탄화수소계 냉동공조 시스템의 성능특성에 관한 실험 (Performance Characteristics of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning System Using Hydrocarbon Refrigerants)

  • Environmentally friendly refrigerants with zero ozone layer depletion potential are required to be used in refrigerators and air conditioners due to the difficulties related to ozone layer depletion and global warming. A rigorous study for the system performance with new refrigerants having zero ozone layer depletion potential is inevitable before adopting that as a new fluid. The HFC(Hydrofluorocarbon) potential has been recommended as alternatives. In this paper. system performance in the heat pump facilities were studied using R-290, R-600a. R-1270 as an environment friendly refrigerant. R-22 as a HCFC's refrigerant. The experimental apparatus has been set-up as a conventional vapor compression type heat Pump system. The test section is a horizontal double pipe heat exchanger. A tube diameter of 12.70mm with 1.315mm wall thickness is used for this investigation. The test results showed that the COP of hydrocarbon refrigerants were superior to that of R-22 and the maximum increasing rate of COP was found in R-1270. The refrigeration capacity of hydrocarbon refrigerants were higher than that of R-22. The compressor work was obtained with the maximum value in R-1270 and the minimum one in R-22.

  • We performed the experimental and the numerical study on the comparison of thermal comfort performance indices for cooling loads in the lecture room for 4 cases: Fan coil unit(FCU) or 4-way cassette air-conditioner is respectively operated with the ventilation system or without. We measured the velocity, the temperature distribution and predicted mean vote(PMV) value in the lecture room for 4 different air-conditioning methods. Effective draft temperature(EDT) and PMV were investigated to analyze the characteristics of two thermal comfort indices in the lecture room and to compare their values each other. From the results we knew that there is the similarity between PMV values and EDTs when the room is air-conditioned for cooling loads. It turned out that definition of the control temperature is very important when the EDT is calculated. Finally EDT should not be used to predict the accurate thermal comfort in case that the temperature and humidity are suddenly varied and the zone affected by the solar and inner wall radiation.

  • 핫셀내에서 원격작업을 수행할 수 있는 천정 이동 서보 매니퓰레이터 시스템의 시제품을 소개한다. 핫셀(hot cell)에 기본적으로 설치되는 마스터-슬레이브 매니퓰레이터 (master-slave manipulator, MSM)는 팔 길이의 제한 때문에 핫셀내 장치의 유지보수를 효과적으로 수행할 수 없다. 따라서, MSM의 결점인 접근 지역의 제한을 극복하기 위해 천정 이동 서보 매니퓰레이터(Bridge Transported Servo Manipulator, BTSM) 시스템을 개발하고 있다. 개발한 시제품은 부분적으로 와이어 구동방식을 채택한 단일 팔 형태의 힘반영 마스터-슬레이브 서보 매니퓰레이터로 중량 및 규모 대비 취급하중이 기존 마스터-슬레이브 서보 매니퓰레이터 보다 크다. 이는 산업용로봇 및 일반적인 구동장치의 개발에도 유용하다.

루버형 휜을 가진 휜관형 열교환기의 착상현상 연구 (Study on the Frosting Phenomenon of the Fin and Tube Heat Exchanger with a Louvered Fin)

  • The present study investigated the pressure drop and the total frost mass of the louvered fin type heat exchanger, which is widely used at the air-conditioning system. The pressure drop due to the frosting phenomenon and the total frost mass were investigated by changing the wet bulb temperature condition of the inlet air. Hence the brain of 55wt% was used as a cooling solution instead of a common refrigerant. The temperature difference between the brine and the tube outside wall at the outlet of heat exchanger was $10^{\circ}C$, at maximum, higher than that at the inlet of heat exchanger. As the wet bulb temperatures were increased, the pressure drop was linearly increased due to the increment of frost mass. And the increment of heat exchange rate was smaller than that of inlet air enthalpy due to the increment of frost mass. The pressure drop of air side was rapidly increased due to the progress of frosting phenomena. The run time that the pressure drop occurred rapidly was decreased by the growth of frost.

