relationships. The second scenario is a "preference for the flexible form of family," which has a high probability of domestic labor alterations and strong family relationships. The third scenario is a "preference for the traditional form of family," which has a low probability of domestic labor alterations and strong family relationships. The fourth scenario is a "preference for the public caregiving form of family," which has a low probability of domestic labor alterations and weak family relationships. These results provide basic information about the various aspects of baby boomers' lives-including the development of various goods and services, the establishment of policies regarding seniors, and programs for successful aging-and can help equip our society to take the actions needed for a super-aged population.

  • As the transfer of cargo functions to Gwangyang Port is completed, Yeosu Port has established a vision to become a hub for maritime tourism in Korea. Revitalization of the marine tourism industry through cruise development is recognized as a major strategy. Major domestic cruise tourism ports (Busan Port, Jeju Port, Incheon Port) have established a basic plan for fostering port cruises in response to the "Basic Plan for the Promotion of the Cruise Industry" established in 2016. However, the plan for Yeosu Port is insufficient. The cruise tourism industry, which is in recession due to Corona 19, is expected to recover due to with-Corona and Post-Corona. Therefore, Yeosu Port needs to take the lead in promoting the cruise industry to prepare for this. Accordingly, this study intends to derive evaluation items for the fostering of the Yeosu Port cruise industry through prior research and the gathering of expert opinions. An IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) analysis is conducted to identify problems and suggest promoting policies for the Yeosu Port cruise industry. According to the IPA analysis results, in the major categories, the creation of cruise infrastructure, and the establishment of a support system were evaluated as weak items (high importance but low satisfaction), and sub-categories corresponding to the two major categories were identified as weak points. Based on the results of this analysis, measures to promote the cruise industry in Yeosu Port were presented as cruise infrastructure, route expansion, tourism product development, and support system. This study is expected to be utilized when establishing policies for constructing Yeosu Port as the hub port of maritime tourism in Korea.
