Water on a road surface can lower the coefficient of friction of vehicle tires and it involves lots of risks. One way to prevent water from staying is to cut many "rain grooves" into the edges of the pavement parallel. Such grooves, however, can exert unwanted side forces, particularly on passenger tires, which cause "Groove Wander" making the drivers uncomfortable. The "Groove Wander" is somewhat related to vehicle geometry, but is more strongly related to interaction between road grooves and tire tread's longitudinal grooves. This thesis tries to examine principles to estimate "Groove Wandering" effect focusing on the design of longitudinal groove. Additionally, it studied how to reduce pipe resonance longitudinal grooves form in the contact patch.

In this paper, it is studied to remove the baseline wander and to minimize the distortion of ST segment in the noise filtering of ECG. In general, the standard filter and adaptive filter are used to remove the baseline wander of the ECG. But the standard filter is limited because the frequency of the baseline signal is variable and the apative filter is difficult to select the reference signal in case of using the adaptive filter. So we proposed a new method of the structure without reference signal using neural networks. To be convinced of the performance of this method, we used ECG data of MIT-BIHs. and obtained the result of the high performance,(-53.3[dB]) than standard filter(-16.3[dB]) and adaptive filter (-44.9[dB]).

GPS and INS integrated systems are expected to become commonly available as a result of low cost Micro-Electro-Mechanical Sensor (MEMS) technology. However, the current performance achieved by low cost sensors is still relatively poor due to the large inertial sensor errors. This is particularly prevalent in the urban environment where there are significant periods of restricted sky view. To reduce the inertial sensor error, GPS and low cost INS are integrated using a Loosely Coupled Kalman Filter architecture which is appropriate in most applications where there is good satellite availability. In this paper, we present the GPS/INS sensor Integration using Loosely Coupled Kalman Filter approach. We also compare the simulation results of Wander Azimuth Strapdown Mechanization Scheme with the reference values generated by the ZH35C trajectory simulator that is describe mathematically either by the geometry of the path, or as the position of the object over time.

Varietal resistance of 49 strawberry varieties to two isolates of Mycosphaerella fragariae was investigated by incoulation experiments and its chemical control was also studied. 1. The susceptibility of varieties and pathogenecity of the isolates were significantly different. 2. in most instances isolate $S_3$ and the reactions of varieties to the isolates were different. 3. Among the varieties tested, Tioga, Donner, Marhall, Northwest, Red star, Senga, sengana, Shasta, Torrey, Hokowase and Daehak No. 1 were found highly susceptible to isolate $K_2$, and America, Dabreak, Takanae, Kurumae No. 103, Horida's wander, Benizuru, Hukuba and Himiko were found as highly resistant. 4. It was apparent that America, Morioka No. 17, Takanae, Kurumae No. 13, Horida's wander, Benizuru and Hukuba were resistant to isolate $S_3$ and Marshall, Tioga were very susceptible to it. 5. As for the susceptibility of varieties by old End new leaf to isolate $K_2$, old leaves were evaluated as highly resistant. 6. Under the conditions of artificial infection Captan was the most effective in controlling for the leafspot and followed by Zineb and Difolatan.

Appropriate modeling of a tornado-like vortex is a prerequisite when studying the near-ground wind characteristics of a tornado and tornado-induced wind loads on structures. Both Ward- and ISU-type tornado simulators employ guide vanes to induce angular momentum to converge flow in order to generate tornado-like vortices. But in the Ward-type simulator, the guide vanes are mounted near the ground while in the ISU-type they are located at a high position to allow vertical circulation of flow that creates a rotating downdraft to generate a tornado-like vortex. In this study, numerical simulations were performed to reproduce tornado-like vortices using both Ward-type and ISU-type tornado simulators, from which the effects of rotating downdraft on the vortex characteristics were clarified. Particular attention was devoted to the wander of tornado-like vortices, and their dependences on swirl ratio and fetch length were investigated. The present study showed that the dynamic vortex structure depends significantly on the vortex-generating mechanism, although the time-averaged structure remains similar. This feature should be taken into consideration when tornado-like-vortex simulators are utilized to investigate tornado-induced wind forces on structures.

