시각장애아동에게 있어서 진입공간의 의미에 관한 연구 (A research about the meaning of the entry space for the sight-disabled child)

  • Interactions with the environment do to firm, deny, or challenge the existing knowledge. People who suffer from the loss of the sight have difficulty conceiving the space and the direction as well as walking. In the study, it wanted to reveal that the border that Is provided as a transfer clue has psychological and functional meaning to the sight-disabled people under given circumstances. It suggests that there is another space among the physical borders and analyzes the utilization clue in the entry space, which is the first starting point that can transfer, and obstacle factors which may happen at that point. And, it also wanted to present the surrounding environmental improvement ways for walking which is smooth and confident based on them.

  • Gait is walking attitude and indicating state. The body's gait is a good mix in the center of body mechanics and exercises to wake up gently at the same time switch is a pass which is complicated at legs various joints. The shifting action what swing phase and stance phase rhythmic movement of body. One from piece moves with different dot. Especially plain walking and stair walking as a vehicle has been used frequently. Characteristics of the stair walking while the balanced the horizontal and vertical movement. Stair walking often takes place in everyday. It requires large range more than walking at plain in the moment and joint range of gait motion. And consistently applied to joints and various types of loads at legs joint may involve joint disorders. In this study, spastic cerebral palsy existing artificial limbs for disabled people when developing calibration equinus deformity patients induce muscle pain when walking on stairs independently, to reduce the research. Comparing the characteristics of the walking up the stairs for analysis patellofemoral joint pain as a result it is to provide engineering data.

A Study on the Perception of Personal Mobility Vehicle for the Improvement of Pedestrian Environment for the Disabled

  • Objective: In order to secure the right to walk for the weak, such as the disabled, this study aims to suggest ways to improve the pedestrian environment by identifying factors that cause obstacles to walking. Design: Data Analysis and Perception Survey. Methods: The questionnaire was conducted separately between users of personal mobility vehicle and non-users. A total of 207 effective questionnaires were collected, and the analysis analyzed the perception of personal mobility vehicle by conducting frequency analysis using SAS 9.4. The survey focused on basic information on respondents, walking conditions, understanding of personal mobility vehicle, awareness of pedestrian space passage and parking, and awareness of the possibility of securing pedestrian rights due to new regulations. Results: First, when moving a pedestrian path by personal mobility vehicle, it shall be limited to less than the walking speed of pedestrians. Second, the parking location of the personal mobility vehicle is located at the boundary of the pedestrian road and the lane. Third, pay a fair price to park in a pedestrian space. Conclusions: It is necessary to improve the system to strengthen the contents of education to take into account the safety of pedestrians in education on how to use personal mobility vehicle.

보행보조로봇을 위한 다중 생체/역학 센서의 신호 분석 및 사용자 의도 감지 (Detection of Implicit Walking Intention for Walking-assistant Robot Based on Analysis of Bio/Kinesthetic Sensor Signals)

  • In order to produce a convenient robot for the aged and the lower limb disabled, it is needed for the research detecting implicit walking intention and controlling robot by a user's intention. In this study, we developed sensor module system to control the walking- assist robot using FSR sensor and tilt sensor, and analyzed the signals being acquired from two sensors. The sensor module system consisted of the assist device control unit, communication unit by wire/wireless, information collection unit, information operation unit, and information processing PC which handles integrated processing of assist device control. The FSR sensors attached user's the palm and the soles of foot are sensing force/pressure signals from these areas and are used for detecting the walking intention and states. The tilt sensor acquires roll and pitch signal from area of vertebrae lumbales and reflects the pose of the upper limb. We could recognize the more detailed user's walking intention such as 'start walking', 'start of right or left foot forward', and 'stop walking' by the combination of FSR and tilt signals can recognize.

