Purpose: Until now, the process was improved by the needs of experimenters personally. But recently, suggestion system in hospital has been activated in various ways. So the department of nuclear medicine laboratory is also aware of the need of operation improvement using suggestion system. It is intend to assist in the development by sharing excellent suggestion cases with other hospitals. Material & Method: A total of 124 suggestion cases from January 2007 to March 2010 were analyzed. Suggestion cases were divided into customer satisfaction, cost reduction, improved testing methods, equipment, environmental improvement, and computational system. Result: Suggestion cases of environmental improvement and computational system were accounted for 26.6% as 33 cases, respectively. Suggestion for customer satisfaction is 25.8% as 32 in a total of 124 cases. Conclusion: Activation of the awareness of operation improvement is induced by suggestion system. By securing system of operation improvement, employees' ideas can lead to the production and systematization. Furthermore, it enhances hospital competitiveness and promotes the development of the hospital.
Lactulose (4-O-${\beta}$-D-galactopyranosyl-D-fructose) is a non-digestible synthetic ketose disaccharide which can used in food and pharmaceutical fields due to its useful functions for encephalopathy, chronic constipation, hyperammonemia, etc. Therefore, the lactulose is regarded as one of the most important disaccharides and have been concentrated much interesting as an attractive functional material in the current industry. From this reason, the research related on the production of lactulose has been carried out various academic and industrial research groups. To produce lactulose, two main methods, chemical production and enzymatic production have been used. Commercially lactulose produced by alkaline isomerization of lactose as chemical production method but it has many disadvantages such as rapid lactulose degradation, purification, and waste management. From these reasons, lactulose produced by enzymatic method which solves these problems has been suggested as a proper method for lactulose production. Two different enzymatic methods have been reported as methods for lactulose production. Lactulose can be obtained through hydrolysis and transfer reaction catalyzed by a ${\beta}$-galactosidase which requires fructose as co-substrate and exhibits a low conversion. Alternatively, lactulose can be produced by direct isomerization of lactose to lactulose catalyzed by cellobiose 2-epimerase which requires lactose as a single substrate and achieves a high lactulose yield. This review summarizes the current state of lactulose production by chemical and biological methods.
"Hwaseong 5ho" was developed by the method of Di-mon mating between monokaryotic strains derived from "Hwaseong 1ho" and dikaryotic strain "PSC109". The color of pileus was dark grayish brown, the shape of pileus was convex or infundibuliform. The length of stipe was longer and the thickness of stipe was some thinner than Suhan 1ho. Material properties of stipe of "Hwaseong 5ho" was higher in strength, hardness, chewingness and brittleness than Suhan 1ho, but similar in elasticity and cohesion. RAPD using URP-primer showed not the same between two strains. Days of primordia formation period were 22-27 days after spawning, that was a little later than Suhan 1ho. In the trial using culture box containing composted cotton waste, yield index of 'Hwaseong 5ho' was 16.6% higher than Suhan 1ho. The farm field trial were showed stable productivity in each different growing conditions.
Differently from fly ash, the bottom ash produced from thermal power generation has been treated as an industrial waste matter, and almost reclaimed or was applied with the additive of the part concrete. Bottom ash has various problems to use with the aggregate. Bottom ash is lighter than typically the sand or the gravel and it's physical properties (compressive strength etc.) is somewhat low because of high absorptance. In order to manufacture the ash concrete, we used a bottom ash as a main material and a pure sulfur as a binder. In this study, fundamental research methods that vary the grain-size of bottom ash and the ratio of sulfur vs ash were investigated to improve the quality of ash concrete such as compressive strength. Bottom ash in this research which occurs from domestic 4 place power plants, was checked physical and chemical properties. The compressive strength seems the result which simultaneously undergoes an influence in content of the sulfur and Bottom ash grain-size. We got the result of the maximum 92 MPa. The compressive strength was high result for grain size below 1.2 mm and high sulfur content.

