Thermal Behaviors of (Cu0.5Mn0.5)Fe2O4 for H2 production by thermochemical cycles (열화학싸이클 수소를 제조를 위한 (Cu0.5Mn0.5)Fe2O4의 열적 거동)

  • Thermal behaviors of $(Cu_{0.5}Mn_{0.5})Fe_2O_4$, prepared by a solid method, were investigated for $H_2$ production by a thermochemical cycle. The thermal reduction of $(Cu_{0.5}Mn_{0.5})Fe_2O_4$ started from $300^\circ{C}$ and the weight loss was 1.3 wt% up to 1200. XRD shows the prepared ferrite has the spinel structure with a lattice constant of $8.414{\AA}$ and changed to the oxygen deficient structure by thermal reduction. Oxygen and hydrogen can be separately produced by the cycles of thermal reduction and water oxidation of the oxygen deficient ferrite.

Extrusion of Spur Gear Using High-Energy Ball Milled Al-78Zn Powder (고에너지 볼밀법으로 제조된 Al-78Zn Powder를 이용한 스퍼기어의 압출)

  • This paper was designed to fabricate the miniature spur gear with pitch circle of 2.25mm using extrusion process of a mechanically alloyed Al-78wt%Zn powder. The mechanical alloying of the powder particles were performed for ball milled times of 4h, 8h, 16 and 32h by the planetary ball milling. The mechanical properties of these alloyed powders, which were compacted and sintered-cylindrical preforms, were estimated using compression test. The results showed that the alloyed powder with average particle size of $10{\mu}m$ milled for 32h has the highest compressive(fractured) strength(288MPa). Extrusions of the miniature spur gear using the alloyed powder were carried out at different extrusion temperatures. Extrusion temperature of $300^{\circ}C$ provided the spur gear with the highest relative density and Vickers hardness and without any surface defects.

  • To verify the viability of Co, Ru and Zr-based catalyst for $CO_2$ (dry) reforming reaction, catalysts were fabricated using cordierite, silicon carbide and rota monolithic substrates, and they were compared with the conventional $Co-Ru-Zr/SiO_2$ catalyst in terms of performance and durability. Cordierite monolith was showed high activity with the least amount of active component. In addition, when Cordierite monolith was coated with Co-Ru-Zr in various ways, most excellent performance was showed at a precursor solution coating method. In particular, when 0.9 wt% Co-Ru-Zr/Cordierite was used for reaction, it was observed that 95% $CO_2$ conversion was maintained for 300 h at $900^{\circ}C$.

KOH 이방성 식각을 이용한 Ti-실리사이드 전계방출 소자 연구

  • 저항이 5$\Omega$-cm인 n-type Si(100) 웨이퍼를 실리콘 식각시 마스크로 사용하기 위하여 습식 열산화법을 이용하여 100$0^{\circ}C$에서 SiO2을 2400$\AA$ 성장시킨 후, OPCVD 공정을 통해 785$^{\circ}C$서 SiH2Cl2 가스 30sccm과 NH3가스 100sccm을 이용하여 Si3N4를 3000$\AA$ 증착시켰다. 이 웨이퍼를 포토-리쏘그라피 공정을 거쳐 지름 2$\mu\textrm{m}$의 포토레지스트 패턴을 제작한 후 600W의 RF power하에서 CF4 가스 10sccm, CHF3 가스 15sccm, O2가스 8sccm 및 Ar가스 10sccm을 이용하여 MERIE 방법으로 Si3N4를 식각한 다음, 7:1 BHF 용액내에서 30초간의 습식식각을 통해 40wt.%의 KOH 용액내에 8$0^{\circ}C$에서 30초간의 이방성 식각을 통해 피라미드 모양의 Si FEA(field emitter array)를 제작하였다. 본 실험은 다음과 같이 완성된 Si FEA를 샤프닝 산화 후 산화막 식각을 통해 마스크를 제거한 다음, tip의 열화학적 내구성을 증가시키고 장시간 구동시 안정성과 전계방출 전류밀도를 높이기 위해 tip의 표면에 Ti를 sputter 방법으로 약 300$\AA$ 증착시킨 후, RTA 장비를 이용하여 2단계 열처리 (first annealing:$600^{\circ}C$/30sec, second annealing : 85$0^{\circ}C$/15sec)를 통해 Si FEA의 경우보다 낮은 turn-on 전압과 높은 전계방출 특성을 나타낼 것으로 기대된다.

Hepatoprotective Effects of Curcumin Against Diethyl Nitrosamine Induced Hepatotoxicity in Albino Rats

  • Curcumin is widely used as a traditional medicine. This work was aimed to investigate its possible protective effect against chemically induced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in rats. Fifty male albino rats were divided into five groups (n=10, each). The control group received a single dose of normal saline, the diethylnitrosamine (DENA) group received a single intra-peritoneal dose at 200mg/kg body weight, and the 3rd, 4th and 5th groups were given DENA and daily administrated curcunine (CUR) via intra-gastric intubation in doses of 300, 200 and 100 mg/kg b.wt. respectively for 20 weeks. Serum, and liver samples were used for determination of alpha feto-protein (AFP), interleukin-2 (IL-2), interleukine-6 (IL-6), serum liver enzymes (AST, ALT, ALP and GGT) levels as well the activities and gene expression of glutathione peroxidise (GPx), glutathione reductase (GR), catalase (CAT) and super oxide dismutase (SOD). Curcumin significantly lowered the serum levels of AFP, IL-2 and IL-6, ALT, ALT, and malondialdehyde (MDA) as well gene expression of IL-2 and IL-6. In contrast it increased the gene expression and activities of Gpx, GRD, CAT and SOD. The protective effect of CUR against DEN-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in albino rats was proven.

