Si-Hwa tidal power station is using difference of the ebb and flow. The active power is dependent on up and down sea water level but if it is drastically changed because of a typhoon or waves the generator terminal voltage and active power is changed that is a chief cause of power station unstability. Therefore this paper arrange a present state of power or frequency fluctuation and generator terminal phase difference in case of occurrence a drastic change of sea water level.
A superhydrophobic mesh is a unique structure that blocks water, while allowing gases, sound waves, and energy to pass through the holes in the mesh. This mesh is used in various devices, such as gas- and energy-permeable waterproof membranes for underwater sensors and electronic devices. However, it is difficult to fabricate micro- and nano-structures on three-dimensional surfaces, such as the cylindrical surface of a wire mesh. In this research, we successfully produced a superhydrophobic water-repellent mesh with a high contact angle (> $150^{\circ}$) for nanofibrous structures. Conducting polymer (CP) composite nanofibers were evenly coated on a stainless steel mesh surface, to create a superhydrophobic mesh with a pore size of $100{\mu}m$. The nanofiber structure could be controlled by the deposition time. As the deposition time increased, a high-density, hierarchical nanofiber structure was deposited on the mesh. The mesh surface was then coated with Teflon, to reduce the surface energy. The fabricated mesh had a static water contact angle of $163^{\circ}$, and a water-pressure resistance of 1.92 kPa.

The second-order steady horizontal force and vertical moment are derived for a freely-floating body in water of finite depth. Momentum relations are used in terms of the Kochin function in the fluid region far from the body. The general results look very similar to those for deep water. The water depth is formally reflected in terms of the ratio between the phase and group velocities of incident waves. Computations are made for a Series 60 hull($C_B=0.6$) and are compared with the corresponding results of deep water. It is shown that the vertical drift moment for slender ships becomes completely free from water depth when the wave-ship length ratio is taken as parameter.
A study of the possible axisymmetric modes that propagate at low frequencies in buried, water-filled iron pipes is presented. It is well known that for a vacuum-pipe-vacuum system the sole non-torsional axisymmetric mode that exists at low frequencies is the fundamental L(0,1) mode. When a pipe is filled with water and still surrounded by a vacuum it is also known that another mode then appears which at low frequencies is characterized by predominantly axial water-borne displacements. In addition to these modes, this paper explores two other, less well known axisymmetric modes whose existence depends on the acoustic properties of the outer medium that surrounds a pipe. In this paper the predicted characteristics of these modes are presented.

Unit-water content is an element directly related to durability and unit-water content of concrete used at construction site has a great effect on the durability of construction structure. Many methods are being discussed for more convenient and accurate measurements of unit-water content. Therefore, an experimental study was conducted on the prediction of unit-water content using ultrasonic equipment. Depending on the amount of cement in cement paste, the speed of ultrasonic waves varies and the experiment will be carried out using the same reception sensitivity in the future.
As electromagnetic waves are affected by electrical conductivity or permittivity, they are widely used to evaluate geotechnical characteristics. In this study, a probe for measuring electromagnetic waves using a time domain reflectometry is manufactured to evaluate heavy metal concentration in saline water. In the experiments, a copper is used as a heavy metal, and a probe is demonstrated with the concentration of copper. Solutions were set for 8 different copper concentration (0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1, 5, 10 mg/L) in saline water with 3% salinity. The probe is coated by electrical insulating materials such as epoxy, top-coat, varnish, acrylic paint, heat-shrinkage tube to measure electromagnetic waves in saline water. The measured signals are compared according to coating material. As results, for probes coated with acrylic paint and heat-shrinkage tube, signal variation is not detected. For epoxy, top-coat, and varnish coated probes, the voltage decreases with an increase of copper concentration. Probes coated by epoxy at once and top coat can estimate under 5 mg/L of copper concentration and the probe coated by epoxy twice can estimate over 5 mg/L of copper concentration. This study shows that the probe using the time domain reflectometry can be used to evaluate the concentration of heavy metal in saline water by coating the probe with insulating material.
In this paper, an integrated model for the wave (current)-induced seabed response is presented. The present model consists of two parts: hydrodynamic model for wave-current interactions and poro-elastic seabed model for pore accumulations. In the wave-current model, based on the fifth-order wave theory, ocean waves were generated by adding a source function into the mass conservation equation. Then, currents were simulated through imposing a steady inlet velocity on one domain and pressure outlet on the other side. In addition, both of the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokers (RANS) Equations and $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model would be applied in the fluid field. Once the wave pressures on the seabed calculated through the wave-current interaction model, it would be applied to be boundary conditions on the seabed model. In the seabed model, the poro-elastic theory would be imposed to simulate the seabed soil response. After comparing with the experimental data, the effect of currents on the seabed response would be examined by emphasize on the residual mechanisms of the pore pressure inside the soil. The build-up of the pore water pressure and the resulted liquefaction phenomenon will be fully investigated. A parametric study will also be conducted to examine the effects of waves and currents as well as soil properties on the pore pressure accumulation.