교통약자의 공공시설 접근성에 따른 보행안전 만족도 연구 (A Study on Walking Safety Satisfaction according to Vulnerable Pedestrians' Access to Public Facilities)

  • 앞으로 교통약자의 수가 더욱 증가할 것으로 예상되므로 노인, 장애인과 같은 교통약자를 위한 다양한 정책이 마련되어야 할 시점이다. 본 연구에서는 교통약자들의 보행안전만족도에 보행자의 개인 및 가구특성과 공공시설 접근성이 미치는 영향을 실증분석하고, 교통약자의 보행안전만족도를 향상시키기 위한 방안을 모색하여 포용적 도시환경 조성에 기여하고자 하였다. 분석결과, 노인의 보행안전만족도에는 연령, 성별 변수가 중요하였으며, 장애인의 보행안전만족도에는 학력이 중요한 요소였다. 노인과 장애인 모두 1인가구일수록, 소득이 많을수록, 광역시가 아닌 지역에 거주할수록 보행안전만족도가 증가하였다. 공공시설 접근성의 경우 공공기관 접근성에 만족할수록, 도시공원 및 녹지 접근성에 만족할수록, 대중교통 접근성에 만족할수록 노인과 장애인의 보행안전만족도가 증가하였다. 노인은 상업시설 접근성에 만족할수록 보행안전만족도가 높아졌으나, 의료시설 접근성에 만족할수록 오히려 보행만족도는 낮아졌다.

저항 센서와 기울기 센서의 융합에 의한 보행 의도 감지 (Walking Intention Detection using Fusion of FSR and Tilt Sensor Signals)

  • 보행보조로봇은 고령화 사회에 노인 복지 및 중증 신경계 손상을 입은 환자에게 이동을 도울 수 있는 반드시 필요한 장비이다. 특히, 하지 마비 환자를 위한 보행보조로봇의 편리성을 위해서는 환자의 보행 의도를 내현적으로 파악함으로써 환자 의지에 따라 로봇을 통제할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문은 보행 의도 감지 모델을 개발하기 위한 선행 연구로, 먼저 저항 센서와 기울기 센서의 융합을 통하여 3족 보행 모델을 기반으로 사용자의 보행 의도를 분석하였다. 저항 센서는 사용자의 양쪽 손바닥과 발바닥에 각각 부착되어, 부착된 위치의 압력을 센싱하였다. 양쪽 손바닥의 신호는 보행 의도를 파악하기 위해, 발바닥의 신호는 보행 단계를 확인하기 위하여 사용되었다. 기울기 센서는 몸의 움직임 상태를 측정하기 위한 센서로서, 사용자의 등 부분, 요추에 부착되어 상체의 움직임(roll, pitch)을 센싱하였다. 연구 결과, 사용자가 지팡이를 바닥에 짚을 때 양 손바닥에서 측정되는 2개의 저항 신호만으로 기본적인 보행 의도를 파악할 수 있었으나, 기울기 센서 정보를 함께 이용함으로써 오른발 뻗기, 왼발 뻗기 등의 움직임을 시작하려는 상태 등에 대한 보행 의도를 보다 구체적으로 확인할 수 있었다. 결론적으로, 본 연구를 통하여 저항센서와 기울기 센서의 융합에 기반한 사용자의 보행 의도를 감지할 수 있었다.

농어촌 장애인 주택의 개조방안 연구 -지체장애인 및 뇌병변장애인 거주주택을 중심으로- (A Study on Improvement of Rural Housing for the Disabled - Focus on the Housing Where Live in Physically Disabled and Persons with Brain Resions -)

  • Generally, rural housing in Korea have had target of people who are in good physical health rather than the disabled. Therefore, it is difficult to offer high quality residential environment for the elderly and the disabled. The purpose of this study is to present the remodeling of rural house for the disabled. this study divides the a rural house into 7 sectors : a passage to entrance, an entrance hall, a livingroom, a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and etc. this study propose the following renovation plan that rural housing to be barrier free space. First, in passage to entrance of the house, people with disabilities should not experience difficulties in walking, so installing ramps to remove the stepped slope grade without slip so that the floor finish should be. Second, install grab handle on the wall inside the housing so that the disabled can lean on the handle. Third, placing the furniture in the bedroom that wheelchair can be rotated, and make to lower the height of the switchs. Forth, install a non-slip floor tile to prevent accidents in the bathroom.