  • Although the importance of good conservation of historic sites including ancient royal tombs is wet] aware, still not much attention has been paid for the facilities and systems to preserve those historic sites, which includes precious artifacts as wall paints and carved works, etc. Even the general understanding about the environment of the underground space of tombs is not satisfactory. In the present study, vibration levels due to the operation of an HVAC system to maintain the desired indoor temperature and humidity are investigated experimentally. According to the measured data, the level of vibration inside the present model tomb with the indoor unit inside, showed order of magnitude less values than the Swiss Standards, but still higher than the value suggested by German standards, which is, zero. For the vibration level depends not only on the system design, but also on the installation methods, further study will be pursued for cases including different ways of installation.

  • Double facade systems are often paid attention of as an effective energy saving measure for curtain wall buildings. However, it is not easy to install the system in existing buildings and requires substantial investment. An innovative double window system is proposed in this study which can be installed with exiting window systems in a cost effective way. the proposed system is connected to existing return ducts to make airflow between the existing window and the newly installed window. To ensure the best performance of the proposed system, simulation-based analysis was implemented in which airflow characteristics of inside double window were examined according to air pressures of return duct and window material by using computer simulation ESP-r. the overview of the proposed system and the results of the simulation-based analysis are presented in this paper.

공동주택에서 발코니 확장형이 에너지소비에 미치는 영향 (Energy Consumption on Balcony Remodeling Type in an Apartment House)

  • The percentage of apartment houses in residential buildings has increased every year, and it result in higher energy consumption of residential buildings. After the house law could be amended to legalize the remodeling of the balcony, buyers and contractors prefer to choose the balcony remodeling type when they choose a house for installment sale. Many construction companies design an apartment house considering balcony remodeling. So, this paper compares the balcony remodeling type with the basic type(prior to remodeling balcony) by using the building energy rating system tool. The balcony remodeling type consumes heating energies more than the basic type, and is unable to receive high rating. If the balcony is remodeled, it is required to improve the performance of wall and window and reduce the area of remodeling balcony.

  • Window is the most demanding design component in the building design. Recently, window area in the building surface has been increased significantly in the office building. As window area increased significantly, however, the thermal load has been increased significantly due to lack of thermal performance of the outside wall. In this paper, we discussed the energy consumption of the buildings according to window area ratio. Two types of building for energy consumption analysis were made by Designbuilder v.1.4 and Energyplus v.2.0. Window area ratio was five different types ($30%{\sim}70%$) in each building. As a result, the cooling energy consumption has been decreased as window area decreased in each building. Whereas the heating energy consumption has been increased window area decreased.

자동차 커플러 부품(Al5052-H32)의 프로그래시브 드로잉 공정 시 두께 변화 고찰 (Consideration of thickness change during progressive drawing process of automotive coupler parts(AL5052-H32))

  • Progressive drawing processing is one of the manufacturing processes used to mass-produce a variety of products on the industrial site. In this study, the goal is to achieve a uniform product thickness of at least 1.3mm by reducing the wall thickness of the coupler parts used in automotive air conditioning systems to within 15% using A5052-H32 materials. The progressive die was designed using Blank's law of volume invariance. Due to the characteristics of the drawing process, the material thickness in the punch R part decreases and the thickness in the die R part increases. When designing the progressive die of the coupler part, an ironing method, a push back method, and a stand-alone die pad method were applied to each process to design a mold in consideration of the drawing rate and to artificially adjust the thickness change. The suitability of the method used in die design was investigated by measuring the thickness change of forming parts for each process. In the final part, it was confirmed that the thickness measurement values of the five regions of a radial line were implemented as 1.34-1.36 mm.

  • The cooling load in winter season is significant in many commercial buildings and hotels because of the usage of office equipments and high efficiency of wall insulation. The development of a multi-heat pump that can cover heating and cooling simultaneously for each indoor unit is required. In this numerical study, a 4-room simultaneous heating and cooling heat pump system was modeled and its performance was calculated at each operating mode. Also, performance analysis was compared with experimental results.
