An Experimental Study on the Adhesion Property of Self Adhesive Rubberized Asphalt Waterproofing Sheet (자착식 고무화 아스팔트 방수시트의 접착특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This study is to examine adhesion the characteristics of self adhesive asphalt to minimize of the construction periods and the environmental problems through the performance estimation of materials to reduce waterproof problem and the long durability maintenance of building structures. This study tested the estimation items of self rubberized adhesive asphalt to examine the sheet discovered the most important problem in the construction site and the connection stability in the sheet joint. Besides, this study examined the material characteristics such as tension property, tear property, temperature dependence, heat resistance, adhesion stability and so on. Test results of the separative items satisfied in the reference figure of connection stability and adhesion stability which could confirm adhesion performances and other items also satisfied in the reference.

  • Recently constructions of large scale infrastructures have been tending upwards, due to continuous growth of economy and increase of demands. In addition, hydration heat occurs rapidly in early age just after casting of concrete owing to higher strength and massive structure of concrete. Consequently, cracks and residual stress are developed in accordance to field condition. Moreover, These have harmful influences on safety, durability, watertight, waterproof, and shape of concrete structure. In this study, hydration heat tests were conducted on three of self-compacting concrete and one of high strength concrete. Heat generation and temperature are compared and evaluated based on the test results.

A Study on Development of a Liner Manufactured by Mine Wastes and Polymer (광산폐기물과 폴리머를 이용한 Liner 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Development of an effective liner by utilization of the tailings frm the Imcheon mine and polymer has been tried. The tailings piled in the Imcheon mine, whose true specific gravity is about 2.86, are composed mainly of quartz, alkali-feldspar, muscovite and pyrite, and mostly (93.7% in volume) coarser than sand grain size (50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$). Strength, leaching and permeability tests have been performed on the test specimens of polymer concrete manufactured with various mixing proportions of tailings, unsaturated polyester resins(UPR), calcium carbonates, stone powder sludges and granite soils. Polymer concrete specimens with stone powder sludges or granite soils as fillers and aggregates indicate 2.5 to 3 fold higher flexural and compressive strengths and lower permeabilities than those with calcium carbonates, which shows their usability as a waterproof liner. Also, the polymer concrete liner with stone powder sludge fillers is more advisable in aspects of utilization of waste sludges than that with other fillers.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the properties of polymer-modified mortars using asphalt emulsion. The polymer-modified mortars using asphalt emulsion with various asphalt-cement ratios are prepared, and tested for flexural and compressive strengths, water absorption and permeability, carbonation, Cl ion penetration and chemical resistance. From the test results, the flexural and compressive strengths, water absorption and permeability, carbonation and Cl ion penetration depths of polymer-modified mortars using asphalt emulsion tend to be decreased with increasing asphalt-cement ratio, and chemical resistance is improved. It is evident that polymer-modified mortars using asphalt emulsion having an excellent properties as a waterproof and finish materials can be produced.

Before this cement polymer modified waterproof coating and appliable asphalt sheet of monolithic whether have stability by method of construction about all style waterproofing that evaluate to new method of construction development naturally big emphasis put and try to approach. Did performance test item first at, as a result, drew by suitable thing in all KS items. This is considered to have more effective spot construction work because if means that have stability by material as well as method of construction.

  • Recently, apartment houses are becoming more and more sophisticated and attention has been focused on the design of the interior of the bathrooms. As bathrooms always use water, the importance of waterproofing is very high. However, there continues to use the method that was used 30 years ago. And no one was trying to improve. It is necessary to be converted to a dry method, because waterproofing methods and materials have developed. Therefore, this study proposes the required performance before applying the dry waterproofing material to bathroom.

  • In this study, to confirm the performance of gel type urethane (hereinafter referred to as urethane gel) developed for the purpose of securing waterproof stability after application by increasing compatibility with asphalt mastic film material, general urethane coating material and adhesion. As a result, gel type urethane showed "all right" in fatigue resistance test.

  • The purpose of this study is to develope an available outdoor insulation construction for the green roof system in Korea. On its own economical and structural problems of constructional risk, the typical outdoor insulation construction on the korean spot does not function efficiently with the green roof. Therefore, this study consists of four main contents as follows: 1. The objectives of the study are established by analysing the problems of the typical in- and outdoor roof insulation system in korea. 2. The foreign outdoor insulation systems for the green roof are clarified to find out an acceptable prototype for Korea. 3. According to loadtest, the prototype, which has a waterproof on the thermal insulation, is tested to demonstrate the structural safety. 4. The U-value test of the prototype on KS F 2277 brings the thermal performance of the green roof system, which can influence the thickness of the insulation.

  • Existing polyurethane membrane waterproofing has been raised defects such as heaving. Therefore, We will be utilizing as the basic experimental data by the water vapor permeability test to the air cell structure of ultra rapid harding membrane waterproofing using the static mixing system in this study.