Comparison of Lower Limb Muscle Activities by Various Angles of a Medio-lateral Ramp During Gait

  • PURPOSE: This study investigated the activities of lower limb muscles according to the angle of a medio-lateral ramp while walking to promote awareness of the risks associated with a medio-lateral ramp. METHODS: This study was conducted on 20 healthy male adults. The muscle activities of the vastus medialis oblique (VMO), vastus lateralis oblique (VLO), tibialis anterior (TA) and peroneus longus (PL) were measured while the subjects were walking on a 3 m medio-lateral ramp. Five angles (flat, $2^{\circ}$, $5^{\circ}$, $10^{\circ}$, and $15^{\circ}$) were selected for the angle conditions of the experiment on a medio-lateral ramp. The activities were measured during the stance phase only in the middle cycle of a three-cycle walking experiment. The mean value obtained from the three walking tests was used for the analysis. RESULTS: Results showed that walking on a mediolateral ramp required more muscle activities than walking on a flat surface, through which balanced walking was achieved. CONCLUSION: Walking on a medio-lateral ramp requires proper muscle activation and control, without which the risks of injury to the joints of the lower limbs and falls are likely to increase. Therefore, special attention should be given to older people and the disabled under the condition of traversing a ramp.

전동화 수동 휠체어 INMEL-VII의 주행 안정성 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Driving Stability for the Motorized Manual Wheelchair INMEL-VII)

  • 본 논문에서는 전동화 수동 휠체어 INMEL-VII를 위한 주행 안정성과 제어기의 개선에 관하여 연구하였다. 기 개발된 INMEL-VI의 2년 여에 걸친 현장 실험에서 오르막길에서의 후방 전복으로 인한 주행안정성, 모터의 PWM 제어로 인한 스위칭 노이즈, 심한 내리막길에서 주행 명령이 없어도 모터가 회전하는 문제들이 지적되었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 INMEL-VII에서는 모터와 구동축을 직결하고 출력을 증가시켰으며 바퀴의 중심축을 이동하여 무게중심을 안쪽으로 이동시켜서 후방 전복 임계 경사각을 크게 증가시켰고, 스위칭 주파수를 5kHz로 설정하기 위해 하드웨어를 개선하였다. 또한 INMEL-VII에서는 다양한 가속 및 감속 루틴으로 소프트웨어의도 개선하였다. 현장 주행 실험 결과 기계적 구성과 소프트웨어의 개선으로 인한 주행 안정성이 증가되고 다양한 조작이 가능해졌음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구결과로 장애자의 보행 보조기구연구에 기여하고 보행부자유자에게는 염가의 국산 전동휠체어를 사용할 수 있는 기화가 증가되기를 기대한다.

지체 장애인 여성을 위한 디자인 선호도 조사 및 기능성 의복 디자인 개발 연구 (A Research on the Design Preferences among and the Development of Functional Clothing Designs for Disabled Women)

  • This research is aimed to develop the functional clothing designs for disabled women in the manner of investigating design preferences among them by means of questionnaire and interview with 150 disabled women as respondents and interviewees. The findings of this research are summarized as follows: 1. Regarding satisfaction with ready-made clothes, the respondents answered 'very satisfied' (1.6%), 'usually satisfied' (14.1%), 'moderate' (20.3%) and 'unsatisfied' (53.1%), suggesting that they had been generally unsatisfied with ready-made clothes. 2. There were more disabled women preferring to ready-made clothes with one-grade bigger (loose.) size than the actual one (53.1%) instead of completely fitted size (43.8%) when they purchased such clothes. This result indicates that they prefer to ready-made clothes with bigger size than the actual one because most of such clothes are made up of non-elastic materials which may be unfavorable for wearer's activities. 3. It was found that primarily worn upper garment among them was T-shirt (59.4%). The reason may be that T-shirt is favorable for using prosthesis and orthotics such as wheelchair, walking stick and crutches thanks to its remarkably high activity as well as simple to maintain, compared with other kinds of upper garments. 4. Regarding preferences to functional clothing designs, the primarily worn lower garment among them was trousers (85.9%); the reason was easiness to move. The main reasons of avoiding to wear a skirt included 'difficult to move' (40.6%) and 'exposed disabled region' (30.3%). Accordingly, functional clothing for disabled women should be developed in consideration for their individual characteristics of disability associated with the disabled region such as wheelchair user, crutch user or brace user, In addition, the designs should be made so that they are not different from those for non-disabled people.