스파타링에 의한 탄화티탄 피복에 관한 연구

  • The standrd electrolyte for the electrodeposition of chromium were preparwith reagent grade chromic acid(200g/L), sulfuric acid(pH=1.8)and oxalic acalic acid(640g/L)as additive. Carbon content in chromium plating varied about2.0-3.8 wt% with current density and temperatures of the bath. The hardeness of chromium platings incresed with increasing the annealing temperatures and showed maximum value of about Hv 1700 after annealing at$ 700^{\circ}C$for 60min. But, decreased it as annealing at above $700^{\circ}C$. The reason for varing thee hardness of chromium codeposited with carbon gradually foumed chromium carbide(Cr7C3), but that changed to Cr23C6 as annealing temperature at above $^700{\circ}C$. The X-ray diffraction pattern indicated that chromium carbides, such as Cr7C3 or Cr3C2, formed at formed at above $300^{\circ}C$. titanium coating sputtered on the on surface of chromium plating had performed and determined the hardness after annealing at 500, 600, $700^{\circ}C$ for 60min. the maximum hardeness was about Hv 2400 as annealing at $700^{\circ}C$. The titanium carbide formed in layer was identified by X-ray diffraction. It was confirmed that chromium and titanium carbide has effect of increasing the hardness.

  • 발열체는 전기 에너지를 열 에너지로 변환시키는 전기 저항체인데, Ni-Cr계 합금이 발열 가능 온도가 범위가 크고 열 효율 및 내 산화성, 내 부식성이 우수하여 발열체로 많이 사용되고 있다. 그리고 기존의 선형 발열체의 효율성을 개선한 면상 발열체가 개발되었고, 최근 나노 기술의 발달로 나노크기의 ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) 입자나 탄소나노튜브가 코팅된 형태의 투명 면상 발열체가 개발되어 주목을 받고 있다. 투명 면상 발열체는 발열체의 형태를 거시적으로 확인할 수 없기 때문에 자동차의 전면 유리 히터 및 건축용 기능성 창호 등의 심미적 효과를 요구하는 제품에 사용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 PVP(Poly vinyl Pirrolidone)을 이용하여 Ni-Cr Nanofiber 제조를 위한 효율적인 전기 방사 조건을 도출한다. PVP 질량에 따라서 Ethanol과 Methanol, 물을 이용하여 viscosity와 ion conduciviy를 조절하였고, 전기방사 조건으로 bead를 최소화 하는 나노섬유를 얻었다. 이어서 Ni-Cr/PVP 용액은 Metal Precursor wt.% 조절 및 방사조건으로 100~300nm의 직경을 가진 나노 섬유를 얻을 수 있었다. 산화/환원 열처리 후 PVP와 Oxide가 제거된 Ni-Cr nanofiber를 합성하였다. Nanofiber 형상은 FE-SEM으로 측정하였으며, XRD, FT-IR 분석을 통해 제작된 나노 섬유의 구조적 특성을 확인하였다.

Methane hydrate formation Using Carbon Nano Tubes (탄소나노튜브를 이용한 메탄 하이드레이트 형성)

  • Methane hydrate is crystalline ice-like compounds which formed methane gas enters within water molecules composed cavity at specially temperature and pressure condition, and water molecule and each other from physically-bond. $1m^3$ hydrate of pure methane can be decomposed to the maximum of $172m^3$ at standard condition. If these characteristics of hydrate are reversely utilized, natural gas is fixed into water in the form of hydrate solid. Therefore the hydrate is considered to be a great way to transport and store natural gas in large quantity. Especially the transportation cost is known to be 18~24% less than the liquefied transportation. However, when methane hydrate is formed artificially, the amount of consumed gas is relatively low due to a slow reaction rate between water and methane gas. In this study, for the better hydrate reaction rate, there is make nano fluid using ultrasonic dispersion of carbon nano tube. and then, Experiment with hydrate formation by nano fluid and methane gas reaction. The results show that when the carbon nano tubes of 0.004 wt% was added to pure water, the amount of consumed gas was about 300% higher than that in pure water and the hydrate formation time decreased.

  • This paper is aimed to study the effect of Pd activator, the annealing temperature, and operating temperatures on the response characteristics of the $SnO_2/Al_2O_3$ sensor. The resistance of device has shown minimum value when annealing temperature and operating temperature of device are $550^{\circ}C$ and $350^{\circ}C$ respectively in ethanol gas. And the response characteristics of the device showed the best results when lwt% Pd was added to SnOz especially in low concentration of ethanol gas.

A Study on the high temperature oxidation behavior of zirconia plasma coatings on Haselloy X (Zirconala 용사된 Hastelloy X의 고온산화거동)

  • Finned segment, with which are lined inner wall of the turbine combustors, are subject to severe degradation when they are exposed to a hostile environmment at elevated temperature. To protect the finned segment from this environment and to maintain good mechanical properties of components at high temperature, they are preferred to be coated. The most governing factor for the durability of coatings used in the high temperature is the microstructure of coatings; these are splat from, distibution of microcacks, size and distribution of pores, thickness of coating layer, adhesion between coating layer, and oxidation of band coating. In this study, based on the evaluation of the imported finned segment, new finned segment segment was manufactured with optimum plasma spraying parameters, and their properties were examined. Using $ZrO_2(8wt$Y_2O_3)$,/TEX> powder for ceramic coating and 67Ni-22Cr-10Al-0.5Y mixing powder for bond coating, thickness of ceramic and bond coating layer were varied in order to find optimum condition, the results showed that B2T4(bond coating : 100~250$\mu\textrm{m}$, ceramic coating : 250~300$\mu\textrm{m}$) was the best among the specimens tested. Compared to the imported finned segment, B2T4 has better bond strength, hardness, and isothermal and cyclic oxidation resistance.