HEMIRE is a 6,000-meter-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) that has been developed for observation and sampling of objects of interest on the deep seabed. We first carried out deep-seabed exploration around the slopes of the Hupo Bank and the Ulleung Basin in the East Sea in June 2015. Over two weeks, a total of 10 dives were made from a support ship, the R/V Onnuri, at eight stations with water depth ranging between 194 and 2,080 m. The dive times ranged from 1 to 6 hours, depending on the operating conditions. We obtained the following results: 1) video images of the deep seafloor; 2) red snow crab density data (a major fishery resource) and inventories of deep-sea fauna, including an unrecorded organism; 3) specific topographies such as canyons slopes; 4) an undisturbed sediment core obtained using a push corer; and 5) observations of the seabed surface covered with discarded anthropogenic waste material.
Ce-pyrochlore (CaCe $Ti_2$O_7)was synthesized to study its properties and phase relations in CaO-Ce $O_2$-Ti $O_2$ system because Ce-pyrochlore was known as a promising material for the immobilization of radioactive actinide. The samples were prepared from the high purity starling materials under the pressure of 200~400 kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at room temperature, and annealed at 1000~ 150$0^{\circ}C$. The Synthesized samples were analysed and indentified with XRD and SEM/EDS methods. The optimal formation condition of Ce-pyrochlore was at 130$0^{\circ}C$ under $O_2$ atmosphere and the chemical composition of it wasCa$Ca_{1-x}Ti_{2-y}O_{7-x-2y}$(x=0.03-0.05, y=0.02~0.04) At temperature between 130$0^{\circ}C$ 140$0^{\circ}C$, Ce-pyrochlore underwent rapidly the incongruent decomposition to perovskite. Ce-perovskite, a partial solid solution between perovskite and loparite (C $e_{0.66}$Ti $O_3$), was observed as a major phase above 140$0^{\circ}C$.>.
This paper describes the sorption behaviors of aqueous uranium ions on the K-birnessite. K-birnessite was synthesized by adding a concentrated HCl to an aqueous solution of $KMnO_4$. Physicochemical characteristics of the K-birnessite, such as structure, specific surface area and surface charge, were investigated. K-birnessite is a layered material and the $K^+$ ions exist in the interlayer of layered K-birnessite. BET specific surface area of the K-birnessite was 38.30 m2/g. The surface charge of K-birnessite was $-1.65\;C/m^2$ at pH 5.00 and ionic strength of 0.010 M $NaClO_4$, at which the sorption experiments of uranium ions were carried out. Uranium ions were incorporated into the interlayer of the K-birnessite by cation-exchange reaction with $K^+$ ions, and the distribution coefficient is quite similar to those of common ion-exchange materials. The results might be applicable in the retardation of migration of radioactive materials from the underground disposal site of high-level radioactive waste.

This study investigated the spatial distribution of the marine debris in Jinudo in the Nakdong river estuary. Types of marine debris in Jinudo are analyzed through sampling around some portion of its sandbar shoreline. The present study and its main results are summarized as follow: 1) Monitoring system, for evaluating the volume of marine debris, was established in the coastal region of $50\;m\;{\times}\;50\;m\;(=0.002\;km^2)$ over the southern part of Jinudo. All the marine debris of conceivable form are collected and their amount was also estimated. 2) During the $1^{st}$ collection in May 2007, the total weight of the marine debris was 1,110 kg in this site, which means the density of marine debris around the shoreline is $444\;ton/km^2$. After one month later, the collected marine debris was 23.75 kg and so we have the average density of $9.5\;ton/km^2$. From these results, it is suggested that the marine debris of 316.67kg was being accumulated per day over unit area($1\;km^2$). 3) The most frequent marine debris collected during monitoring campaigns was wooden material amounting to 85.86% of the whole collection; the rest were fishing gears such as nets and buoys(5.13%), household waste(2.34%), glass(0.94%) and metals(0.27%).
Compostable household wastes(mainly food wastes), after waste papers and cardboard being removed, were daily fed into small bins and mixed thoroughly while the air was supplied into the bin. Three small bins were employed: in case I, only recycled compost was composted, after being once fed at the beginning of composting, in case II, compostable household wastes(less than 50 mm) torn roughly by the hands with recycled compost, and in case III, compostable household wastes(less than 2 mm) ground by a kitchen mixer for vegetables with recycled compost. The straight-line was maintained between the wet or the dry residual mass of composting mixture versus composting time date(the coefficient of determination $R^2{\geq}0.98$ for the wet and $R^2{\geq}0.90$ for the dry). The decomposition rate of each composted material was estimated during composting. The total weight reduction rate after 30 days was 67.86% and 66.14% for case II and III, respectively. For case II, the daily weight reduction 6.82% and the daily decomposition rate 8.81% with the composting mixture, but the daily weight reduction rate was 56.43% and the daily decomposition rate 19.26% with only compostable household wastes. For case III, the daily reduction rate was 6.93% and the daily decomposition rate 7.70% with the composting mixture, but the daily weight reduction rate was 53.30% and the daily decomposition rate 22.95% with only compostable household wastes. The physicochemical characteristics of composting mixture did not show much difference between case II and III as was expected.

A huge amount of de-icing agent is sprayed during winter to promote traffic safety in cold regions, and the quantity of de-icing agent sprayed has increased each year. The main ingredients in commonly used de-icing agents are chlorides, such as calcium chloride($CaCl_2$) and sodium chloride(NaCl). While calcium chloride is mostly used in Korea and sodium chloride is usually used in the U.S. and Japan, all de-icing agents include chloride ions. The chlorides included in sprayed calcium chloride-based de-icing agents have severe adverse effects, including the corrosion of reinforcing steels through salt damage by infiltrating into road structures, reduced structural performance of pavement or damage to bridge structures, and surface scaling, in combination with freezing damage in winter, as well as water pollution. In addition, the deterioration of paved concrete road surface that occurs after the use of calcium chloride-based de-icing agent accelerates the development of visual problems with traffic structures. Therefore, the present study was performed to prepare an environment-friendly liquid de-icing agent through a reaction between waste organic acids and calcium-based by-products, which are industrial by-products, and to analyze the properties of the de-icing agent in order to evaluate its applicability to road facilities.
