  • This study selected the objects and the content factors of multicultural education in home economics, and analyzed multicultural contents reflected on high school technology & home economics textbooks. Based on these results, this study suggests the direction for improving technology & home economics textbook. We set up the object of multicultural education in home economics as creating the new culture through developing multicultural ability by critical thinking. The distribution analysis of multicultural contents of six kinds of technology & home economics textbook resulted that most of contents are assigned to 'knowledge section'. And 'personal relationship and group function' holds the highest ratio among the sub-sections of 'function section'. The 'value section' shows even distribution in its sub-sections. Most of textbooks contain characteristics of Korean traditional culture and necessary value in multicultural society. But, there are lack of contents about the way of communication with other cultures and coexist with diverse cultures. When we develops new textbook hereafter, it is necessary to contain the contents about which can help to understand and respect diverse culture through the egalitarian perspective and, by extension, which can make students think critically about the attitude, values, environment and way of live together with multicultural members in society. From now on Home Economics education will help the students who live in multicultural society to be understand about the differences in diverse culture and to create a desirable culture through the critical thinking as well.

  • Software reuse the concept of developing software by using existing software assets, rather than developing it from scratch. Developers may face difficulties of reusing existing software assets because existing assets are normally developed by other developers for different purposes. Developers tend to seek appropriate knowledge about effectively reusing software assets from the developers who have faced and solved similar problems in reusing software assets previously. In other words, the reuse-related knowledge of domain experts or other developers usually provides important clues to solve reuse-related problems. Such reuse-relalted knowledge can help developers to reduce the time and effort to identify and solve the difficulties and problems that may arise in reusing software assets and in minimizing the risks of reusing them by allowing them to reuse reliable software assets in an appropriate way and by recognizing similar requirements or constraints of resuing the assets. In this paper, we describe a model to represent reuse-related knowledge in a formal way, and explain the architecture and a prototype implementation of Software Reuse Wiki (SRW) that enables collaborative organization and sharing of software reuse-related knowledge. We have conducted an experiment pertaining to problem solving in reusing assets based on reuse-related knowledge. We also discuss about our evaluation plan for showing the benefits and contributions of reuse knowledge representation model and management methods in SRW. We expect that SRW can contribute to facilitate users' participations and make efficient sharing and growing of reuse-related knowledge. In addition, the representation model of reuse-related knowledge and management methods can make developers acquire more reliable and useful reuse-related knowledge in a straightforward manner without spending additional efforts to find solutions to solve reuse-related problems.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand about the influence of female undergraduates health behavior and health state upon sociality and the influence of sociality upon college life satisfaction. The subjects were 335 female junior-college students with major related to public health in Busan, Daegu, and Gyeongnam and were carried out questionnaire survey on general characteristics, sociality, college life satisfaction, health behavior, health status, and internet addiction. An analytical method was made through chi-square test, t-test, one-way ANOVA, ANOVA for trend, and structural equation modeling(SEM). As a result, the influence of accountability had the greatest influence as sub-factor. Accountability and age had a positive correlation(p<0.001). Accountability was low when self-cognitive body shape was very thin(p=0.005). In sociality, full age(p<0.001), self rated health(p<0.001), and physical education instruction for the 3rd grade of high school(p=0.004) showed direct effect. Also, sociality showed direct influence upon college life satisfaction. The older age, the higher self rated health, and the more instruction for the 3rd grade of high school led to the higher sociality, thereby having been indicated to be higher in college life satisfaction. Accordingly, a multi-dimensional effort is judged to be necessary for reinforcing physical education activity for high school students and for improving their quality of life as a plan for increasing college life satisfaction.
