The chalcogenide glass (ALS, $Al_2S_3-La_2S_3$) was prepared by melting a stoichiometric mixture of aluminum powder and $La_2S_3$ under $H_2S$ atmosphere at $1200{\circ}C$. Glasses containing 0.1-0.1% of $Mn^{2+},\;Gd^{3+}$ and $Cu^{2+}$ were also prepared. The characteristic features of the ESR spectra for the transition metal containing ALS glasses are interpreted.

Solution and frozen solution EPR spectra of $\alpha-1,2,3-[HPV(IV)V_2W_9O_{40}]^{6-}$ have been analyzed. The isotropic hyperfine coupling constants remain constant at 350-77 K, indicating that the unpaired electron is delocalized over three vanadium atoms probably even in the ground state.

This study examined the effects of creative musical on school adaptation and self-efficacy improvement of school maladjusted adolescents. The subjects of this study were 229 students classified as suspected school maladjustment groups through Wee class counselors and students who were judged as at-risk groups as a result of the emotional behavioral evaluation test conducted by the Office of Education. The study period consisted of 100 minutes per session once a week from May 1st to October 31st, 2023, and a total of 15 sessions were held. To verify the effectiveness, a self-efficacy scale (SES) of Kim A-young (2002)'s school adaptation scale and Sherer et al. (1982) was conducted before and after the creative musical, and the results were analyzed through the corresponding t-test. As a result of the study, the subject's school adaptation (p<.05) and the sub-factors of companionship (p<.05), school class (p<.05), and school rules (p<.05) all increased and were statistically significant after the creative musical compared to before. The subject's self-efficacy (p<.01) and the sub-factors of the study, general self-efficacy (p<.01), and social self-efficacy (p<.05) also increased and were statistically significant after the creative musical compared to before it was conducted. Therefore, this study revealed that creative musicals are effective in improving school adaptation and self-efficacy of school maladjusted adolescents.

Maize (Zea mays L.) is a monoecious plant, which separates male (tassel) and female (ear) floret that evolved into increasing heterogeneity. In each floret, male or female, bears both one pistil and three stamens primodia before diverged to unisexual state. When diverged to tassel, pistil cell death occurs in the pistil primodium, which is mediated by TASSELSEED genes. In contrast, cell protection occurs in the ear pistil from TASSELSEED-mediated cell death, which is mediated by SILKLESS1 gene. On the other hand, cell cycle arrest occurred for a long time in the ear stamens and then the stamens eventually dye. The cell cycle regulating genes such as CYCLIN B and WEE1 are involved in this process. Furthermore, the temporal and spatial regulation of gibberellin biosynthesis may cause cell cycle block in arresting stamen cells. This review describes the cell death, cell protection, and cell cycle arrest mechanism during maize sex determination process at the molecular, cellular and developmental biology, and genetic levels.

We have estimated a metal abundance of [Fe/H]= -0.48 $\pm$ 0.14 dex, a reddening of E(B- V)= 0.30 mag, an age of 2.0 $\pm$ 0.4 Gyr, and a distance of 7.9 $\pm$ 0.8 kpc for Tombaugh 2 using the Washington filter system.

This study reviews (i) the (dis)advantages of two major semantic theories of focus, i.e., the Alternative Semantics (AS) and the Structured Meaning Theory (SM), and (ii) the hybrid analysis consisting of these two theories proposed by Krifka (2006). After pointing out a problem of this hibrid analysis, this study attempts to show the third alternative, i.e., the theory of identificational predication for focus can solve this problem.

Let ${X(t) : 0 \leq t < \infty}$ be a real-valued process with stationary independent increments. In this paper, we obtain necesary and sufficint condition for there to exist a positive, nondecreasing function $\beta(t)$ so that $0 < lim sup $\mid$X(t)$\mid$/\beta(t) < \infty$ a.s. both as t tends to zero and infinity. When no such $\beta(t)$ exists we give a simple integral test for whether $lim sup $\mid$X(t)$\mid$/\beta(t)$ is zero or infinity for a given $\beta(t)$.