External treatments have various curative effects. So it had been used to cure various patients. Especially, Zhao-Xue-Min(趙學敏) had thought that there are useful treatments of wander doctors. So, the "Chuan-Ya(串雅)" had been written by Zhao-Xue-min in 1759. The book had included treatments of wander doctors. it had included various external treatments. Therefore we would like to bring out it's external treatments in the part of ophthalmic, otolaryngologic and surgical diseases. We have researched external treatments of "Chuan-Ya", and then we have arrived at following conclusions. "Chuan-Ya" has 56 sentences that have related to external treatments in the part of ophthalmic, otolaryngologic and surgical diseases. And then, the treatments were, for the most of the part, bathing therapy, application therapy.

Total magnetic field and high-resolution bathymetric data were collected over nine seamounts to the northwest of the Marshall Islands in the western Pacific. Magnetic parameters including inclination and declination were calculated from the magnetic anomalies using inversion algorithm of Plouff (1976), and a corresponding paleomagnetic pole was determined with the magnetic parameters. The paleomagnetic poles determined in this study were compared with the previous apparent polar wander path (APWP) of Pacific plate. Most seamounts of the study area have normal polarity. The study reveals that all nine seamounts in the study area formed in the southern hemisphere during the Cretaceous based on their comparison with the APWP of Pacific plate. The ages estimated from paleomagnetic poles can be divided by age into three groups: the oldest (OSM1 and OSM3), middle age (OSM2, OSM4, and 6-2), and the youngest (OSM5-1, 5-2, 5-3, and 6-1). The fermer two groups and the latter seem to be coincident with two distinct pulses of Cretaceous volcanic activity (115-90 Ma and 83-65 Ma). As a whole the seamounts at southwest of the study area are older than at those northeast.

1) Objective External treatments have various curative effects. So it had been used to cure various patients. But, it has a limited sphere of application in the present South Korea. And treatments of wander doctors had been disregarded by general doctors and the public. But Zhao-Xue-Min(趙學敏) had thought that there are useful treatments in it. So, the "Chuan-Ya(串雅)" had been written by Zhao-Xue-min in 1759. The book had included treatments of wander doctors. Especially, it had included various external treatments. Therefore we would like to bring out it's external treatments theory 2) Conclusions We have researched external treatments of "Chuan-Ya", and then we have arrived at following conclusions. "Chuan-Ya" has 48 sentences that have related to external treatments in internal medicine. And it had recorded fire conducting method(引火法) to explain process of external teratment principle.

Electroglottography (EGG) is a technique used to register laryngeal behavior indirectly by a measuring the change in electrical impedance across the throat during speaking. However, EGG waveform is affected by laryngeal muscles which fluctuate the vocal cords, and which result in baseline wander. It is required to reduce baseline wander in EGG waveform, because EGG waveform is used for input signal of nonlinear speech synthesizer in next chapter. In vocal cords, the abduction-adduction of glottis is mainly controlled by the posterior cricoarytenoid (abductor) and interarytenoid (adductor) muscles respectively. Empirical Mode Decomposition method was adopted in cancellation of EGG waveform baseline wandering, and showd better performance than that of high pass filter with 500 order.

The HDB3 code, a type of line code, is a data coding method used for digital data transmission. It is used to remove the DC wander on the transmission line which occurs when the DC component data is transmitted continuously. The military tactical communication network uses HDB3 code for data transmission and develops equipment using commercial HDB3 Codec IC. Because it is operated for more than 10 years due to the characteristics of military equipment, if a failure occurs in the equipment, the equipment can not be repaired due to the discontinuance of the part, so that the entire equipment may not be used. In this paper, we implement the HDB3 Codec as a logic to solve this problem and verify that the performance is equivalent to that of commercial parts.