In recent towing tank experiments, it has been observed that a ship moving near the critical speed $\sqrt{gh}$(g=gravitational acceleration, h=water depth) radiates solitons upstream in an almost periodic manner. As a ,consequence, the ship experiences considerable changes in resistance, trim and sinkage, or better known as squat. Mei and Choi(1987) developed a nonlinear theory for a slender ship by using the method of matched asymptotic expansions. For a certain class of channel width and ship slenderness, they found that the waves generated can be described by an inhomogeneous Korteweg-de Vries(KdV) equation. The leading-order solution properly predicts solitons propagating upstream, but it fails to render three-dimensional waves in the wake. In this paper a new approach has been made by choosing a different class of channel width and ship slenderness. The wave equation in the farfield turns out to be a homogeneous Kadomtsev-Petviashvili(KP) equation, which predicts solitons upstream and three-dimensional waves in the wake. Numerical results for the wave resistance, sinkage and trim reflect the experimentally identified phenomena.
In this work, we the ettect on extraction amounts and general composition content of phytoestrogen genistein and formononetin extracted from Sophoraflavescens Aiton by various ultrasonic waves(35, 72, and 170 KHz) and extraction time(30, and 60 min) were compared using extraction solvent water 100%. The pretreatment step was composed of ultrasonic waves extraction, filtration, concentration, and membrane filtration. The extracted sample was analyzed by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography(RP-HPLC). And the mobile phase applied was linearly changed with A/B of 80/20~65/35 vol% for 60 min(A water/acetic acid, 99.9/0.1 vol%, B acetonitrile/acetic acid, 99.9/0.1 vol%). The experimental results, general composition carbohydrate(0.255 to 0.413%) excepts, other ingredients was confirmed almost similarly. Also, The highest yield of extraction amount 3.17g was obtained by ultrasonic waves with a frequency of 170 KHz and an extraction time of 60 min. This work offers would be useful for chemical and biological studies of natural plants and its products.

A curvilinear non-hydrostatic free surface model is developed to investigate nonlinear wave interactions in a circular channel. The proposed model solves the unsteady Navier-Stokes equations in a three-dimensional domain with a pressure correction method, which is one of fractional step methods. A hybrid staggered-grid layout in the vertical direction is implemented, which renders relatively simple resulting pressure equation as well as free surface closure. Numerical accuracy with respect to wave nonlinearity is tested against the fifth-order Stokes solution in a two-dimensional numerical wave tank. Numerical applications center on the evolution of nonlinear waves including diffraction and reflection affected by the curvature of side wall in a circular channel comparing with linear waves. Except for a highly nonlinear bichrmatic wave, the model's results are in good agreement with superimposed analytical solution that neglects nonlinear effects. Through the numerical simulation of the highly nonlinear bichramatic wave, the model shows its capability to investigate the evolution of nonlinear wave groups in a circular channel.
